SPRINGTIME IS OFFICIALY HERE!! WOOHOO!! π»πΉπΌ
Let's celebrate this week and specifically this 20th day of March because today is the first day of Spring! YAY! πΈπ
If you go way way way back all the way to my posts from October 2021, then you'll find where I shared different candies you'd find in your trick-or-treat bag and matched those candies with different Disney Channel scenes from DCOMS! π I called it... My Disney DCOM Trick Or Treat Bag. π«
I had so much fun creating that post that a lightbulb clicked in my head this past week to create a Springtime version of that post! π‘π»
However, this post has even more fun because there aren't just scenes from DCOMS! There are also scenes from Disney Channel series and Disney princess movies! ππΉ
I picked out each scene based off of how well they matched the meanings of various flowers! πΈππ·
I can't wait for all of the floral fun to begin! Oh, and because the first day of Spring is on the 20th, you'll find TWENTY amazing flowers featured in today's post! π·πΈ
Are you just as excited as I am? I knew you would be! πΈ Let's go! πΊ
P.S. I had a blast looking up all of the meanings of these flowers and can I just say... God is the most AMAZING artist of ALL TIME! πΈππΉ
πΈπ· πΈπ· πΈπ· πΈ
πΈ Flower #1 - Tulip (Purple)
Meaning: A purple Tulip symbolizes royalty.
I chose to share some scenes from the DCOM Princess Protection Program because one of the main characters is a princess and it shares the message that inside every girl is a princess! πΊ
π· Flower #2 - Acanthus
Meaning: An Acanthus symbolizes art. I chose to share some scenes from the episode "Art Museum Piece" from Wizards of Waverly Place because this episode is filled with conversations about classic paintings! πΊ
πΈ Flower #3 - Carnation (Pink)
Meaning: A pink Carnation symbolizes motherly love.
I chose to share scenes from the episode "My Bitter Sweet 16 It Up" from Shake It Up because this episode has a lot of mother/daughter moments and a good message about appreciating all the things your parent/s do for you! πΊ
π· Flower #4 - Sunflower
Meaning: A Sunflower symbolizes loyalty. I chose to share all the moments that Miley Stewart revealed she was Hannah Montana because she trusted the people she shared her secret with to be loyal and keep it a secret, which they all did! πΊ
πΈ Flower #5 - Ambrosia
Meaning: An Ambrosia symbolizes love being reciprocated. I chose to share these next scenes for many reasons! πΈ First off, my FAVORITE WOWP ship is Alex and Dean! π Secondly, these next scenes match perfectly with the meaning of this flower because throughout the episode Alex feels that Dean doesn't put a lot of effort into their relationship! But, you'll see when you watch if her love is reciprocated and if Dean does care about their relationship after all! πΊ
π· Flower #6 - Alcea Rosea
Meaning: An Alcea Rosea symbolizes nostalgia. I chose a song for this flower and it lives up to the word NOSTALGIA one-hundred percent! πΊ
πΈ Flower #7 - Diphylleia
Before I get into the meaning of this flower, I have to mention how cool it is that this flower turns translucent when it rains! Crazy, right?!? πMeaning: A Diphylleia symbolizes showing your true self to someone and honesty.
I chose this next scene to share with you because this character reveals a BIG secret about himself! πΊ
π· Flower #8 - Mallow
Meaning: A Mallow symbolizes national and spiritual roots. I chose these next scenes to share with you because this particular DCOM is rich with culture! πΊ
πΈ Flower #9 - Wisteria
Meaning: Wisteria symbolizes obsession and passionate love.
These next scenes I want to share match perfectly with this flower because the word "obsession" is actually used in the first scene! π Let's just say, sometimes this particular character turned their "crushing" into a little bit of an obsession! πΊ
π· Flower #10 - Acacia (White)
Meaning: A white Acacia symbolizes secret love. There are actually two different parts to the scenes that represent the meaning of this beautiful flower! π The "secret love" relationship I chose was Zed and Addison's relationship from Zombies! I chose this particular relationship because it was hidden for a while because it wasn't normal for a human to date a Zombie and vice versa! π I wanted to show the evolution of their characters and their relationship! So, that's why these next scenes are split up into two different parts, plus a bonus scene! πΊ
Part One
Part Two
πΈ Flower #11 - Peony
Meaning: A Peony symbolizes bravery.
If you noticed in the Zeddison scenes, I didn't include any snippet of the song "Stand." That's because that song matches perfectly with this flower because it's the moment when Addison shows her bravery by not caring what other think and revealing her true hair color! π Even when people still "boo" her, she continues to show bravery by embracing her differences! πΊ
π· Flower #12 - Hydrangea
Meaning: A Hydrangea symbolizes our family roots, origin, and past.
This next scene/song is perfect because this particular princess didn't know she was an actual princess and while on a journey she found out her true family origin and how it connected to her past and present! πΊ
This next scene is also for my sister Ariel... Ariel this is solely for you. π
πΈ Flower #13 - Laurestine
Meaning: A Laurestine symbolizes a token.
When I read the word "token", I immediately thought of a necklace! π I don't really know why that word popped into my head, but I think that jewelry is a cute token of love and there are some super cute moments from Disney series and movies that match this meaning perfectly! πΊ
π· Flower #14 - Forget Me Not
Meaning: Forget Me Not's symbolize hope, remembrance, and undying love.
This next scene is one of my FAVORITE scenes from a DCOM and one that will make you super emotional while watching it! You'll quickly see how perfect this scene matches the meaning of this incredible flower! πΊ
πΈ Flower #15 - Mandevilla
Meaning: This flower isn't here for it's meaning...
I actually chose to feature this flower because it was discovered in Argentina! π Argentina is the setting to one of my all-time FAVORITE Disney Channel series, Soy Luna! So, I thought it would be perfect to share some scenes of Soy Luna that were filmed in Argentina to represent this flower that was founded in Argentina! πΊ
The first scene is when Luna first moved from Mexico to Argentina and was skating around to check out the new scenery! π The second scene is a montage of everyone coming back from their vacation in Mexico and returning home to Argentina! πΊ
π· Flower #16 - Coreopsis
Meaning: A Coreopsis symbolizes always being cheerful.
These next scenes I want to share with you are from one of my FAVORITE Wizards of Waverly Place episodes and you'll see what I mean when these scenes scream cheerfulness, emphasis on CHEER! πΊ
Meaning: An Allium symbolizes unity.
This next song is perfect to go along with this flower because it's all about coming together to fight for what's right! π Not only does this song represent unity, but so does the whole movie! πΊ
π· Flower #18 - Rose (White)
Meaning: A white Rose symbolizes innocence and purity.
These next scenes are the perfect representation of a white rose! π It's as if these scenes were created to show the perfect symbolization of this beautiful flower! These are some of the most pure Soy Luna moments and any Simbar shipper would agree! πΊ
πΈ Flower #19 - Orchid (White)
Meaning: A white Orchid symbolizes faith.
This next song is perfect to match this flower's meaning! π Personally, this song has touched my faith and I know it has also touched many others, as well! πΊ
π· Flower #20 - Sweet Pea
Meaning: A Sweet Pea symbolizes gratitude, happiness, and farewells.
I think this is the PERFECT flower to end this fun FLORAL post with because it goes along with one of the most bittersweet movie farewells of all time! πΊ Get your tissues ready...
πΈπ· πΈπ· πΈπ· πΈ
Well, that's a wrap! π¬π
I had so much fun creating this post and I LOVE how I got to post it on the very FIRST day of spring of 2022! πΈ
It might not feel like spring outside where I live, but creating this post sure brought on the spring vibes! π·πΊ
I got to discover so many different things about flowers that I never knew before while creating this post! πΈ I also discovered my new FAVORITE flower! Can you guess which one out of the twenty it is? π· I'll give you a hint... despite it's name, I know I won't be forgetting it anytime soon! π
What is your FAVORITE flower? Even if it wasn't mentioned in this post, I'd love to know! πΊ
I hope you all enjoyed the beginning of this FLORAL FUN and I'll see you in my next post with more FLORAL to go around! πΈπ·πΊπΉ
Until next time...
Don't forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making! π
