Let's celebrate this week by celebrating this blog's ONE YEAR anniversary! Ahhhhh!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Last year... on this very day... the 27th of September... this blog was started! 🎉 Man, what a year it's been! 💓 And to think it ALL started as a fan page for the song "Celebration" by Kool & The Gang! Ha! I'm kidding! It's an inside joke for those of you who read my FIRST ever blog post (here)! 😂

But, that song did inspire the name of this blog! 🎵🎉

In my first post, I wrote this... 

"Celebrate Good Times isn’t just about nostalgic Disney, but everything in between as well! So, c’mon, stick around and celebrate the good times that come with re-experiencing all these movies, tv shows, and songs from the past!"

On September 28th...

On October 3rd...

I shared my FIRST ever themed episodes post, which were "School Dance" episodes! 💃

Before I came up with the concept I have now for my themed episodes posts, I used to try to watch ALL the episodes of a specific theme and choose my FAVORITE ten out of ALL of them! 😳 What a HUGE task I put on myself! 😂

My FAVORITE school dance episode was "Right Dance, Wrong Partner" from season one of Blue Water High! 💓 It was number-one ALL because of the "getting ready" montage and one year later, I still agree because it's a super cute scene and gives me ALL the vibes! 💓

On October 5th...

The post was my top ten Monstober costumes from Disney Channel series! 🎃

My FAVORITE costume last year was Luna's "Day of the Dead" look from Soy Luna! 💓

I shared the clip of the Soy Luna cast singing along to "Tu Carcel" where you get to see the other festive looks of ALL the other characters! 💜

On October 16th...

I ranked ALL the songs from Girl vs. Monster! 👻

My FAVORITE song was Fearless, but I'm sure that's no surprise! 🎵

On October 18th...

I shared FIVE Disney Channel Original Movies that gave me ALL the fall feels! 🍂

Instead of ranking them from least to most favorite, I ranked them from least "fallish" vibes to overflowing with fall vibes! 🧡🍁

The one that gave me the MOST fall vibes was Going To The Mat! 💓🍂

I gushed about how much I was LOVING the movie because at that point in time I hadn't finished watching it, yet! 📺 

I did finish watching it after that post and man, it was SO flippin' AMAZING! 💓

I shared one of my FAVORITE clips from the movie and it's still one of my ALL-TIME favorite DCOM scenes EVER! 🍂🧡

On October 23rd...

I came up with an original idea to take candy you would find in your trick-or-treat bag and pair them with DCOMs! 🍬🍫

For example...

I chose my sister Ariel's FAVORITE candy, which is Twizzlers and created a prompt that said...

"A DCOM with a lot of twists and turns" 🍬

Going by the prompt, I paired Twizzlers with the movie "Don't Look Under The Bed" because that movie had SO many twists and turns that I didn't know what I was watching half the time! 😂

The idea sounds perfectly logical, right? 👌 

On October 26th...

I shared ten Shake It Up dance costumes that I would have worn that October! 👻

I cheated and put two different costumes in the same number-one spot, but they were both baseball themed! ⚾💓

I would choose a different dance costume now for my number-one choice, but these are still cute! 💓

Should I do this post again and see if my choices have changed a year later? 💃

On October 31st... 

I posted my last Monstober post and ranked ALL of the Spooktacular movies I had watched that month! 👻📺

I stayed up WAY past midnight on Chilloween (what I call October 31st) and worked on that post all night long! 🌒

I remember my top two choices being SO CLOSE because I LOVED them both so much! 💓

But... I did end up choosing one and it won purely because it held the MOST nostalgia! 📺

My top two choices came out the same year, which is the year I was born! 😲 What can I say? 1999 was where it was at! 🎉💓

October was a busy month! It was the month that I posted the MOST posts! 💓 It's no surprise, though! I was SO excited to kickstart this blog and had SO many ideas and I LOVE the fall time SO much that it's no wonder why I posted SO much last October! 🎃🧡

On November 2nd...

I posted my FIRST official Soy Luna post, which was SO exciting! 🎉 

I ranked ALL the Luna, Simon, Ambar, and Matteo duo-skating routines from the first season! 🌙

I actually posted that post on The Day of The Dead and I totally forgot about that until looking back just now! 💓

My number-one duo-skating routine was Luna and Matteo's routine to the song "Alas". 💓 It's still my absolute FAVORITE! 🍓🌙

On November 6th...

I ranked the FIRST songs featured in iconic Disney Channel musicals! 💓

The High School Musical franchise dominated that post and each movie placed in the top three! 😲 

The third movie took third place! 🏀 The second movie took second place! 🕓

And...

The Start of Something New took FIRST place! 🎤

It's CRAZY how I went into a HSM phase when I wrote that post because I'm not sure if the franchise would place in the top three places now, but that's why I LOVE reminiscing on the past year because I went through different phases with TV series, music, movies, and even fashion! 💓

The Start of Something New, though, is a GREAT first song because it's literally starting something new! 📺

On November 13th...

Because I ranked the FIRST musical numbers, I HAD to rank the LAST songs featured in Disney Channel musicals! 🎶

The High School Musical franchise might not have taken the top three places in that post, but it did take the top two! 😲

I was definitely in a HSM phase last November! 💓

But...

The FIRST song in the first HSM movie has nothing on the LAST song! 🎵

We're All In This Together was my number-one choice in the ranking I posted on October 3rd and it was my FAVORITE last song in a DCOM, as well! It is still my FAVORITE song from the first HSM movie! 💓

One day later...

On November 14th...

I ranked the NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN songs from Disney Channel Musicals! 💓

I remember being SO shocked that there were deleted songs from DCOM musicals that I had NEVER seen! 😲

Except for maybe two of them, I think EVERY song should have been in the movies! 🎥

My FAVORITE deleted song was "Our Time Is Here" from Camp Rock! 🎸

This song is SO flippin' good and is still my number-one FAVORITE deleted song! 💓

On November 19th...

I ranked the music videos that went with the Tinker Bell movies! 🧚

It was a VERY emotional post and still is! 😢

My number-one choice brings me SO much nostalgia that it's bittersweet watching it! 💓

My FAVORITE Tinker Bell music video and song was/is "Fly To Your Heart" by Selena Gomez that was released for the FIRST ever Tinker Bell movie! 💚🧚

After that post, I took a break for a bit to enjoy Thanksgiving and to get into the festive Christmas spirit! 🎄💓

On December 6th...

I posted my FIRST Christmas season post that had nothing to do with Christmas! 😂

I guess I figured December was as good a time as any to rank Disney Channel theme songs! 😂

I shared my top fourteen favorite DC theme songs and of course, Hannah Montana won for my top choice! 💓

I might not like the series as much as I did as a kid, but the songs are still total bops, including the theme song! 🎶

For that post, I shared an edit of what the theme would have been like with the Hannah Montana song they were originally going to use for the theme song! 🎵

I still think with a little scene tweaking that "The Other Side of Me" could have been a GREAT theme song! 💓

On December 16th...

I posted my FIRST ever Christmas post! 🎅

I ranked my top ten Disney Parks events Christmas performances! 🎄💓

This is where my Jo Bros FIRST EVER obsession began! 😂

As a kid, I had never been much of a Jonas Brothers fan! But, last Christmas, I became the BIGGEST fan of their Christmas song "Joyful Kings". 💚💓💚

That song won FIRST place in my FIRST Christmas post! 🎄💓

On December 23rd...

The Christmas fun didn't stop because I decided to do a part two post with MORE Disney Parks Christmas performances! 🎉💚

I didn't share just ten in that post, but NINETEEN! 💓🎤

My FAVORITE in that post was Jordan Fisher's version of "The Christmas Song," which is one of my ALL-TIME favorite classic Christmas songs! ♫💓

I posted a different post than usual and shared some thoughts I was having about the Christmas season! 💚💓

I remember the words just flowing so easily when writing that post because I wanted anyone reading it to know that it's okay to feel bittersweet emotions during Christmas because sometimes it isn't the happiest time of the year! But, there is still Christmas magic out there if we look for it and I found some for myself last year again and felt more childlike than ever before! 🎄💓

I ended it with wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! 💓🎄

On December 26th...

I shared some things that had made me happy that Christmas season! 😃🎄

Honestly, it's one of my FAVORITE posts to this day because it's like a little memory book of last Christmas! 🎄💓

That Sunday was StarStruck Sunday! ⭐💛

In 2010, on Valentine's Day on a Sunday, the DCOM StarStruck premiered! 📺

It's one of my all-time FAVORITE DCOMs and I got to rank the songs and share behind-the-scenes footage! 💙🎥

It was shocking because I thought going into that post that "Hero - Unplugged" was my FAVORITE version of the song... but nope!

My number-one song choice in that post was the studio version of "Hero". 🎶💙

An AMAZING thing happened during editing that post! I found a video of Sterling Knight singing "Hero" live because if you didn't know, he isn't the original singer of the song! 😲 But, there is a tiny clip out there that I found where after YEARS of wondering what it would have been like if he actually sang the song, I found him singing it! 🎉💛 

Credit to Drew Ryan Scott, though, for singing the AMAZING original version! 👏

On February 7th...

I posted one of my HARDEST worked-on posts EVER! 💓

I was SO flippin' excited to post that post and it's one of my FAVORITE posts I've posted! 🎉

Basically, that post was FILLED with Disney Channel Valentine's Day content that I split up into different categories that I called "Breaks". 💓💕

There was the I Love Lizzie marathon break, Suite-Hearts Day break, Love It Up dance break, A&A music break, Express Yourself break, and extra fun! 🎉

Seriously, this might be my FAVORITE post I've ever edited and posted! 💓

I worked so hard on EVERY video in that post, especially the FIRST ever "ship collage" video I've EVER made! 💓

That post was SO much fun! 💓

On February 21st...

I ranked FOURTEEN love song music videos from Disney Channel stars! 💓🎥

This is another one of my FAVORITE posts because these music videos are ICONIC! 💓

It also has one of my FAVORITE main GIFs I've made! 💞

Just seeing the GIF makes me feel ALL the feels I felt when editing that post! I LOVE it! 💓

My number-one love song music video in that post was "Replay" by Zendaya because of the choreography and R&B vibe of the song! 👏💗

I couldn't get enough of Disney Channel love songs! 💓 So...

On February 28th...

I ranked FOURTEEN love songs from Disney Channel series! 

These love songs GIFs just give me ALL the feels! February turned out to be a GREAT month! 💓

My number-one Disney Channel series love song was...

Even though it wasn't February anymore, I still couldn't get enough of love songs and decided to share FOURTEEN more Disney Channel love songs! 💓🎤

What I LOVE about the love song posts I did is that it's the FIRST time I really got to share songs from the international series that I LOVE! 💓

International series have a special place in my heart, especially Alex & Co.! 💓

Alex & Co. stole the show and was my number-one choice with the song "All The While," which is the sweetest little song! 🎶

That post also has a special edit I made for another Alex & Co. song that I was SO proud of creating that I think I watched it a hundred times! 😂

It's so funny because I had no idea that I was SO obsessed with love songs because get this...

On March 13th...

I ranked MORE love songs! 😂

This time from Disney Channel movies! 💓

I don't even have to look at that post again to know which song I ranked as number-one! 💓

"Can I Have This Dance" will always have a special place in my heart! 💟

Posts like my Trick-or-Treat Bag post and Valentine's Day post are special to me because of how much creativity I felt when creating those posts! 💗 This next one felt just like those other two posts and is one of my FAVORITE posts I've done! 💕

On March 20th...

I decided to increase my knowledge of flowers and created my own Disney Channel bouquet! 🌸🌷

I spent DAYS researching flowers and their different meanings and turned those meanings into prompts like I did in my Trick-or-Treat Bag post! 💓🌹

An example of how that post went...

I shared a picture of a white Orchid and shared how it symbolizes faith! 🤍

Then, I shared a clip of a Disney Channel series, movie, or song that matched with that flower's meaning! 🌼

For the white Orchid... 

I paired it with a scene from "Hannah Montana: The Movie" of Miley singing The Climb! 💓

On March 27th...

I got into a rut... 😕

The post was supposed to be a ranking of Rocky's floral fits from Shake It Up, but I was having SO much trouble ranking them that it turned more into a "lookbook" instead! 💓

I still tried to rank them in the post, but I got SO stressed for some reason and I'm not even sure if my ranking makes sense to me! 😂

I think it's because there were FOURTY-EIGHT outfits and I got stressed having to type something about each outfit because it's hard to come up with things to say about similar outfits sometimes! 😢

So, instead, I just did a bullet-point list of things I liked/disliked about each outfit! 👌 I think that is the last "lookbook" post where I tried to rank SO many outfits and it's the post where I decided to take a different approach to fashion posts because I was THAT stressed out! 😂

I still had FUN sharing ALL the outfits, though! And, now that the work is done, I can look back at that post and just have FUN seeing all the outfits! 👍🌸

My number-one choice in that post was...

I do LOVE that outfit, but I would probably choose a different favorite now! 💗🌺

That post put me such in a rut that my next post after that was...

On April 4th...

Where I posted a post titled, "Celebrate Good Times ~ Sharing Some Honesty". 💓

I had basically taken a "break" from that last post to this next one and thought I was actually going to stop making posts altogether! 😲

But, in my April 4th post, I got ALL my feelings out and realized that I LOVED creating posts and I didn't want to stop! 🎉🙌

I just had to take the pressure off myself and realize what this blog was/is ALL about! 💓

It's not about perfection. It's about celebrating good times! 🎉💓 Finding the moments, no matter how small, and celebrating them! 💞 It's also about balance and I'm happy to let my past-self who was looking for balance in April know that she has found it when it comes to this blog! Balancing life in general is a whole other topic... 😂

On April 9th...

I shared another lookbook post, but this time with a new and improved format! 👌💓

I shared more FLORAL looks, but this time from Disney Channel movies! 💗🌸

I took the stress away from ranking outfits and decided to put the FLORAL looks into their own movie categories and choose my FAVORITE look from each movie! 💓 Then, I shared my overall top three looks! 🌻💛

The Celebrate Good Times Prom officially began! 🎉⭐

My top choice for the TV series was SO different from my movie pick! 💕 My dress choice for the movies was a subtle blue and very classy and elegant! 💙 My dress choice for the TV series is super bright and festive! 💃

In April, I started my summer series early and binged Blue Water High! 💙🌊

Instead of sharing my overall top ten episodes from the WHOLE series in one post, I decided to choose ten episodes from each season and rank them in separate posts! 💙

Would I ever do that again? Probably not. 😂 

I think it's fun to do TEN overall episodes of a series because it makes it easier to do the same post again a year later (or longer) and see if you would choose a different ten! 💓

I did have fun, though, talking about each season of Blue Water High individually because each season is so different from each other because they changed the main cast each season! 🏄

On April 22nd...

I shared my top ten episodes from season one of Blue Water High! 💙

Season one was/is my FAVORITE season from the series! 💙🌊

My FAVORITE episode was the LAST episode of the season! 💓

The LAST scene is SO emotional! 😢💓

At the beginning of May, I took a break between the first season of BWH and the second and decided to post something I was so HYPED to finally post about! 💓

On May 6th...

I ranked EVERY song from Alex & Co.!!! 🎉🎶💛

Alex & Co. was the FIRST international series I had EVER seen and I waited FOREVER for it to come to Disney+ so that I could finally watch it with English subtitles! 📺

Well...

In April, it FINALLY came to Disney+ and I binged the WHOLE thing and couldn't wait to rank the AMAZING songs! 💓

I made lyric posters for EVERY song and shared ALL the amazing scenes featuring the songs! 🎶

My number-one choice was "Welcome To Your Show," because it has a special meaning to me and it's amazing! 💜💙

On May 14th...

I shared the MOST lunarious post major!! 🌠⭐

I ranked EVERY Zenon Kar outfit from the movie trilogy! ✨💛

Ahhhh! Cetus-lupeedus, I LOVED creating that post SO much! 💙💛💙💛

Turns out I disliked almost EVERY character in season two! 😂

Episode Six was my FAVORITE season two episode! 🏄💙

On May 29th...

I shared my top ten Disney princess movie songs and let me tell you...

I'm listening to one of the songs on that list right now and I feel ALL the feels! 😊💓

I'm definitely shocked at some of my choices and I can't wait to redo my list next year because I think I would rearrange some of my choices, but..

On June 4th...

I finished up my BWH posts with the LAST season's top ten episode choices! 💙🌊

I enjoyed this season SO much more than season two! 💓

On June 12th...

Wow! How do you wrap-up your FIRST anniversary blog post? 😢

This blog has meant so much to me this past year! 💓 During the rough moments throughout this year, LORD knows there've been A LOT, this blog was there for me to just have FUN and forget about life for a while! 💓

Sure, it has it's stressful moments, but only because I care SO much about my posts and want them to be the BEST they can be! 💓 Doing this blog has allowed me to use my creativity in a whole new way and the BEST part is that I truly enjoy editing SO much and I get to do it for EVERY post! 💻

It's LONG hours and takes up A LOT of time, but getting to walk down memory lane in this post has allowed me to see that ALL of those days and hours were worth it! 💓 I see a post from the past year and can remember exactly what was going on in my life when I posted it! 

So, these posts aren't just about sharing my thoughts on TV series, movies, songs, fashion, and anything else I throw in! 😂 They're a stamp in time for me to look back on and remember what was going on behind the screen when creating them! 💓

Nostalgia is something I will NEVER get tired of feeling! 💓 A lot of our emotions are connected to songs or movies or TV series, like when we hear a certain song and get hit with a wave of memories as if you can pinpoint the exact moment in time when you first heard that song... it's CRAZY! 💓

This blog allowed me to experience that CRAZINESS again and again and I couldn't be more excited to continue to feel all of the nostalgia this blog allows me to feel! 💓

Even if no one ever reads this blog and ALL the posts I've worked SO hard on, I know that this blog is for myself! 💓 It's my little piece of happiness in the world and I can't wait to continue holding onto it for another year! 💓

I want to thank my sister, Alyssa, for ALL the work she puts into her blog (Back to Disney), which inspires me to keep working on my own posts! 💓 I LOVE that we get to rant to each other about the posts we're working on and how stressed we are, but we keep doing it to ourselves week after week because we're obsessed with our blogs! 😂

I want to thank my dad for not having anything really to do with this blog because he doesn't watch Disney Channel 😂 but, if he didn't raise me, then I would probably be lost in some town trying to figure out how to make a grilled cheese! 💓

Lastly, I want to thank myself. I've worked REALLY hard on this blog this past year and I'm proud of ALL the posts that I've created! 💓 Good job ME! 👏 #selflove

NEVER last and NEVER least, I want to thank God for keeping me alive because if not, these posts wouldn't exist! Seriously, this life can be hard, but I'm thankful for every breath I take! 💓🙌

During my THIRD blog post, I randomly typed in the outro to "celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making" and didn't know that would become the backbone of this blog! 💓 Since then, every.single.post has ended with that very quote and has become my own mantra in a way! 💓

I LOVE how this blog has become something to remind me to celebrate the good times! No matter how small of a moment, it's worth celebrating! 🎉💓
