CELEBRATE!

Let's celebrate this week by cheering our way through this post! ๐Ÿ“ฃ๐Ÿงก

Cheerleading is a very stereotyped sport, especially on television! ๐Ÿ“บ So, I'm doing this post to share how Disney channel got it right and majorly wrong on the cheerleading front! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

What's really interesting is how for basically EVERY Disney Channel series there is one episode dedicated to the sport of Cheer! ๐Ÿงก

My background with cheer started at a young age! ๐Ÿ“ฃ I was in the first grade when I was put into my first cheer program and did it for two years before moving on to softball! ๐ŸฅŽ๐Ÿงก Then, in ninth grade, I decided to go out for the JV football cheer team and some how some way... I made the team! ๐ŸŽ‰

Before I made my high school cheer squad, I knew the basic knowledge of the stereotypes around cheerleading! ๐ŸŽ€ Basically, cheerleaders were either stuck-up or airheads... ๐Ÿ™„ They were the most "popular" students... ๐Ÿค” They thought they were better than everyone else... ๐Ÿ˜ Blah... Blah... Blah. ALL of these stereotypes are CRAZY now that I've been apart of a high school cheer team and have seen that those stereotypes are FAR from the reality of cheerleading! ๐Ÿงก

The cheerleaders in my high school were a mixture of different personalities, grade levels, and skills! ๐Ÿ“ฃ Sure, were there some stuck-up cheerleaders? Yes. But, was that due to them being on the cheer team? No. They were like that even in middle school when we didn't even have sports! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Were any of the cheerleaders airheads? Um. No. You do have to keep your grades up in order to even be on the team... โœ‹ Were we the most "popular" students? Some were. Some were not. I wasn't that close with the girls on my team and stuck with my same group of friends who were on other sports teams! ๐Ÿงก Yes, cheerleading did boost my confidence in school, especially with giving presentations in front of the class. I guess yelling at bleachers filled with people helped me conquer my fear of giving a speech to twenty other students in a classroom! ๐Ÿ‘ Now, I did still have my insecurities, just like everyone else! Those didn't just magically go away because I made the cheer team!

So, my cheerleading experience was honestly eye-opening! ๐Ÿงก It was A LOT of hard work! It was even more conditioning than I EVER did in softball! ๐Ÿ˜ณ I learned a lot during my time as a cheerleader and developed new skills I had never had before! I was more involved in school than ever before and got to do things I never would have done if it wasn't for being on the cheer team! ๐Ÿ“ฃ There were pros and cons, but the pros were worth it because I will never have an experience like that again!

So, because I learned how the stereotypes of cheerleading are so WRONG... watching how Disney Channel handled the topic kind of bothered me! What is interesting, though, is how the characters on these shows that make fun of cheerleading are the ones who didn't make the squad... bitter much? Not making a sports team doesn't give you the right to make fun of someone who did! ๐Ÿ˜ Oh, and for some reason, Disney Channel liked to stereotype cheerleaders as "airheads" and had other characters make those comments numerous times... even from adults! ๐Ÿ™„ It's honestly ridiculous how they were teaching kids to stereotype their peers based on sports and IQ levels! โœ‹

Now, some of the episodes show cheerleading in a positive light! ๐Ÿ‘ Those are the episodes that are higher on my list because breaking the stereotypes of cheerleaders is so important, especially on TV because let's be honest, kids soak-up what they watch! ๐Ÿงก

I had to rant... but don't worry, this post is going to be tons of fun! I mean, even if you don't want to admit it... cheerleading lifts your spirits! ๐Ÿงก

There is only ONE episode on this list that isn't from a Disney Channel series, but that's the episode I was watching when this idea came to me! So, of course, I HAD to include it! ๐Ÿ˜Š Also, I only wanted to include episodes from shows I still watch to this day, but I broke my own rule and added some from series I don't watch... what can I say? I didn't want the cheering to end! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Now, I know I just ranted about the stereotypes you'll see in these episodes, but I still had a ton of fun watching cheerleading after cheerleading after cheerleading! ๐Ÿ“ฃ I hope you have just as much fun while reading this post! ๐Ÿงก

So, get your pom-poms out! ๐Ÿ“ฃ Mega-phones, check! โœ” Let's do this thing! ๐Ÿ’—

 ๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ

Before we get into the different episodes, there are some bonus cheerleading clips to show you from other Disney Channel projects! ๐Ÿ’—

The first is from one of my favorite DCOMS of ALL TIME ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Ever since I was a kid, this movie has always been one of my FAVORITES! ๐Ÿ’— I LOVE it even more now that Latin American culture is something I'm really into! ๐Ÿ“ฃ I can't wait to watch these clips again! So, what are we waiting for?!? Let's watch these characters journey to kicking it up on the dance floor! ๐Ÿ’— Oh, and for this movie, the cheer squad is a mixture of dance and cheer, which is something I would have totally been apart of in high school! ๐ŸŽ‰

What was your favorite routine that they did in the movie? ๐Ÿ“ฃ Mine was their second routine because they looked the happiest and had the most energy and their homemade uniforms were super cute! ๐Ÿ’—

Now, one last clip before we begin ranking the cheerleading episodes... This next clip is from the iconic 2008 Disney Channel games! ๐ŸŽ‰ I remember watching the DC games as a kid and being so flippin' excited during commercial breaks when the teams came back on the screen to play in new events! ๐Ÿ’— This next event you'll see is the teams having to show off their team cheers! What color team had the best cheer? Let's watch to find out! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Which team do you think had the best cheer? The yellow team definitely deserved to win, but they did have an advantage with Moises Arias being on the team! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽ‰

That's all the extra CHEER-TASTIC clips for today, but the fun continues with all the cheering you're about to see in these iconic cheerleading episodes! ๐Ÿ’— Let's do this! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ

(from least to most favorite)

#17 - Go Teddy! (Good Luck Charlie ~ S4E4)

This is one of the Disney Channel series I don't watch, but decided to add to this list just for this post! ๐Ÿ’— I used to watch this series a lot when I was younger and stayed up way too late during the summer watching whatever was playing on Disney Channel and most of the time it was reruns of this show! ๐Ÿ“บ I was surprised at how much I disliked this episode! I didn't remember Teddy being such a stuck-up character, but she was definitely like that in this episode! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

PLOT: There are three storylines happening in this episode! The first one is of Teddy hearing about the cheerleaders getting to go to Hawaii and wanting to join the team solely because she wants to take a trip without her family tagging along! ๐ŸŒž The second storyline is of the dad, Bob, finding ways to go against the "drop-off dress code" for Charlie's pre-school all because he wanted to wear a bathrobe to drop-off Charlie! ๐Ÿ‘˜ The last storyline is of Gabe daring PJ to try and fit into a baby swing and PJ taking up the bet and finding himself stuck in said baby swing! ๐Ÿ‘ถ

Honestly, I didn't enjoy any of the storylines! ๐Ÿ˜” Teddy was way too snobby about her stereotypical opinions on cheerleading and I feel she didn't even learn her lesson by the end of the episode! The dad's storyline was funny at first, but then he just got really annoying and disrespectful towards the pre-school staff! ๐Ÿ™„ The Gabe and PJ storyline was kind of funny, but mainly just the conversation with PJ and his mom at the end of the episode made me laugh! ๐Ÿ‘ถ

So, all in all, this episode was offensive towards cheerleaders and showed that people who put down cheerleaders are usually the snobs themselves! ๐Ÿ’—

#16 - Popularity (The Famous Jett Jackson ~ S2E4)

This is a very nostalgic Disney Channel series that sadly, isn't on Disney Plus! ๐Ÿ˜ข But, it is on YouTube, which means I'll be watching this show for the first time this fall! ๐Ÿ‚ Why this fall? Well, I've been wanting to watch this series for a while now and this was the first episode I've seen of it and it gave off so many fall vibes that I've decided to save watching anymore episodes till this fall! ๐Ÿ’— This episode doesn't have the most cheerleading vibes and that's why it's lower on this list! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

PLOT: JB feels he's only known as the famous Jett Jackson's friend and finds an opportunity to earn himself some popularity from a cheerleader who needs better grades in order to stay on the cheer team! But, popularity isn't all it seems to be, especially when it's only from making a deal with someone! ๐Ÿ’— Now, the plot of this whole series is about Jett Jackson being a famous actor and wanting to move back to North Carolina to be a "normal" teenager! So, he moves his TV series "Silverstone" to his hometown! Now, Silverstone is a series within this series and clips from Jett's show are actually shown in all of these episodes as other storylines! It's pretty cool because you get to see the actual show that Jett's character acts in versus just him talking about going to set and stuff! โค So, the Silverstone storyline in this episode is of Jett's character having to go undercover as a waiter to obtain a virus that is held on a computer disc! ๐Ÿ’ฟ The third storyline involves Jett's dad as sheriff and I would tell you the storyline, but I'm a little confused on the names and what was really going on since I've never seen this series before! ๐Ÿ’—

I LOVE the vibe of this show and how it has those 90s/early 2000s feels! ๐Ÿ’— The southern vibe of the show was fun, as well! Everyone had southern accents and it just felt like a feel-good series! ๐Ÿ’— Like I said before, there wasn't any cheerleading that was actually shown. The episode was just about a cheerleader, but I still wanted to include it on this list since I watched it for the first time! ๐Ÿ“บ The Silverstone storyline was interesting because I love anything to do with spies! ๐Ÿ•ต Even though I can't explain the dad's storyline, I enjoyed that one too! ๐Ÿ’— Overall, this series had a great message about friendship and doing the right thing! Oh, and this series ended on June 22, 2001, which was on my second birthday! CRAZY! ๐Ÿ’—

#15 - Cheers, Jeers and Tears (The Jersey ~ S3E9)

This is another nostalgic Disney Channel series that is basically extinct! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ You can't find the full series of this anywhere and there are only some of the episodes on YouTube! ๐Ÿ’— This is another series that I plan on watching in the fall, but I have seen more episodes of this series than The Famous Jett Jackson! So, I'm a little more familiar with the concept and characters of this series! ๐Ÿ“บ Basically, if you've never seen this series before, it's about three cousins and their friends who have this magical jersey passed down from the cousins grandfather that sends them to different moments in sports history as actual sports players! Each time the jersey sends them somewhere it of course comes with a lesson that they learn that helps them with whatever their dealing with in their normal everyday lives! โณ

PLOT: In this episode, Hilary is the one the jersey chooses to help! ๐Ÿ’› Hilary is having a hard time being a cheerleader, especially with the captain of the team not being so friendly! However, when the head cheerleader gets injured and Hilary becomes team captain, she finds out just what it means of having to earn the respect of the other cheerleaders in order to be a real team! ๐Ÿ“ฃ The other storyline is about Nick and Coleman trying to get their rap song on the radio station that Morgan's mom runs! Things get switched up and their song might actually air... but not on purpose! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

This episode definitely had more cheerleading in it than the previous ones and it had those same early 2000s vibes as The Famous Jett Jackson! ๐Ÿ’› There was a good message about teamwork and honesty! The only reason it's lower on this list is because I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to sports history! So, I had no clue who the jersey chose for Hilary to act as for those scenes, which made me a little bit bored and confused! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ However, I still can't wait to watch more of this series and I love how cheerleading wasn't looked down upon in this episode and how Morgan even said how the cheerleaders worked harder than the football players! ๐Ÿ’—

#14 - Guess Who's A Cheerleader (Dog with a Blog ~ S1E13)

This is another Disney Channel series I don't watch much, but I did when it first premiered! ๐Ÿถ I remembered seeing this episode, but I didn't remember exactly every detail about it! ๐Ÿ’— If this was a ranking on the cutest TV dog, then Stan the blogger dog would be number-one! But, this is a cheerleading episodes ranking and sadly, this episode is another one that stereotypes cheerleaders! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

PLOT: Avery learns that the cheerleaders want her on the team because she's easy to lift as a flyer, but being on the cheer team might mean having to end her friendship with her best friend Lindsay! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Stan helps Cloe create a huge fort while creating a play to show Avery how she's been treating her best friend Lindsay ever since she joined the cheer squad! ๐Ÿ“ฃ The third storyline is about the dad wanting to bond more with Tyler by going camping! But, instead, the two of them end up locked in a tool shed in their own backyard! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

This episode was okay. Honestly, it was kind of boring! I find it weird how Avery laughed when Tyler told her the cheerleaders were thinking as if they never used their brains before, but as soon as she found out they wanted her on the team, all of a sudden she was so excited and BFFs with them... hypocritical much?!? ๐Ÿ˜ This is a cheer episode that made the cheerleaders seem snobbish and laid out all the stereotypes all over again! The Chloe and Stan storyline was boring. The dad and Tyler storyline was actually kind of funny and the only one I semi-enjoyed watching! ๐Ÿ’— Overall, this episode is only this high because of Stan. Not the voice actor of Stan, but the dog who played Stan. The end.

#13 - Sports & Sprains (Austin & Ally ~ S2E21)

I was going to put this episode higher because it doesn't put down cheerleaders and even breaks the "norms" and has Dez trying out for the team, but this isn't an episode I would choose to watch over and over again, which puts it a bit lower on this list! ๐Ÿ’›

PLOT: This episode is about the whole A&A gang getting more involved in school activities! Dez is going out for the cheer team. ๐Ÿ“ฃ Ally is writing for the school paper. ๐Ÿ“ฐ Trish is trying to win money by showing the most school spirit. ๐Ÿ’ธ And, lastly, Austin goes out for the basketball team and gets to perform during half-time! But, will an injury on the court mean no more performing? ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’›

I LOVE how sporty this episode is! ๐Ÿ’› It definitely gets you pumped up! ๐Ÿ“ฃ I love how supportive the group was towards each other! Friendship definitely shines through this episode! ๐Ÿ’› Of course, the Austin performance was a must-watch and made the episode better! Music makes everything better! ๐ŸŽต This episode had it's comedic moments for sure! I just have to be in the vibe to watch Austin and Ally, but when I am, this is definitely a fun episode to watch! ๐Ÿ’—

#12 - Rumors (Lizzie McGuire ~ S1E1)

Lizzie McGuire is nostalgia all the way! ๐Ÿ’— The cheer episode is actually the very FIRST episode of the whole series! ๐Ÿ“ฃ Now, this episode still didn't make my top ten because of Lizzie's mom making negative comments about cheerleaders, but there weren't any comments made besides those, which is good! ๐Ÿ’—

PLOT: Lizzie has a goal of trying out for the cheerleading team even if her friends don't think it's the best idea! When she doesn't make it and ends up learning that Kate has, she sends an instant message to Miranda about Kate that accidently gets sent to the WHOLE school! While Kate goes through plan after plan to humiliate Miranda, will Lizzie find the courage to fight her own battle and admit to Kate that it was her that sent the message and not Miranda? ๐Ÿ“ฃ On the other hand, Matt brings home his class pet and has his parents look after it while he's at school! Things don't go according to plan, which may or may not lead to a pet funeral in the backyard. But, is the lizard really dead or has it gotten buried alive? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Like I said before, this episode did have a couple of comments that I didn't like, but that's not the only reason it's a bit lower on this list. The secondary storylines have a part in this ranking as well and the one for this episode wasn't the most entertaining! Sometimes with Lizzie McGuire, the Matt storylines don't keep me that interested in the episode. ๐Ÿ’— Also, the cheer at the end of this episode would be really cruel if cheered in real life about someone. So, while the cheer was funny because it was random, it had a very mean message that wasn't funny! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

#11 - Wombat Wuv (Even Stevens ~ S2E16)

When I first started watching this episode, I figured it was going to rank in the top three on this list! ๐Ÿ’š Even Stevens has become one of my favorite Disney Channel series because of how random and insanely funny it is! ๐Ÿ’› As this episode went on, though, I began to feel disconnected from the characters. ๐Ÿ˜ข

PLOT: Ren's first day of cheerleading has arrived and she has the uniform, the pom-poms, and the smile... but... she's missing one thing... her PERKY PLACE! Will she find her perky place or will she take away everyone elses? ๐Ÿ’š Louis is the new school mascot for only one reason... to spend more time with the new cheer coach! Will he realize that he's living in a fantasy? ๐Ÿ’›

Like I said, this episode was going to go way higher on this list! However, Ren's speech she gives to the team at the end was really mean and the fact that she didn't even really apologize didn't make me feel she was genuinely sorry for putting everyone's spirits down! But, maybe I'm just overthinking everything at this point! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Louis's storyline is actually why it ranked even lower on this list! He's hilarious, but this episode was just creepy with him having fantasies with being married to the cheer coach who was wayyyyy older than him and let's not even talk about the eyebrow situation! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ All in all, this episode definitely had me laughing, but it also had me really confused about the plot! ๐Ÿ’š

This episode does have one of my favorite Louis scenes EVER! I can play this clip over and over again and laugh every time! ๐Ÿ˜‚

#10 - Franken Girl (Wizards of Waverly Place ~ S3E1)

Wizards of Waverly Place is another one of my favorite Disney Channel series because of the family aspect! The WHOLE family is hilarious and very realistic... you know apart from the whole wizards thing! ๐Ÿ˜‚ This episode would be higher if Franken Girl didn't freak me out as much! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ It's not that she freaked me out as in she was a legit monster! It was because of how clingy she was! To me, nothing is worse than a clingy person! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm only half kidding here! ๐Ÿ’›

PLOT: Alex won't stop stealing stuff from Justin's room! So, Justin creates Franken Girl to scare Alex away! But, it doesn't work out. So, Justin makes it to where Franken Girl is Alex's new best friend... something that Alex hates... at first. Will Alex still like Franken Girl when she makes her tryout for cheerleading? Will Alex make the team? ๐Ÿ“ฃ Max is picking sides throughout the whole episode on who he agrees is doing the best job of winning the sibling rivalry that always seem to be going on between Justin and Alex! ๐Ÿ’›

Surprisingly, I thought Alex would have made a few comments about cheerleaders in this episode, but it turns out that she's actually sweet about it when she finds out that Harper is one! ๐Ÿ’— This episode had the same old Justin and Alex bantering that actually never gets old! ๐Ÿ’› The parents are always so flippin' hilarious and Max is always so clueless that I really think he's the smartest of them all... ๐Ÿ˜‚ This was just a fun episode to watch and it was nice that cheerleaders weren't being made fun of! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

#9 - ParticipANTs (A.N.T. Farm ~ S1E2)

I watched this whole series last summer and didn't realize how funny it was until I binged it! It's actually very comedic and all the characters are so quick-witted with their comebacks! ๐Ÿ’œ This episode had me laughing throughout watching it and it didn't have any negative comments towards cheerleading, except for when Olive said cheerleading goes against everything she stands for as a feminist, which I have no clue what she meant by that! ๐Ÿ˜‚

PLOT: China and Olive tryout for the cheerleading team together and China makes it! ๐Ÿ’œ However, there might be a reason China is on the team other than the fact that she has school spirit! ๐Ÿ“ฃ Fletcher signs-up for a club Cameron created to end world hunger, but it turns out it's only a club Cameron is using to end his own "hunger". Will Fletcher still join the club after knowing it doesn't help anyone? ๐Ÿ’œ

This episode had me laughing a lot, but the reason it's not higher is because I wasn't the biggest fan of the secondary storyline! ๐Ÿ’œ I LOVED all the cheerleading scenes and I feel this episode showed that China Anne McClain is a really good comedic actress! ๐Ÿ’œ

#8 - Cheer Up Girls (I Didn't Do It ~ S2E11)

I've never seen this episode before because I haven't seen all of season two of this series yet! But, I'm so glad I watched this episode because it has such a great message about girl-power! ๐Ÿ’—

PLOT: Lindy realizes that there isn't a cheer team for any of the girls sports! ๐Ÿ˜” To stand up for the right to have a cheer team for girls, the girls decide to form their own cheer team! ๐Ÿ“ฃ While the girls are busy fighting on the cheer front, the guys become superheroes! ๐Ÿฆธ Logan is a birthday party superhero that finds himself actually helping a civilian when her purse is stolen and Garrett wants to be his sidekick! ๐Ÿ’›

There isn't one scene in this episode that I disliked! ๐Ÿ’› I enjoyed watching both storylines, especially the girl-power one (insert Cheetah Girls song here)! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Lindy might have been surprised that she could do tumbling during this episode, but Olivia Holt was actually a cheerleader in real life! So, she got to show her cheer skills through her character in this episode! How cool! ๐Ÿ“ฃ๐Ÿ’—

(This Is My Life - Olivia Holt)

#7 - Girl Meets Rah Rah (Girl Meets World ~ S2E19)

I've only ever seen the first season of this series and wasn't planning on watching the rest, but I added this episode last minute because I wanted to watch more cheerleading! ๐Ÿ“ฃ I have so much to say about this episode and series! So, let's read the plot first, then get into my opinions! ๐Ÿ’—

PLOT: Riley is trying out for cheerleading, yet again! She tries out every year and every year doesn't make the team! ๐Ÿ“ฃ Her friends don't want her to torture herself another year with another rejection, but she decides to tryout anyways! With a history lesson given by Riley's dad about Thomas Edison, will Riley be inspired to give up or never quit trying? ๐Ÿ’—

This series. This episode. Oh, where to begin? First off, this series is very unrealistic when it comes to how teenagers talk. NO KID TALKS LIKE THEY DO IN THIS SHOW! The writers had the middle schoolers talking as if they were thirty! Phew! It felt good to get that off my chest! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Secondly, this episode made it seem as if the world revolved around Riley, especially in class! Do the other students ever get lessons catered to what they're going through in life or is it just Riley and her friends that get the special treatment? ๐Ÿค” Now, you might be wondering, how did this rank so high if I'm ranting so much about it? That's a good question! ๐Ÿ’— This episode had the most cheerleading tryout scenes versus any other episode on this list! ๐Ÿ“ฃ Watching a full cheer routine on the blue mats brought me right back to my high school days as a cheerleader! We had to roll those blue mats out every practice and roll them right back up at the end of practice! ๐Ÿ’™ This episode reminded me of my own cheer tryouts and I honestly got emotional thinking back to how excited I was to tryout! ๐Ÿ˜Š Also, the lesson in this episode is actually very deep and even if I laughed at how the dialogue was seriously unrealistic, the lesson was very good! Also, Riley sort of reminded me of my sister Ariel who never gave up when it came to making the cheer squad and never resorted to putting down cheerleaders just because she didn't make the team one year and instead, tried again the next year! ๐Ÿ’— Wow! I've typed a lot about this episode! I must have some strong opinions about it! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Let's roll the clips! ๐ŸŽฌ

#6 - Mascot Love (Hannah Montana ~ S1E8)

If this episode was just Miley and Lilly's storyline, it would have been even higher on this list! ๐Ÿ’— Talk about nostalgia! This episode is the definition of nostalgia! Okay, maybe that's a little too far, but man, this episode brings me back! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

PLOT: Miley convinces Lilly to tryout for cheerleading so that they can spend more time together! ๐Ÿ’— But, when Lilly makes the team and Miley doesn't, will Lilly quit in order to find another way to have more Miley and Lilly time? ๐Ÿ“ฃ Jackson asks his dad if he can fix the garbage disposal to earn some extra cash and his dad actually agrees! Will Jackson find his calling as a plumber? ๐Ÿ’—

Like I said before, if this episode was just the cheer scenes, then it could have even made it as my number-one choice! ๐Ÿ’— Unfortunately, that's not the only storyline! ๐Ÿ˜ข I strongly dislike when certain professions are made fun of on television, especially plumbing! My dad used to be a plumber and I hated when jokes were made about that profession! ๐Ÿ˜ Jackson's storyline pokes fun a bit about plumbers and that's why this episode isn't higher! I didn't really enjoy Jackson's storyline. The only thing I liked about it was that Spider-Man was mentioned. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I LOVED all the cheer scenes, though! Oh, and can we talk about how as kids the Hannah Montana concert scenes seemed wayyyy longer than they actually were? ๐Ÿ’— She literally just sings one line over and over again in the concert scene! ๐Ÿ˜‚ But, hey, the pajamas are on point! ๐Ÿ‘Œ

#5 - Spirit It Up (Shake It Up ~ S3E3)

If you've read my blog before, then you know that Shake It Up is one of my all-time FAVORITE series! ๐Ÿ’— Anytime dancing is involved... I'm there! ๐Ÿ’ƒ

PLOT: CeCe and Rocky are missing dancing on Shake It Up Chicago and decide to help out the spirit squad with their performance for the pep-rally! ๐Ÿ“ฃ But, when Rocky becomes too uptight, will she be able to stay on the spirit squad? ๐Ÿ’™ Tinka is lonely now that Gunther has gone back to their home country! ๐Ÿ˜ข So, she starts hanging out with Duce and Dina! But, when Duce begins to feel like the third-wheel as Tinka and Dina become BFFs, will he convince Dina to ditch Tinka? ๐Ÿค” Flynn is trying to convince the new kid in the apartment building that he can commit to his friendships, but when the new kid begins to become too clingy, will Flynn give up yet another friendship? ๐Ÿ’—

Yes, the Hannah Montana scenes were super nostalgic and almost beat this episode! But, the thing I love about Shake It Up is that I genuinely enjoy watching EVERY storyline! ๐Ÿ’— I was interested in every storyline in this episode! The dance scene at the end was just the icing on the top! ๐Ÿ’™ If my high school pep-rally's were as hype as the one in this episode, then maybe I would have enjoyed them more! ๐Ÿ’— The episode has good messages about doing your best and taking care of your friendships! ๐Ÿ’™

#4 - Corner Pocket (Phil of the Future ~ S1E20)

I am honestly shocked at how high I've ranked this episode because I didn't even have it on this list to begin with! ๐Ÿ’› This was the last cheerleading episode that I watched and I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it! ๐Ÿ’™ I don't watch this series because it kind of freaks me out! But, this episode was actually not freaky at all! ๐Ÿ’›

PLOT: Keely tries out for cheerleading and doesn't make the team! ๐Ÿ˜ข But, she's not worried about her own disappointment, but about her mom's! So, she doesn't tell her mom that she didn't make the team, which leaves her with having to be on a "fake" cheer squad that Phil makes up in order to help his best friend! ๐Ÿ’™ On the other side of things, Pim is sick of Debbie being cheerful all the time and loving everything! So, Pim sets off to find if there is anything at all that Debbie hates! Will she find it? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

This episode was honestly really relaxing to watch! ๐Ÿ’› It didn't have anything overly weird in it and was just a feel-good episode about friendship and honesty! ๐Ÿ˜Š I loved how sweet Phil was towards Keely! ๐Ÿ’™ I can see how people ship them! Also, it was a fun surprise to see Brenda Song have a character in this episode because I totally forgot she was in this series! ๐ŸŽฅ Overall, this was an episode that I would definitely watch again! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

#3 - Cheers (The Secret World of Alex Mack ~ S3E25)

This is the non-Disney Channel show I was talking about in my intro! ๐Ÿ’™ I've added this episode because this is the episode that sparked this whole cheerleading post idea! ๐Ÿ‘ I've recently just started watching this series from the beginning for the first time and am almost done with season two! ๐Ÿ’› This episode is one of the first ones I watched of this series and gave me so many nostalgic vibes even though I had never seen it before! ๐Ÿ’™

PLOT: Alex wants to tryout for her school's cheer squad, but is afraid of what her friends will think of her! ๐Ÿ’› With the support of them, though, and her family... she tries out and makes the team! But, she doesn't just make the team because of her cheer skills! She uses a bit of her powers, as well! ๐Ÿ’™ Will guilt start to sink in and convince Alex to do the right thing and give up her spot on the cheer team? ๐Ÿ“ฃThe "Plant" is still trying to figure out who the kid was that got drenched in the illegal chemical they've been working on! Will Alex's secret be revealed when the disc containing all the information about the chemical is stolen from her bedroom? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

It was hard ranking this episode against Disney Channel series because it definitely has a different vibe, especially because it is from the 90s! ๐Ÿ’› However, when watching it back, it definitely gives off early Disney Channel vibes and reminds me of The Famous Jett Jackson and The Jersey! ๐Ÿ’™ This episode reminded me a lot of the previous episode in the way that it was super relaxing to watch and is just a feel-good episode! ๐Ÿ’› I LOVE the 90s vibes so much! ๐Ÿ’™ There is a good lesson in this episode about doing the right thing and knowing when someone else deserves something you're not as passionate about! ๐Ÿ’› This was originally number two on this list, but the next episode is more comedic and this isn't as much of a stand-alone episode because of the secondary storyline! I still LOVE it, though! ๐Ÿ’™

#2 - Positive Alex (Wizards of Waverly Place ~ S3E10)

I've talked about this episode on my blog before (here) and mentioned how much I LOVED watching it! ๐Ÿ’› This is the episode on this list with the most amount of cheerleading scenes (non-tryout scenes) and I LOVE it! ๐Ÿ’™

PLOT: Alex wants the band director to ask her to the homecoming dance, but he tells her that that won't happen because she's mean! ๐Ÿ˜ So, Alex decides to use a spell to turn herself into a more positive person and it results with her spreading a little too much cheerfulness to where it might lose the school their basketball game! ๐Ÿ€ Justin is waiting for his moment to shine on the basketball court! Will the moment come for him to show his basketball skills? ๐Ÿ’› Max is in charge of filming Justin's basketball journey, but ends up with an entirely different documentary than planned! ๐ŸŽฅ

This episode is filled with cheering, cheering, and more cheering! ๐Ÿ“ฃ This episode ranks so high because of the message Alex learns about not changing who you are for someone else! ๐Ÿ’™ It's a really important message! ๐Ÿ’› The whole family is involved in this episode and let me just say, the parents have become my favorite characters of this series! They are seriously hilarious! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I LOVE the energy in this episode and how there is not one negative thing said about cheerleaders... Well, except that Alex is called a "Boo-leader," which makes me wonder why she even wanted to go out with a guy who called her that! ๐Ÿ˜ For the post I linked where I originally talked about this episode, I included clips that showed the plot of the episode! So, for this post, I'm only going to share ALL the cheers that were in this episode because there were so many and it was funny to watch ALL of them! ๐Ÿ’› So, click the link above if you want to watch the actual plotline! ๐Ÿ’™

#1 - Benchwarmers (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody ~ S3E19)

You should see my face right now... I am shocked that this is my number-one choice! Yes. I, who made this post, is shocked at my own choice! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Originally, I had this as number-four! However, while re-watching it, I was literally laugh-crying! ๐Ÿ˜‚ The reason I'm shocked is because throughout this whole post, I've been sharing how I strongly dislike when characters stereotype cheerleaders... but, this episode is the most controversial when it comes to cheerleading! ๐Ÿ˜ณ But, it had me laughing so hard that I had to put it as number-one! ๐Ÿ’›

PLOT: Many characters tryout for the school's cheer team and don't make it because the head cheerleader is super harsh! ๐Ÿ˜ข So, they decide to form their own squad and a cheer-off ensues to see which team is the best! ๐Ÿ“ฃ Who will win the cheer-off? As the squads go head to head, Zack tries out for the basketball team, but is benched most of the time! Will he have his shining moment and actually play in the game? ๐Ÿ€

This WHOLE episode is just hilarious and even though there are some negative comments said in the beginning about cheerleaders, mainly by Cody, he seems to learn a good lesson about cheerleading and even gives a heartfelt speech at the end of the episode! ๐Ÿ’— Overall, you just have to watch for yourselves to see just how funny this episode actually is! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’›

Okay, the fact that they had an actual dummy as their flyer almost made me spit-out my water! ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ

Now, the fun hasn't stopped just yet! ๐Ÿ’— That's right! It's time for another surprise! ๐ŸŽ‰

Not trying to sound superficial or anything, but we ALL know that one of the best things about cheerleading is the uniforms! ๐Ÿ’— So, I figured, why not rank the uniforms that were in these CHEER-TASTIC episodes? ๐ŸŽ€

What's interesting is how either the color blue, yellow, or even both are in ALL of these uniforms except for only one! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

(Eighteen - I Didn't Do It)

(Seventeen - Austin & Ally)

(Sixteen - The Famous Jett Jackson)

(Fifteen - Good Luck Charlie)

(Fourteen - Shake It Up)

(Thirteen - Dog with a Blog)

(Twelve - The Suite Life of Zack & Cody)

(Eleven - The Suite Life of Zack & Cody)

(Ten - A.N.T. Farm)

(Nine - Girl Meets World)

(Eight - Even Stevens)

(Seven - Lizzie McGuire)

(Six - The Jersey)

(Five - The Secret World of Alex Mack)

(Four - Hannah Montana)

(Three - Wizards of Waverly Place)

(Two - Phil of the Future)

(One - The Suite Life of Zack & Cody)

Which uniform is your favorite? Do you like the old-school sweater vibes? I do! ๐Ÿ’™ But, I also love SPARKLES (said in London's voice) and that's why her uniform is number-one! Oh, and green is my favorite color, so that's why too! ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ“ฃ

Wow! We've been through so many cheers together and I can't believe it has come to an end! ๐Ÿ’—

I hope you all have had a CHEER-TASTIC time reading this post! ๐Ÿ’— Which cheer episode is your favorite? Do we have the same number-one choice? ๐Ÿ“ฃ

I LOVE doing themed posts and have had so much fun getting to think back to all of the good times I had cheerleading! ๐ŸŽ€

Even if I still have some awkward memories of my time on the HS cheer squad, I'm glad I can celebrate all the good memories I made, as well! ๐Ÿ’—

That's what this blog is ALL about... CELEBRATING! ๐ŸŽ‰

So, until next time...

Don't forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making! ๐Ÿ’—
