π FIVE Disney Channel Original Movies That Will Give You ALL The Fall Feels (Non-Monstober) π§‘
Let’s celebrate this week and season by sharing five incredible
DCOMS that will put you in the fall mood! Who said MONSTOBER movies were the only
ones to watch this fall? Did you know there are other DCOMS that totally show
off the fall vibes?!? You didn’t? Well, here you go! These five DCOMS are sure
to give you ALL the fall feels!
ππ§‘ππ§‘π
(from least "fallish" vibes to overflowing with all the fall vibes)
#5 – Go Figure (2005)
As a kid, I LOVED this movie! It definitely is one of those feel-good movies that makes you want to cuddle underneath layers of blankets, turn on your twinkly lights, and grab some hot chocolate while you watch it! The reason why I listed this as the least “fallish” movie is because I would say this is a movie to watch between November and February. It’s a cold-weather movie for sure! Add in the ice-skating and it’s perfect to watch during the end of fall and the peak of the winter season!
Watch this clip and see what I mean….
See what I mean? It doesn’t scream fall, but it does get you excited for the cold-weather season, which is my favorite part of fall! This is a fun movie that shows that girls can do both, ice-skate and play hockey! Which do you prefer, the ice-skating or hockey scenes? I think we can all agree that it was fun to see both sides! This movie teaches you not to be afraid to show all sides of yourself even if people make fun of things your passionate about. Also, trying new things is important and you might discover a talent you didn’t know you had! ⛸π
#4 – The Cheetah Girls (2003)
THE FIRST DISNEY CHANNEL MUSICAL! Growl power! πΎ This movie is iconic and is perfect to watch this fall! With all of their cheetahlicious fall outfits and the girl-power music, how could you not want to watch this movie this fall?!? At first, the “fallish” vibes in this movie totally went over my head. But, after watching it recently, I realized there are definitely fall feels happening in this movie!
See! Watch these scenes and look at the trees in
the background…
"Where she gettin' them glasses from?" - Aqua (2003)
And look at the leaves on the ground as Chanel and Galleria dance…
Oh, and don't forget the shopping montage!
I really wanted to show you one of my FAVORITE scenes ever from this movie, but I'll have to save it for another time! This movie is filled with attitude, iconic songs, deep moments, and growwwwwwl power!! πΎ A WHOLE vibe! Honestly, this movie reminds me of where I grew up and how the culture was there and I am ALL here for anything that reminds me of my younger sassy days! Cause' girl let me tell you, I had one of the BEST childhoods and I am so thankful for it! Celebrate good times, right? Well, this movie makes me want to celebrate those childhood memories!
I want to know what you think… Does this movie give you fall vibes? Am I just crazy?!? Okay, don’t answer that last one! But, seriously, do you feel the need to go grab a flannel and hit the streets to do a solo dance gig in front of a music store window? Okay, I think I'm losing it. Let's just move on, shall we?
#3 – Read it and Weep (2006)
Am I the only one who wanted Jamie’s laptop that turned into a tablet? I didn’t think so. I don’t even have to explain how this one gives off fall vibes. Just watch this clip and you’ll see…
No explanation needed, am I right? This movie has become more relatable as I’ve gotten older because I also discovered in high school how much I LOVED creative writing! I can’t imagine if something I wrote about my WHOLE school got accidently published! But, Jamie became popular because of it and that’s everything anyone wants in high school, right? Wrong. Jamie learns what being a true friend means and how it’s important not to lose touch with the people you care about most. π§‘
You know how I just had to add in the Cheetah Girls shopping montage scene. Well, if you read my blog post where I ranked my favorite school
dance episodes, then you’d know I also LOVE montage scenes where characters are getting ready for their school dances! So, what are we waiting for? Hit it!
P.S. I also wanted that dress when I was a kid. It's the perfect dress for a fall dance, don't you think?
#2 – Alley Cats Strike (2000)
Okay, we need to take a moment and watch the opening scene of this movie…
How nostalgic did seeing that feel? I recently just watched this movie for the first time and that scene even felt nostalgic to me! I love
movies with fun friend-groups and what doesn’t scream fun more than a group of
friends who love jazz music and bowling?!?
This whole movie just has that early-2000s vibe that I can’t explain… I can only feel it. Does that make sense? Add in the falling leaves and you have yourself the perfect movie for a relaxing fall night!
#1 – Going to the Mat (2004)
This movie. This MOVIE! How did I
never see this as a kid?
I recently have been on a Lawrence
brother Disney Movie binge and have watched Horse Sense, The Other Me, and Jumping
Ship… and I LOVED them all!! Going to the Mat is sadly the last DCOM with a
Lawrence brother ☹ and I am
currently in the middle of watching it as I’m typing this right now. No joke! Honestly,
I have no words to describe how much I’m loving this movie! I will definitely
be sharing more about this movie in other posts, so I don’t want to say too
much! And I also have to finish it… so you know that’s a minor thing… doesn’t
really matter at all, right? No, but for real, I am speeding to finish this
post so that I can finish this movie right away!!
I am so glad Disney made a movie
that is centered around a blind character! Why isn’t Disney doing more of that?
I am watching this movie at the perfect time because you clicked on this post
to see fall DCOMs and here is the DCOM that has more fall feels than you could
ask for! Just watch these clips and you’ll be wanting to watch this for yourself…
trust me!
Are you ready for one of the cutest DCOM scenes of ALL TIME!! π§‘π€
Was that not the CUTEST! π
Okay... I'm going to go finish this movie now! Like, right now! π§‘
ππ§‘ππ§‘π
I had so much fun sharing all these awesome DCOMS with you, which
I’m sure most of you have seen yourselves. Which leads me to ask, which of
these five movies is your favorite? I CAN’T choose. I literally just can’t! I
have so many memories with the majority of these movies and some new memories
for the ones I’ve just seen recently. I love how watching movies can bring us
back to a certain time in our lives where nostalgia hits the most! I hope you
all had fun reading this post and that you got to remember special moments you
had while watching these nostalgic DCOMS!
I’ll see you next Tuesday for more celebrating! Don’t forget
to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making!
Together We Can remember those special memories and celebrate the new ones! πΎπ§‘
