💄 Ranking Ten Episodes Where Characters Change Their Looks ~ Disney Channel & More 💇
Let's celebrate this week by taking a LOOK at characters changing up their styles and LOOKS! 💗🎉
When I first started looking into this theme, I figured all the "new look" episodes were the "baddie" episodes that are so much fun to watch! ❤ We all waited for our high school "bad girl" era, didn't we? Well, I've hit mine a little late in life, but it's fun being bad! ✌
Okay... take a chill pill! 💊 My "bad girl" era isn't too bad, but I would like to think that I'm as cool as Bad Girl McGuire! 😂❤
Back to the point, when writing down all the "new look" episodes, I found that there were other fun looks that didn't give "baddie" vibes, but that were cool in their own way! 😎 Like, dying your hair or being a hippie! ✌☮

#10 - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (So Little Time - S1E5)
So far, all of the So Little Time episodes I've re-watched haven't had a clear message in them. This one is no different! 👀
Riley and Chloe want to be more rebellious and plan to go to a secret party being thrown at the school! 🏫🎈 With new looks and the desire to be less predictable, Riley and Chloe are experiencing different emotions about the whole thing (look at the gif)! 😂
I was enjoying this episode a lot, until the ending when Larry dressed up as a girl to sneak into the party to find Riley and Chloe! 😳 Don't get me wrong, Larry is so sweet and caring in this episode! 😊 The scenes were just a little weird and out of place because they didn't really go anywhere! Him dressing as a girl was put in purely for comedic relief, but the scenes weren't funny to me and didn't move the plot along! 😕
Speaking of the plot, it didn't really have a conclusion! 🤔 Will Riley and Chloe stay "bad girls" or is that phase over? Who knows because the ending doesn't tell us! ✋ One thing is for sure, though, their baddie outfits are iconic! ❤
Usually, I don't vibe with the parents scenes, but the dad's storyline in this episode was pretty funny and I didn't get bored watching it! 👌
#9 - Girl Meets Jexica (Girl Meets World - S3E3)
This show. I just don't know what this show is! 😂
This episode had an interesting message that is very relevant today concerning social media, but it was presented so complexly that I didn't really understand it! 🤔
This episode was pretty boring because it was a lot of just sitting and talking! 💭 Cory acted more like an inspirational guest speaker than a real teacher! 🎤 I agreed when he says that using a fake name on social media is a way to spread more negativity, but I didn't agree when he said it also gives someone an undeserved moment of attention! ✖ Say you're an artist and you share your artwork on social media, but you don't use your real name... I don't think that's an underserved moment of attention if people like the artwork even if you're real name isn't attached. Some people want their work appreciated and not the name behind it. 👏 Did Cory think about that?
I'm just not sure Cory's lesson was well thought out. Social media has so many sides to it and he only covered one. 💻
Riley's alter ego didn't play a huge part in this episode and she only dressed up as Jexica for a short time in the episode! 💙 But, Jexica was cool, I guess.
None of the storylines in this episode got me pumped up. Let me know if you understand the lesson...
#8 - Sonny At The Falls (Sonny With A Chance - S1E3)
Sonny is wearing plaid which can only mean one thing... she's joined The Falls! 😲
Sonny doesn't feel appreciated at So Random and gets invited to hangout over at The Falls! 💙 I would have gone too if it meant seeing Chad Dylan Cooper and getting to wear the cute plaid uniform! 😂
This episode is actually very funny, but it's ranked pretty low because of the sketch (I don't like sketches) and the cafeteria food looked so gross that I could barely watch the scenes when they were standing in line! 😶 Other than those things, this episode is funny and it was interesting to see what it would have been like if Sonny was apart of The Falls and not So Random! 📺
I just don't like gross food scenes! 😳
#7 - Bad Girl (The Secret World of Alex Mack - S3E11)
This episode is literally titled "Bad Girl," which is funny! 😂 Straight to the point! 👌
This episode was going to be placed at number six, but the secondary storyline isn't as interesting as the comedic one in the next episode! 🎥 Speaking of comedy, this episode is pretty serious! There aren't any funny moments, but I think that's a good thing! 👍 That's why I LOVE mixing Disney Channel and non-Disney series because I get a mix of comedy and more real-life episodes! 💗 Also, this is a 90s series, so it's a WHOLE different AMAZING vibe! 💓
This episode has a great lesson about not judging someone based on appearance! 👏 Alex's "bad girl" stage in this episode is funny because you can tell how hard she's trying to not be her usual self and didn't we all go through that phase in our lives where we put so much effort into being different! It's way easier to just be yourself! 🙌
This episode is serious, but has a GREAT lesson! 💓
#6 - You Are So Sue-able To Me (Hannah Montana - S2E3)
You know how I always say I get annoyed with Miley's character? Well, she isn't that bad in this episode, except for the fact that she's not the greatest friend in this episode! 😳
She's the one that puts insecurities in Lilly's head and makes her change her look! 😬✋
I thought I was going to hate this episode because I knew it had gross food scenes! 🍝 However, looking past the food scenes, this episode was pretty light-hearted and funny! 💓 The court scenes weren't even that bad and for some reason, as a kid, I thought those scenes were so flippin' long! But, the court scenes aren't long at all and they are pretty funny! 👍
The Jackson scenes were okay. It was nice how he didn't want to let down his dad or his friend by having to choose between them to take to the Lakers game! 👌 Jackson's character can be pretty selfish sometimes, but he was actually nice in this episode! 👏
I liked this episode more than I thought I would and the super tiny snippet of "One In A Million" wasn't a bad bonus either! 💗🎵
#5 - Blue Mascara (Taina - S1E2)
This series is always such a vibe! 💙
Taina becomes apart of a singing group named Blue Mascara (3LW in real life) and changes to fit their image! 💙 Basically, blue everything! Blue hair. Blue nails. Blue outfits. Blue lipstick. And, of course, blue mascara! 😂
Her look isn't the only thing they change, though! 👀 The group wants her to change who she hangs out with because you have to drop people on the way to the top! 😳
Again, this whole series is just a vibe! There is so much sass and energy in this episode along with funny moments and lots of music! 💙🎵
This episode would have ranked even higher if the boys' storyline was just a bit more interesting! 💙 But, their scenes were still funny and I enjoyed watching them! 📺
I LOVE the message about not losing the people you care about just for a moment of fame! 👏 But, we ALL know that the music is the BEST part! 💙🎤 Also, Maritza's character is, as usual, super funny in this episode too! 😂

#4 - The Picture (Unfabulous - S1E3)
This episode is so flippin' nostalgic! 😊
I've seen this episode so many times, but it's still SO good! 💗 There is a vibe to season one that gives me so many nostalgic feels! It's definitely my FAVORITE season because ALL of the episodes are so good, including this one! 👏
I LOVE the message that it shares about insecurities and how everyone has them, but that's okay! Our differences make us unique! 💗
It's funny how this episode references the hairstyles that the Olsen twins had in So Little Time and that series is on this list, as well! 😂💗
The Jake and Addie moments in this episode are so sweet! 😊 Also, the songs are hilarious, especially when Addie sings that her life is trash because she has flat hair! 😂 I've always had flat hair too, so I get it! 🤣
This episode deals with the topic of insecurities really well and it's just a cute episode! 😊💗
#3 - Red Herring (H2O: Just Add Water - S1E21)
This is the episode where Emma turns into the Little Mermaid! 😂💓
Season one is my FAVORITE season because there's not one episode that I dislike! 💗 This episode has sweet friendship moments, Rikki and Zane moments, and classic under the sea moments! 🐠
The sunken boat prop was very cool and it added a mysterious vibe to the episode when Emma had to search through the boat! 🚢 Any Zikki (Zane and Rikki) episode is an instant favorite! 💗
My favorite scenes, though, are the ones of them dying Emma's hair because you can tell Cleo has no idea what she's doing and their reactions are funny! 😂
This whole episode is super chill, but also has a lot of angst when it comes to hiding the mermaid secret from Zane! 😳💗

#2 - Delinquent Justin (Wizards of Waverly Place - S3E21)
Two words. Hippie. Justin. Hippie Justin. ✌☮
This episode was originally going to be in the number one spot on this list! 👀 However, the next episode shares a really important message! 💓 But, this episode wins for comedy on this list! 👏🏆
Hippie Justin is a WHOLE vibe and speaks truth! 💗🙌
This episode is hilarious because of four characters... Hippie Justin 👏 The Parents 👏 and Zeke! 👏
In my opinion, this series began to focus heavily on Justin and Alex's characters who are very funny, but... I think the parents, Max, and Zeke carried the later seasons! ✋ Their characters make the show for me! 💗 Sadly, this episode doesn't show Max at all! 😢 But, it does have some hilarious scenes of the parents and Zeke! 🙌
The episode just has so many funny moments and a sweet ending! 😊 Hippie Justin goes off in this episode! Peace brotha! ✌
#1 - Babe Raider (Life with Derek - S1E11)
I was apprehensive about re-watching this series because I knew Derek's character wasn't
The boys in this episode are a BIG no. The girls in this episode are a BIG yes.
The boys are sexist. The women are feminists. The boys are immature. The girls speak TRUTH. 🙌
This episode is a total GIRL POWER episode! 💪
Cassie's character is so flippin' relatable in this episode and this episode hits on so many good points! 👏 First off, Cassie's character is a feminist, but she's also confused! She likes a boy, but hates how he plays a video game that degrades women! ✖ She feels like she's a hypocrite because she starts liking the game and wants to dress like the avatar in the game because she likes the strength the character portrays. She feels confused because she likes what she's wearing and feels confident, but when she finds out something about the avatar, she feels stupid for dressing like her! ALL of these confusing thoughts are what us girls have to turn over in our heads so many times in our lives! 🙄
I say, "Wear what the heck you want!" But, confusion does settle in when a protective state of mind happens and you know that it's not your fault that guys are idiots and can't keep their eyes in their heads, but you wonder if you shouldn't wear certain things because you don't want dumb guys staring! 😡 This episode shows the battle girls go through!
Cassie's character is so GREAT in this episode and stands up for ALL the right things! 👏 The guys make me SO flippin' angry in this episode! 😡 This episode is purely number one because of the GIRL POWER! 💪 I wish I could've had more backbone in high school to make an impact like Cassie does in this episode, but I'm so glad this episode exists to show that us girls can make a difference even if we don't have any guys signatures on our empowerment petitions! 🙌
So, when you go into this episode, ignore the guys and clap for how many times the women in this episode speak the TRUTH! 👏
