🍁 HAPPY THANKGIVING 2022 ~ Celebrate Good Times 🦃🍂

Let's celebrate this week by celebrating THANKSGIVING! AHHH!!! 🧡🎉🧡

I wanted to create a quick and simple post for the holiday season because I most likely won't be posting again until the New Year! 😲 I know. I know. That's CRAZY! 💛 But, December is going to be a busy month and any free time I have I just want to spend it with my family! 💓

So, today is ALL about wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving and hoping you have a WONDERFUL Christmas season! 🦃🍁🎄

If you read my Monstober post (here), then you know that there is ONE performance/song that reminds me of Thanksgiving any time I hear it! 🍁🍂🍁

I shared the music video for that song in that post, but now it's time to share the ICONIC Thanksgiving Day parade performance that I LOVED as a kid and still watch EVERY year! 🧡💓

Not only is that performance ICONIC, but so is the Build-A-Bear float! 💓🐻 My sister Ariel literally had that bunny when she was a kid... in a smaller form, of course! 😂🤎 If I was in the parade that would be the float I would choose to be on! 🧡🐇

Sadly, Disney Channel didn't have many Thanksgiving episodes! 😢 But, turn that frown upside down 😀 because they did have some FUN commercials for Thanksgiving! 🦃🤎

I wish there was a way to watch the pop-up editions of those movies! 💓 That last commercial was SUPER festive and I LOVED the aesthetic! 🍂

Thanksgiving is ALL about coming together with the people you LOVE and sharing ALL the things you're thankful for every day! 💓 I have a VERY small, but VERY close-knit family that I could NEVER live without and that's what I'm thankful for every day, especially when I get to sit with them on Thanksgiving and eat a DELICIOUS home-cooked meal together! 🧡🍲

Here are some Disney Channel stars during 2014 sharing some of their FAVORITE Thanksgiving dishes and desserts! 💓🍪🤎

What food will be on your Thanksgiving plate this year? 🌽🍞 I ALWAYS eat the same TWO things EVERY year! 🧡 I am not a turkey eater! 😲 Basically, I split my plate in half! 🍴 One side has the most delicious homemade dressing (chicken dressing) on it and the other side has the yummiest homemade green bean casserole on it! 💓🧅 Those are the only TWO dishes I eat during Thanksgiving and Christmas and I wouldn't have it any other way! 🤎💚

I am grateful for the food on my plate EVERY Thanksgiving and am thankful for the family I have around me to share it with! 💓

When I was a kid, we used to NEVER have Thanksgiving at our house except for one special year, which is one of my ALL-TIME favorite Thanksgiving memories! 🧡 However, we've had it at our house EVERY year since 2012 and I LOVE how our little family has made the holiday our own with SO many festive feels! 💓

Before we wrap-up this FESTIVE post, there's ONE more thing I want to share! 💓

The inspiration for this blog and it's name is ALL thanks to one song... Celebration from Kool & The Gang! 🧡🍂 I can still remember when this song randomly popped into my mind and struck a light-bulb for what the backbone of this blog would be... CELEBRATING! 💓 Celebrating memories that come with nostalgic moves, music, TV series, and SO much more! 🧡

What's CRAZY is that the song came out in 1980, but the group didn't perform it at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade until 1999... the year I was born! 🤯💛

During my VERY first Thanksgiving, Kool & The Gang performed this song at the parade that was most likely playing on our TV in 1999! 😲 Now, two decades later, I have a blog that was inspired by that VERY song! 💓

I figured the PERFECT way to end this post would be with the song that is the backbone of this blog! 🧡 So, as I get ready to CELEBRATE my 23rd Thanksgiving, here is the performance that played during my FIRST Thanksgiving! 💓🍁
