🌲 Ranking TEN Disney Channel Camping Episodes ⛺πŸŒ²πŸ’š

Let's celebrate this week by ranking MORE themed episodes! πŸŽ‰πŸ’š AHHH! I'm SO excited to be ranking another group of themed episodes and this week is dedicated ALL to CAMPING!!! 🌲⛺🌲

I've chosen TEN Disney Channel camping episodes and I'll be ranking them by which series did the theme of CAMPING the best! ⛺ I do also take into account if I disliked the secondary storylines, which effects my ranking too! πŸ’šπŸŒ²

Also, in A LOT of my themed posts I've mixed up Disney Channel series with non-Disney channel series... but, my sister (Back to Disney) convinced me to just focus on Disney Channel this time! πŸ‘€ So, this one is for you Alyssa! πŸ˜‚πŸ’š

Here are the themed episodes posts I've done SO far... I'm SO happy to be checking another theme off my list! πŸ’šπŸ ‹

🌳 CAMPING Episodes (THIS post!

Hey! This is my NINTH themed episodes post and it's the NINTH month of the year! πŸ’š I love COOL coincidences like that! 🌲

Well, what are we waiting for? πŸ’š Let's grab our sleeping bags and tents and go CAMPING! ⛺

🌲⛺🌲🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲

Before we discuss the CAMPING episodes, I have some extra FUN Disney Channel camping content to get us in the CAMPING mood! πŸ’šπŸŒ²

Let's FIRST start off with DCOM shoutouts and of course, we have to start with the movies that have the word CAMP in the titles! 🎢🌳

I have some special memories from the time Camp Rock came out and it's definitely my FAVORITE of the two! πŸ’“ I don't really like the second Camp Rock movie because it doesn't really have solid storylines and is mainly just music! 🎡 Both are still FUN movies to get into the CAMPING spirit, though! ⛺

Here is a FUN promo for BOTH movies... πŸ’šπŸ ‹

Second CAMPING movie is...

This DCOM isn't talked about as much as other ones, but I re-watched it for this post and it was a pretty good movie! πŸ‘ŒπŸ’› The brother and sister moments were SUPER cute and it had some FUN fall vibes, which gives off ALL the CAMPING feels! πŸπŸ‚

Here is a trailer and some clips I put together for this DCOM... πŸ’šπŸ ‹

Fun fact: Before G Hannelius was apart of the Bumblebee Troop, she played Dakota in Sonny with a Chance and was a Blossom Scout in the season one episode titled "Cookie Monsters"! πŸͺ That episode isn't on this episodes ranking because they didn't go camping, but it was apart of my summer episodes ranking (here)! πŸ’š That episode does fit the vibe of this CAMPING theme, though, because of the girl scout theme! ⛺

Now, time for Disney Channel animated shows/shorts CAMPING content! ⛺🌲

I HAVE to share some of Sofia The First's camping episodes because they have some CUTE camping songs! πŸ’šπŸŽΆ

I didn't watch these THREE camping episodes all the way through because I didn't have time, but I did listen to the CUTE songs! πŸŽ΅πŸ’š

The Buttercups (S1E15)

Buttercup Amber (S2E17)

I haven't seen EVERY Sofia The First episode, but from what I have seen, Amber is my FAVORITE character! πŸ’š First off, she has my name! Her FAVORITE color is green, which is also my FAVORITE color! πŸ˜²πŸ’š And... she LOVES stars and so do I! ⭐🌠 So, basically Amber is me in animated form, except I'm not royalty! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘‘

Camp Wilderwood (S3E23)

Okay, James KILLED that song! πŸ‘πŸŽΆπŸ’š

I was SO excited when I heard there was NEW Z-O-M-B-I-E-S content being made and they've started to release the NEW animated shorts, which I hope lead to a FOURTH movie! πŸ™ C'mon Disney Channel... break your THREE movies only rule! πŸ˜¬πŸ’š

One of the few shorts they've released so far is a CAMPING short! ⛺🌲

They haven't released a new short in a few weeks, but I hope they release MORE soon! πŸ€žπŸ’š

So, have you seen any of those CAMPING movies and episodes/shorts?!? 🌳 Did they give you ALL the CAMPING vibes? YAY! That means we're ready to move on to the actual ranking of TEN Disney Channel CAMPING episodes! πŸ‘⛺

Let's get into S'MORE camping FUN! πŸ˜‰πŸ«πŸ’š

🌲⛺🌲🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲

(from least to most favorite)

#10 - Ah, Wilderness (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody - S2E27)

Synopsis: Zack and Cody join the Grizzly Scout Troop and go camping with their friends and Mr. Moseby! ⛺ When Zack begins to steal the spotlight with his outdoor skills, Cody begins to feel jealous! 😳 Will Cody's jealousy lead him to lie to his Grizzly Scout troop? 🐻 When Maddie begins to go out with London's ex, Carey is caught in the middle and what she wanted to be a relaxing weekend with NO kids turns into a weekend of being caught in the middle of Maddie and London's drama! 😲

This episode is last on this list for a few reasons! 😬 First off, it has a SUPER creepy old guy that keeps talking about moving to his cabin because he thought there would be a lot of women there... like what?!? 😳 Then, there is the VERY annoying storyline of Maddie and London rudely interrupting Carey's kids free weekend and blaming her for their drama! πŸ™„ And lastly, it's a pretty BORING episode! 😴 The only funny parts were some of Bob's comments! πŸ’š So, yeah. This episode is definitely one I wouldn't re-watch! 😬

#9 - Wizard School Part 1 (Wizards of Waverly Place - S1E13)

Synopsis: It's officially SUMMER and Justin can't wait to attend Wiz Tech, but his Alex-free summer might not be so Alex-free when she gets in trouble and is forced to attend Wiz Tech along with Justin! 😳 With Alex and Justin away for the summer, Max wants to spend quality time with his dad! πŸ’š When Theresa doesn't believe they can last a night camping out on the terrace, Jerry and Max try to prove her wrong! ⛺

(Promo)

This episode's camping moments are the B storyline of the episode, which means they are VERY short scenes! 🌲 The scenes aren't that bad and it has a rain scene, which I LOVE anytime there is a stormy/rainy episode during a series! ☔ However, I didn't like the whole "We have to prove we are macho men" theme and I especially HATED Jerry's comment when he was going along with Theresa's charade of there being a rat in the apartment! πŸ€ He says, "You know how weak women are," when responding to needing to stay inside to "protect" Theresa, which was a really stupid comment considering Theresa just saved him from having to sleep in the rain! πŸ™„ That comment and the fact that there is barely any camping in this episode is why it's second to last on this list! πŸ‘Ž

#8 - When Mom's Attack (Lizzie McGuire - S1E3)

Synopsis: Lizzie and her friends are going on an overnight camping trip for school and Lizzie can't wait to have a parent-free adventure! 🌲 But, when the female chaperone can't come on the overnight trip, Lizzie's mom fills in to Lizzie's dismay! 😲 How will Lizzie's overnight camping trip be when her parent-free adventure becomes the opposite? ⛺ Matt and his dad are left home alone and try out some different recipes! 🍴 Things don't go too well, which ends up with them ordering a pizza! πŸ•

This is me getting ready to discuss this VERY annoying and confusing episode... πŸ ‹πŸ‘€

I LOVE Lizzie McGuire mainly for the early 2000s nostalgic vibes the series gives off! πŸ’š However, I have found the show to be VERY judgmental in almost EVERY episode I've re-watched and it's SUPER annoying! πŸ™„ So, I LOVE the 2000s vibes, but the judgmental comments made by the characters irritate me enough to where I wonder if an episode of Lizzie McGuire will ever make it high on one of these themed posts! πŸ‘€πŸ™‰

It's not just the judgmental comments that makes this episode rank low, it's also the fact that the lesson in this episode makes no sense! ✖ Lizzie is obviously upset at her mom for chaperoning the trip, but she begins to think her mom is cool when she takes the full blame for their prank on the boys! 🧻⛺  But, she doesn't really learn a lesson because at the end of the episode she basically still thinks her mom is "uncool" and is glad she is banned from chaperoning anymore trips! πŸ™ˆ It was just annoying how she was treating her mom the ENTIRE episode and only treated her semi-okay when her mom did something "cool" in everyone else's eyes! πŸ™„ And... there can't be the excuse that she is young and "What young girl would want her mom being on a school trip?" Because my mom went on EVERY.SINGLE.ONE of my school field trips and I NEVER treated her the way Lizzie treated her mom in this episode! ✖ There is a thing called having respect for your parents even if you are a spoiled pre-teen! 😢

The ONLY good things about this episode were the 2000s vibes and Kate's outfits! πŸ’š

Wow! It felt good to rant about this episode! πŸ˜‚ I am VERY curious as to what you will think of this episode! πŸ€”πŸŒ²

(RIDICULOUS judgmental comments)

(Bloopers)

I didn't talk too much about Matt's scenes with his dad, but the actor who played Matt and the actress who played Claire (Kate's cheerleader best friend) have a podcast where they discuss the episodes! 🎀 Here are some clips of their thoughts on this episode! πŸ ‹πŸŒ²

I don't agree that this episode is cute... but, I do 100% agree about the landlines! πŸ“ž Ahhh! I miss home phones too! πŸ’š

I am SUPER confused because one thing I liked about this episode was the fact that it was actually filmed outdoors, but now I'm wondering... is some of it filmed in-studio? πŸ€” I feel like most of it had to be filmed outside, right? 😬 I don't know, but another question is... did you have a stuffed animal growing up that was your FAVORITE? 🐻 I didn't really have a FAVORITE stuffed animal, but I did really LOVE this golden Labrador plush dog that I got when I was pretty young! πŸ• I never was one to have to bring a stuffed animal to sleepovers or anything, though! 🐡 I think I did bring at least one stuffed animal on any trip my family and I went on, though! πŸš— What about you?

I still don't think this episode had a clear message at the end of it! ✖

#7 - Frankie and Amelia's Fun Friend Weekend (Bizaardvark - S2E6)

Synopsis: Bernie's grandma wants to take him camping so that she can see ALL the skills he's learned at the wilderness classes she's been taking him too! 🌲 But, what she doesn't know is that he hasn't been going to the classes and has been sneaking off to Vuuugle and playing an Irish dancing game instead! πŸ˜²πŸ€ Will his secret be revealed during the camping trip or can he fake his wilderness skills well enough to not be caught? πŸ‘€ Frankie and Amelia opt out of the camping trip and realize they don't have anything in common when it's just the two of them! 😳 But, a wing eating competition might just be the one thing that can bring them closer as friends! πŸ—

(Promo)

Bizaardvark is a series where I always leave an episode not knowing if I LOVED it or thought it was too weird/cheesy! πŸ˜‚ I ALWAYS say Bernie carries this series and I still stick to that with this episode! πŸ‘Œ But, Paige also really shined in this episode with her enthusiasm about CAMPING! ⛺ I actually really enjoyed the CAMPING moments in this episode, but the other storylines in these episodes effects my ranking, as well! πŸ“Ί The A storyline in this episode with Amelia and Frankie includes a food eating contest and I HATE messy/nasty food scenes! So, their storyline wasn't my FAVORITE! 😬

This episode wasn't too bad and I actually laughed A LOT throughout it, but I think it's in a good spot on this list when compared to the others I'll be talking about next! πŸ’š

The A storyline with Frankie and Amelia does end up including a CAMPING moment... πŸ ‹⛺

Oh, another reason this episode ranks lower is because I feel there were too many Vuuugle videos in-between the scenes! πŸŽ₯ I understand the video breaks because it goes with the concept of the show, but too many breaks interrupts the flow of the episode! 🎬 There were THREE videos shown in this episode, but only ONE really should have been shown! πŸ“Ί I always look forward to seeing a singing video and this one has some Fresh Prince vibes! πŸ’š

#6 - Survival of the Fittest (The Famous Jett Jackson - S3E14)

Synopsis: Jett and the gang head to the great outdoors for a FUN camping adventure! ⛺ There's just one problem... Cubby forgets to put the brake on the car and EVERYTHING ends up falling off a cliff... literally! πŸ˜²πŸ—» Will they be able to survive out in the woods with NO camping gear, no food, no water, no phones, and NO way home? 😳 Jett's dad thinks his mom is going away for the night and invites his friends over to play a game of Monopoly... a game his mom gets wayyyy too competitive over! 🎲 But, when her plans get canceled, she finds out about the game night and joins in making a FUN game night turn into a competitive nightmare! 😲🎲

It's ALWAYS interesting watching episodes from this series NOT only because it's the FIRST time I'm watching the episodes, but because this is such an OG Disney Channel series that it feels different than ALL the rest! πŸ“Ί It's NOT bad... it's just a different vibe! πŸ‘Œ The acting isn't AMAZING (sometimes it's a little forced/over-the-top), but I actually feel like this episode had some really DEEP messages about self-worth and learning to be apart of a group when you usually stick to yourself! πŸ’š

The camping moments were definitely filmed outdoors in this episode and I LOVED seeing real trees and leaves! πŸ‚πŸŒ² The B storyline also was interesting to watch because it involved Monopoly, which is one of my FAVORITE board games! πŸ’š

Overall, this episode isn't the BEST camping episode, but it doesn't have any judgmental comments and actually has some nice messages! πŸ‘πŸ’š

#5 - Stan Runs Away (Dog with a Blog - S2E11)

Synopsis: It's time to decide where the James/Jennings family's next vacation will be! πŸŒ„ Avery and her mom want to stay at a nice hotel and go to the space museum (a place Avery's crush will be)! 🌠⭐ Tyler and his dad want to go camping, which leaves the deciding vote up to Chloe! πŸ‘§ When Stan finds out Avery will put him in a Kennel, he convinces Chloe to choose camping! ⛺ When Avery finds out Stan is the reason she isn't able to see Wes during vacation, she gets upset at him, which causes him to run away! 😲 While all the kids are having an awful time, Avery's mom finds a new LOVE for the outdoors! πŸŒ²πŸ’š

(Promos)

This episode definitely has it's weird moments, especially with Helen's storyline and a certain tree hugger! 🌲😬 But, it did have A LOT of camping scenes and I LOVE Stan (and Robert)! πŸ™ˆπŸ’š Basically, the A and B storylines revolved around the family camping trip, which made this REALLY feel like a full-on CAMPING episode! ⛺ One thing I didn't like in this episode was when the kids kept referring to Stan as a friend and weren't calling him family! 😒 The kids were definitely wayyy to harsh on Stan, but they do learn their lesson when he runs away! πŸ•

Again, this episode isn't my FAVORITE because of the awkward/weird moments, but Stan and Robert and the overall CAMPING vibe of the episode is why this ranks higher than the others! πŸ’š⛺

#4 - The Legend of Candy Face (Sonny With A Chance - S2E6)

Synopsis: When the feud between Mackenzie Falls and So Random becomes too much for Sonny to handle, she suggests a camping trip to bring everyone together! ⛺ But, when a legend of a creature called "Candy Face" is discovered to be true, will the two different shows be able to put their differences aside and catch the creature by working together? 🌲🌳🌲

(Promo)

Now, this episode has the MOST camping moments and I LOVE how they filmed scenes in the actual tent! ⛺πŸ’š Those scenes in the tent literally reminded me of sitting in a tent as a kid and just the WHOLE vibe of being in a tent! πŸ˜‚⛺ Sonny with a Chance episodes can either be a hit or miss for me and this one is definitely a HIT! πŸ‘ The random singing moments, the CAMPING vibes, Chad's screaming, Sonny's constant worry over luxurious items being brought on the trip... there are MANY funny moments in this episode! 🌲 Even the skit wasn't too bad and usually, I DISLIKE the skits SO much because I am NOT a fan of skits NO matter the series! ✖

Overall, this episode has A LOT of funny moments and I liked the setup of the camp even though I know it wasn't filmed in the actual outdoors! ⛺πŸ’š

Fun fact: This actress whose character was the chaperone (also the school teacher) in this episode also played in Den Brother as the head troop leader! ⛺ It's a small world in Disney Channel's camping universe! 🌲

#3 - Boy Songs & Badges (Austin & Ally - S2E16)

Synopsis: When Austin is invited to sing a brand new song on a live tv show, he finds out Ally is too busy to help him write a song in time! 😳⏳ He decides to write his own song inspired by Trish's new job as her brother's troop leader! ⛺ But, when he realizes the song is terrible, the gang helps him come up with a plan to sing it during a camping trip to act as if he wrote the song for the boys' troop! 🎢🌲 Will the plan go smoothly even when a bear shows up for the live performance? 🐻😲

(Promo)

Dez is the STAR of this episode! ⭐🌟🌠 Literally, he had me cracking up throughout the ENTIRE episode, but especially at the end! πŸ»πŸ˜‚ This episode didn't have the MOST camping scenes, but EVERYTHING else was SO good that it didn't matter if there were a ton of camping scenes or not! ⛺ I thought Austin and Ally's scenes were sweet, Trish's scenes with the boys were funny too (especially Nelson's lines), and again... Dez is hilarious in this episode! πŸ‘πŸ’š

I haven't watched an Austin & Ally episode in a while and it actually was A LOT of fun to watch this friend group again! πŸ’š This show definitely has it's FUNNY moments and sweet ones too! 😊 The only thing I didn't like was the short food scene at the beginning, but EVERYTHING else was SO good! πŸ’š

Literally I CAN'T with Dez when the guy tells him "FASTER!" and Dez begins to repeat his sentence REALLY fast... like, that's literally one of my FAVORITE Dez moments of ALL-TIME! πŸ˜‚πŸ’š

#2 - Boot It Up (Shake It Up - S2E25)

Synopsis: When Rocky and CeCe show up for Major Dance Boot Camp it turns out it's not dance camp at all! 😲 It's actually called Major Dance's Boot Camp and is an actual military style boot camp! 😳 When Rocky is put in charge as leader of the group, will the power go to her head? πŸ’ͺ When CeCe and the other girls decide to break the rules and sneak out, will Rocky bust them or join them? πŸ‘€ Flynn is sad that he has to miss summer camp due to his broken arm, but Deuce is there to cheer him up and invites Dina over to help Flynn earn some of his boy scout badges! πŸ’š Will Flynn earn enough badges to earn his sash? πŸ‘¦

This episode was actually in the number-one spot for the LONGEST time, but I switched it LAST minute just because the episode that is now number-one gives off more OG camping vibes and this episode mainly has boot camp/cabin vibes! ⛺ If you've read my previous posts, then you know that Shake It Up is my FAVORITE Disney Channel series and this episode has ALWAYS been memorable to me! πŸ’š First off, this episode is actually tied with Sonny with a Chance when it comes to how many CAMPING scenes there are because both the A and B storylines in this episode center around CAMPING! 🌲

What I LOVE about Shake It Up is it's a series where I genuinely enjoy ALL the storylines in an episode! πŸ’š This time around watching this episode, I actually was excited to see the Deuce, Dina, and Flynn storyline MORE than CeCe and Rocky's! 😲 Maybe it's because I remembered the CeCe and Rocky storyline SO much that I enjoyed watching one that I didn't remember as much, but I definitely think Deuce was the STAR of this episode! ⭐

Shake It Up is VERY underrated and it actually has some VERY smart script writing! πŸ’š The CeCe and Rocky moments gave me Cadet Kelly vibes and the Deuce, Dina, and Flynn moments gave me Den Brother vibes! πŸŒ²πŸ’š I LOVE both of the CAMPING storylines and of course, I LOVE the Hawaiian themed dance at the end of the episode! It wouldn't be Shake It Up without a FUN dance scene! πŸ’š

#1 - Ooo, Ooo, Itchy Woman (Hannah Montana - S1E9)

Synopsis: Miley and her friends go on an overnight camping trip for school and are forced to share a tent with Amber and Ashley! 😲 With Miley's dad's advice to be the better person and try to get along with them, Miley bribes Lilly and convinces her to be "friends" with Amber and Ashley for the trip! 😬 But, when Amber and Ashley make it IMPOSSIBLE to get along with, Miley and Lilly (with the help of Oliver) come up with a plan to get back at the two girls! πŸ‘€⛺ But, when lying down with the dogs, will the group of friends catch flees? 🐢 Billy Ray and Jackson are on a mouse hunt, but the mouse is smarter than expected! 🐭 Will they catch the rodent or become friends with it during the chase? 🐁

This episode was originally my number-two choice for this ranking, but anytime I thought about these camping episodes, this episode immediately popped into my mind FIRST! ⛺ I can't tell you how many times I've seen this episode in my life! πŸ˜‚ I basically knew EVERY line before they said it even though I haven't seen this episode in YEARS! πŸ’š This used to be one of my FAVORITE Hannah Montana episodes as a kid and it does give off SUPER nostalgic vibes! 🌲

One thing I don't like about this episode is how EVERYONE is not giving Miley and Lilly credit for trying to get along with Amber and Ashley and I get it's not good to seek revenge, but a harmless prank wasn't going to harm Amber and Ashley! So, I don't really know if I agree with the message of Miley, Lilly, and Oliver getting poison ivy as payback for scheming up a plan to get back at the girls who were being mean to them throughout the ENTIRE episode! πŸ‘€ I mean, I get the message about your actions having consequences, but I just wish one of the adults on the show would have also had a moment with Amber and Ashley about the things they were doing too! πŸ€” There should have been more of a balance between turning the other cheek and standing up for what's right at the same time! πŸ’š

Besides the message giving me mixed feelings, I LOVED the daddy/daughter scenes and those are some of my FAVORITE things about Hannah Montana because I was raised by a single dad since I was eleven and I've ALWAYS loved how this series revolves around a single dad! πŸ’š This ENTIRE episode felt like a walk down memory lane and I did REALLY enjoy it! πŸ‘πŸ’š It's definitely the BEST Disney Channel camping episode! ⛺πŸ’š

I didn't mind the B storyline either, which is GOOD because sometimes Jackson's storylines can be a hit or miss for me! 😬 But, I actually thought the scenes with him and his dad trying to catch the mouse were funny! 🐭 The ONE thing I REALLY didn't find funny though was the ONE comment about Uncle Earl's weight, which seems to be a running joke throughout the series, which I HATE! πŸ‘Ž

Other than that though, I pretty much LOVED everything else! πŸ’š

🌲⛺🌲🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲

WOAH! I just looked and not only is this my FIRST themed episodes post of the year, but it's almost been EXACTLY a year since I last posted one! 😲 That's CRAZY! πŸ™‰πŸ™Š It does not feel like it's been that long at all! πŸ’š

I had SO much fun creating this CAMPING post and I hope you enjoyed reading it! πŸ’š Which camping episode is your FAVORITE out of the ten? ⛺

This post is also SUPER special because it's being posted not only on the VERY first day of September, but more importantly, it's being posted on my oldest sister's BIRTHDAY! πŸ˜²πŸ‘πŸŽ‰

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARIEL!!!!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ’›πŸŽ‚πŸŽˆπŸ₯³πŸ’›πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

My sister actually had a CAMPING themed birthday when she was younger and I remember LOVING that ENTIRE day/night because it was our FIRST time using outdoor tents and we felt SO independent being outside on our own! πŸ˜‚ We got snacks and set up our own little sleeping bag areas! It was a REALLY fun birthday and I hope you're having just as much FUN today as you did then! πŸ’šπŸŒ²πŸ’š

I CAN'T wait to share my NEXT themed episodes post! πŸ’š But...

Until then...

Don't forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making! πŸ’š
