🎶 Ranking Every Song From The Wizards Of Waverly Place Album ~ Wiztober 2022 🔮✨

Let's celebrate this week by flashing back to 2008 and 2009 when the Wizards of Waverly Place cast hosted WIZTOBER!🎉🎇

We're not only going to be flashing back, but we're also going to bring our own WIZTOBER fun into this post by ranking ALL the songs from the MAGICAL Wizards of Waverly Place album that was released in 2009! 🎶💜

First off, though, we have to flashback to see what WIZTOBER was ALL about! 🔮🎆

During the first year of WIZTOBER, season two of WOWP was airing and some of my all-time FAVORITE episodes aired... DEAN episodes!!! 🎉💜👏 It also had A LOT of FUN promos of the WOWP cast chatting in-between movies/episodes! The second/last year of WIZTOBER is when season three starting airing! 💜 It didn't have as many FUN in-between promos and instead, used some from the year prior! 🎥

Now that you've seen what WIZTOBER was all about, are you ready to bring 2008 and 2009 into 2022 with a MAGICAL album ranking?!? 🎶 You are ready? WIZ-MAZING! 💜

#12 - Magic (Honor Society)

This wasn't originally last on this list because I actually really like the beat of this song! 🎸 It's the lyrics that are the problem... 😬 There is a point in the pre-chorus when the lead singer keeps singing "I got a hold on you," which is weird because those lyrics don't match with the rest of the lyrics! 😕 It's a catchy beat, but I don't get the lyrics! 🎶

There are only THREE songs on this album that have music videos! 🎥 Since this isn't a music video ranking, I've created some MAGICAL audio visualizer videos that match the vibe of each song! 🎵🔮

This next song references a movie with one of my ALL-TIME favorite Disney songs! 🎶 There was a special showing of the movie during WIZTOBER... can you guess which Disney movie it is? 💜

#11 - Magic Carpet Ride (KSM)

I feel like this song has been on a DCOM before, but I can't figure out which one! 🤔 This is another song with a catchy tune, but the lyrics get a bit repetitive! 🎶 I like how this references Aladdin, though, because one of my FAVORITE Disney princess songs is A Whole New World! ✨💜

During WIZTOBER, they had a sing-along week and one of the ROCKIN' movies they played starred the singer of this next song... 🎶 Can you guess who? 🎤

#10 - Magic (Meaghan Martin)

If you know me, then you know I LOVE 80's music! 🎶 Well, this song is a cover of Olivia Newton-John's single that was originally released in 1980! 💜 It's actually a really GREAT cover and Meaghan hits that original mysterious vibe of the song perfectly! 👏 This song can get pretty repetitive, but there is something about it that makes you want to play it over and over again! 🎵 It's only low on this list because this album has SO many amazing songs that some of them naturally had to be placed low! 💜 It's a GREAT cover, though, and one I'd listen to even more than the original! 😲

Up next is another singer who was the star of a movie that premiered during WIZTOBER'S sing-along week, but this singer had someone else's face in the movie.... 😲 Can you guess who? 🎶

#9 - You Can Do Magic (Drew Seeley)

It wouldn't be a Disney Channel soundtrack without a Drew Seeley song! 👌 This song has such a mellow blues/jazz vibe that I LOVE! 🎶💜 Drew's vocals are shown off A LOT in this song! He was the PERFECT choice for this song! 👏 This is a song to have playing when you're just chilling and will have you moving your head softly to the beat! 🎶 It also mentions rain in this song and I LOVE when songs mention rain because it sets a mood to the song and I LOVE rainy days! ☔💜

During WIZTOBER, their catch line was the title of the next song! 🎶 Any guesses as to what song is next? 💜

#8 - Everything Is Not As It Seems (Selena Gomez)

Okay... I'm VERY confused! 😳 The title of this song is "Everything Is Not As It Seems," but that is NEVER sang in the song! 😲 She sings, "Everything Is Not What It Seems." 🎶 It's not a big deal, but I got really confused when I saw the title and thought I've been singing it wrong this WHOLE time! 😕 But, nope! The title is wrong. ✋

So, there is some explaining I have to do with this song that doesn't have to do with the title! 👀 So, basically, a while back this song was trending because people had found a FULL version of the song that no one ever knew existed! 😲 The version on this album is the fifty-second version that plays during the series theme song! 📺

The full version is definitely the one they shortened when they changed up the theme song for season four of WOWP! 🎵 So, my question is... Did they always have a full version of the song or did they decide to make a a full one when they had Selena remake it for the last season? 🤔

No matter the answer, I'm glad the full version surfaced on the internet! 💜 When creating this post, I knew the full version was not on this album, but I didn't know how to rank a fifty-second song against ALL the other full songs! 🎶 So, I decided to pretend the full version was on this album and ranked it that way! 😳

The full version is A LOT more fun to listen to because it's longer and has a FUN "rap" at the end that is my FAVORITE part! 💜 I'll show you both versions to let you decide for yourself which version you like better! 🎶 I do like the upbeat sound more in the original version, but it's so short! 😢

This next artist was a main character on one of Disney Channel's hit TV series! 📺 His character got his very own Sunday marathon during WIZTOBER! 😲 Any guesses? 💜

#7 - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic (Mitchel Musso)

This is another 80's cover! Woohoo! 🎉🎶 This song was originally by The Police and was released in 1981! 💜 It's the total opposite of Meaghan's cover in the fact that her cover resembled the original one to a T, but Mitchel's is far from the original! 🎶 That doesn't mean it's bad, though! His version actually sounds more 80's than the original! 😂 I do LOVE the original more because it's SO different than the other 80's music I listen to! 💜

Mitchel's, though, adds that 80's rock flare to it that is FUN to listen to, as well! 💜 My FAVORITE part in BOTH versions is the end when they sing, "Ay Oh Oh Ay Oh Oh," you know I LOVE la's and oh's! 💜🎶 

This next song is ALL about magic, friendship, and family! 💜🔮 It sort of reminds me of  two movies with twin witches... ✨💜

#6 - Some Call It Magic (Raven Symone)

This is a song that makes me feel A LOT of nostalgia because I remember listening to it when it would come on between commercial breaks on Disney Channel! 🎶 I LOVE how this song puts an emphasis on how important family and friendship is! 💜 It's an upbeat song that makes me feel happy when I listen to it! 😊 It's funny and unique how they had her talk during the end of the song! 😂👌 This song is VERY nostalgic and makes me feel like I've entered that era of Disney Channel that us early 2000s kids won't ever forget! 💜🔮

This next song goes along with the theme of strange magic that is a running theme throughout the movies in these next promos... 😉✨

#5 - Strange Magic (Steve Rushton)

Honestly, this artist's name doesn't ring any bells (where did that saying come from?😂) but, this song is SO good! 💜 The beat is SUPER unique because it has some string instruments thrown in there that create this mood during certain parts of the song that are pretty cool! 🎻👏 I'm not one-hundred percent sure what he's singing about in this song, but I like it! 😂 The overall vibe of the song is just fun to listen to and I like the different instruments they incorporated into this song! 💜🎶

#4 - Magical (Selena Gomez)

This song gives me SO many early 2000s Avril Lavigne vibes! 🎶 These top four songs are honestly SO flippin' AMAZING! 💜 I LOVE this song and think it's one of Selena's BEST songs from her early singing days! 🎤 It gives off those teenage angsty vibes that make for GREAT hits! 😂 I can't believe I didn't remember this song when I first started working on this post because it's seriously really GOOD! 💜 

#3 - Disappear (Selena Gomez)

This is another song that I can't believe I didn't remember before doing this post! 😲 It's SOOOO good and one of my FAVORITE Selena Gomez songs! 🎶 When I listened to it this time around, I was NOT expecting that electric guitar break! It was incredible! 🎸💜 This song is SO much fun to listen to and I'm SO happy they incorporated the electric guitar because it adds the PERFECT touch to the song! The song wouldn't be the same without it! 👏🎶

When creating this post, I thought I'd create lyric videos for each song instead of audio visualizers! 😳 Well, I created one for this song first and had SO much fun doing it, but it took a LONG time! ⌛ So, this song is not only special because it's SO good, but it also gets it's own lyric video for this post! 💜

#2 - Do You Believe In Magic (Aly & AJ)

These top two songs are SOOO close to each other in this ranking... SOOO close that in my previous post (here) I ranked this one as number-one and the number-one in this post as number-two in my previous one! 😲 They're SOOO close that they switch places ALL the time because they are BOTH so flippin' AMAZING and are like an inch apart from each other! 💜💙💜💙

This one and the next are songs that can make me cry and have legit tears coming out of my eyes! 💧 I LOVE them SO much and they bring me SO much nostalgia and make memories flash in my mind every time they begin to play! 💜🎶

This Aly and AJ cover was originally sung by The Lovin' Spoonful and was originally released in 1965! 😲 It's a classic for sure! 💜 Their cover is SO good that I LOVE it even more than the original... but, let's not forget that the original did play during my ALL-TIME favorite movie, The Parent Trap (1998)! 💙🎶💜 They're BOTH amazing songs and each version is unique in it's own way! 🎵 

I don't think this next song is much of a surprise, but it was the title song for a very MAGICAL DCOM... 💜✨

#1 - Magic (Selena Gomez)

I remember sitting on my couch at my old house and seeing this song/music video come onto the TV screen and not taking my eyes and ears away from that screen! 🎶💜 Anytime I hear it now, it reminds me of my younger self sitting on that couch and being young enough to think everything in life was truly magic! 🔮✨ This song brings A LOT of emotions to the surface, but I LOVE every.single.one.of.them because they're my childhood emotions that are still buried deep in me and I get to feel them again when songs like this one are played! 🎶 

So, let's ALL play this song and feel one last bit of MAGIC tonight... ✨💜
