🎶 My Soy Luna Season 1 Rewatch (Part Four ~ Ranking EVERY Open Music Performance) 💜

Let's celebrate this week by grabbing our microphones and taking the stage! 🎤💜

This SECOND to last Soy Luna season one re-watch post is ALL about the Open Music performances, which are some of my FAVORITE things about Soy Luna! 🎶💜

I haven't re-watched season three, yet! 👀 But, from what I remember and from having already re-watched seasons one and two, I am pretty certain season one has the MOST Open Music events! 🎵🎤

In season one, there were EIGHT Open Music events! 🎉💜 Some Open Music events had specific themes and rules and some were more freestyle! 🎶

For this post, I really wanted you to get the FEEL of what it was like to watch EVERY Open Music event and you wouldn't be able to get the true feeling of each event if I split up EVERY performance by ranking them because you would be seeing different performances from different Open Music's, which wouldn't give you a clear view as to what ONE entire Open Music event was like to watch! 👀 WOW! If that wasn't a run-on sentence, then I don't know what is! 😂 Hopefully, that made sense! 🤞

Basically, I'm going to share EVERY Open Music event with you first without editing out some of the talking scenes before and during the events, which will show you what it was like to watch EVERY Open Music without anything being ranked! 💜 Then, I've put each performance into FOUR different categories and will rank them amongst those categories! 🎶

It sounds confusing, but I promise this is going to be SO much FUN! 💜

For these Open Music performances, you'll see the versions that were in the actual episodes! 📺 Then, for my actual ranking, MOST of the performances will be the ones that they uploaded to the official YouTube channel, which show more of the performances and less of the talking during them! 🎶 

For these performances, you'll also see the English subtitles to refresh you on the songs lyrics, but for my actual ranking you'll be able to see the performances without having subtitles at the bottom of the screen! 💜

This Open Music required EVERYONE participating to draw colored balls out of a bag and whoever drew the same colored balls had to perform together! 💜 Matteo, Luna, and Simon drew the same colored balls, but you won't see Matteo perform with Luna and Simon because he pretended to be sick so that Luna and Simon could perform together for Simon's last Open Music (at the time Simon said he was going back to Mexico and this was going to be his last Open)! 🎶

If I had to pick my FAVORITE Open Music event as a WHOLE, my absolute TWO favorites are the Chicos vs. Chicas event and the very LAST Open Music event! 💜 The Chicos vs. Chicas event was the LONGEST Open Music event and it was FUN to see ALL of the girls team up to battle the boys and vice versa! 🎶 

The LAST Open Music just has SO many emotional and GOOD vibes because EVERYONE just seems SO happy to be there and there wasn't ANY tension off the stage, except with Ambar! 💜 Matteo and Luna got their FIRST duet with an original Lutteo song and Simon's reaction to them singing together is SO sweet compared to his reaction when they FIRST performed together! 🎵 During Roller Band's performance, Matteo seems HAPPY and is clapping along and it was just nice to see Simon and Matteo getting along throughout the event! 💜 Also, the BIG FelicityForNow reveal happens, which is the PERFECT finale for the LAST Open Music! 🎤 So, yeah! Those are my top TWO favorite Open Music events! 💜 What about you? Which Open Music was your FAVORITE to watch! 🎶

So, now that we've seen EVERY Open Music performance the way they were shown during the episodes and we've heard Jazmin and Delfi's opinions on some of them, it's time for you to rank them yourself before you see my official ranking! 💜 Usually, you don't see ANY of the performances before I rank them and so I figured it would be FUN to do your own little ranking to follow along with mine since you've seen EVERY performance! 🎵

MOST of the performances on my official ranking are the YouTube versions where the talking has been cut-out and more of the performances are shown, but they didn't upload EVERY performance to YouTube without the talking! 😢 So, some performances I've had to try and cutout the talking myself, but I wish they would have uploaded EVERY raw version of each performance, but I'm HAPPY that they uploaded some raw versions at all because I didn't even know those existed before doing these posts! 💜

So, if you want to take some time and do your own little ranking, I've split the performances up into FOUR categories to make it easier to rank them! 🎶

SOLO PERFORMANCES

#5 - Corazon (Cato)

Honestly, if this performance was a bit longer, it would have ranked higher than this! 😂 When the music picks up, Cato brings ALL the energy and he sings with such passion! 😅 This song seems like it was made for Cato because to me it's always been an "interesting" song... a little on the weird side... but those words fit perfectly with Cato's character! 😂 This performance is SUPER short, but I'm glad Cato performed at an Open Music event because he seemed to really enjoy being on stage! 😹

#4 - A Rodar Mi Vida (Acoustic - Yam)

Honestly, I would have put Cato's performance above this one because his was more upbeat and this one is pretty slow, but his was too short! 🎤 Also, this one is calming to listen to and sometimes it's nice to see an acoustic performance! ❤ Chiara's (Yam's) voice is SUPER unique and it shows with this performance! ♪ There isn't too much to say about this performance because there's not much to it, but it's still a solid solo performance! ❤

#3 - Cuando Bailo (Ramiro)

This is the VERY first Open Music performance EVER of Soy Luna! 👏 Ramiro brings ALL of his energy and confidence to the stage and gives a GREAT performance mixed with singing, dancing, and beatboxing! 🎤 I LOVE upbeat performances like this one and Ramiro's dancing ALWAYS makes me laugh for some reason because it's unique and FUN to watch! 💙 

#2 - Profugos (Gaston)

I CAN'T with Gaston! 😂 There is just something about his character that makes me LAUGH and this performance is literally GOLD! 😅 First off, Profugos is one of my FAVORITE Soy Luna songs from season one and it's also one of my FAVORITE songs to watch the characters perform! 💙 Augustin's (Gaston's) voice is VERY opera-like and I LOVE it! 🎤 His voice is SUPER unique and ALWAYS adds something special to ANY performance he is in! 💙 Sadly, this is his ONLY solo performance EVER in the series, but it's a GREAT one! 👏

I LOVE how it starts off all dramatic with him playing the keyboard, but then the beat changes and he begins to dance... I CAN'T with his hip bump to the crowd! 😂 The ONLY thing I'd change about this performance is to take out the talking and have it longer! 💙

#1 - Tengo Un Corazon (FelicityForNow - Nina)

This is the LAST Open Music performance of season one and Nina's ONLY solo performance of the series! 💚 This is a special performance because Nina reveals that she is FelicityForNow, but before that she sings this SWEET song and comes out of her shell on stage! 🎤 It's FUN to watch Nina perform this song dressed up like Felicity and to watch Gaston be SO excited to watch her perform! 💚 She seems to be having FUN performing and even though this song isn't too upbeat, there are still some dance moves incorporated into the performance! 👏

TRIO/BAND PERFORMANCES

#10 - Corazon (Electro Power)

This song is EVERYWHERE! 😂 This band didn't have any main characters in it and was just a band that came in for a few episodes! 🎸 This song isn't my MOST favorite, but I do LOVE the little guitar solo in this performance! 💓 I like how this band uses electric guitars and how this performance gives off some slight 80's vibes! 🎸 Again, the song choice isn't my FAVORITE, but they put their own twist on it, which is GOOD! 💓

#9 - Camino (Roller Band ft. Daniela) 

I like this song a bit more than the previous one, but it's still NOT my favorite! 💛 I LOVE the Roller Band, but NOT Daniela's character! ✖ Also, this performance isn't very long and there's mainly just a lot of talking during it! 🎤 But, I do still LOVE seeing the Roller Band on stage and it's still a performance I'd watch more than the previous one! 💛

#8 - Un Destino (Roller Band ft. Flor)

Un Destino is another one of my FAVORITE songs from season one and EVERY single time I hear it I begin singing "Un Destinoooooo" for the rest of the day! 😂 This performance is only low on this ranking because they mainly just stand there and sing, which is FINE, but I feel they could have had a bit more energy on stage! 💓 I still LOVE this song, though, which makes this performance GREAT! ♪ One of the main reasons I LOVE this song SO much is because Gaston's (Pedro's) voice really shines throughout it and I feel his voice is SUPER underrated! 💓

#7 - Un Destino (Jim & Nico & Yam)

YAY! Un Destino again! 👏💙 Even though I LOVE Roller Band's original version of this song the BEST, this performance is more FUN to watch because it has more energy and dancing! 💙 It's FUN seeing Nico perform with Jim and Yam and ALL of their dancing is in-sync and they seem HAPPY to be on stage! 💙 

#6 - A Rodar Mi Vida (Jim & Ramiro & Yam) 

As much as I enjoyed watching Nico perform with Jim and Yam, it just feels RIGHT to see Ramiro as the official third member of the trio! 💚 I can either be vibing with this song or be VERY annoyed by it! 😂 For this performance, I'm vibing with it! 💚 ALL three of them bring a lot energy to the stage and Ramiro's confidence seems to pour over into Jim and Yam's performances too! 🎤 Again, Ramiro's dancing is funny and the little running man move in this performance is PERFECTION! 👌💚

#5 - Chicas Asi (Jazmin & Ambar & Delfi)

This performance used to bother me SO much because of the wind machine! 😂 For some reason, I used to be SO annoyed with the wind effect, but it's not that bad... I guess! 😅 It adds a FUN touch... I just think it shouldn't have been used throughout almost ALL of the performance! ❤ This song is SUPER catchy, though! ♪ The beat, the choreography, the sass, and the overall vibe of the performance is GOOD! ❤ I wish we would have gotten to see more of the performance without ALL the talking, but we do get to hear some of the same lyrics sung over and over again! 😂 Good thing it's a catchy song! ❤

#4 - Invisibles (Pedro & Gaston & Ramiro)

This is a tricky performance to rank because it's SO short and is interrupted by A LOT of talking! 😢 But, I ranked it here because when re-watching the season this time around, I completely forgot about this performance and it was EXCITING to see Pedro, Gaston, and Ramiro ALL sing together in boy band type style! ❤  Anything with Gaston's voice is an immediate FAVORITE! 🎤 But, like I've mentioned before, Pedro and Ramiro also have SUPER unique voices! ❤ So, the THREE of them together doing little boy band moves and harmonizing are some of the reasons this ranks higher than longer performances! ♪

Also, this is Pedro's ONLY performance of the season where he isn't playing the drums and is actually moving/dancing on stage! 👏❤ 

#3 - Vuelo (Roller Band)

There are TWO things to note about this performance! ✌ First off, this is another performance I completely forgot about before re-watching the season! 💙 I ALWAYS knew Vuelo was the finale song of the season and I've ALWAYS loved the rooftop performance, but when they began to play this during the Open Music I got SO flippin' excited! 💙 Again, the FINAL Open Music of the season is one of my FAVORITES and Roller Band singing this song is one of the many reasons why! 🎤

Sadly, this performance is SUPER short! 😢 But, ANYTIME I watch this performance, it gives me ALL the feels! 💙 The other thing I haven't mentioned is how I just realized that this is the ONLY Open Music performance that Roller Band is singing with just the THREE of them and not with one added person! 💙 So, this is a true Roller Band performance and it's GREAT! 💙

#2 - Eres (Roller Band ft. Luna)

There is NO surprise that this performance ranks SO high! 💚 Some might consider it more of a duet, but this was for Battle of the Bands and Nico and Pedro are still apart of this performance even if they're not singing! 🎤 Eres is one of my ALL-TIME favorite songs from the ENTIRE series! 💚 I LOVE this performance SO much and it's the FIRST time Luna and Simon sing this song together! ♪ It's just SO stinkin' CUTE! 💚 This song NEVER gets old and this performance won't either! 💚

Karol (Luna) sings this song a little different than the CD version and I LOVE both versions! 💚 You can tell Michael (Simon) gets SO into the music and it's just sweet to watch them sing together! 💚 It's definitely one of my FAVORITE Open Music performances! 💚

#1 - Valiente (Roller Band ft. Luna)

If you've seen my post where I ranked EVERY song from season one (here), then you know that Valiente was my number-one song from the season! 💙 To me, it's one of the songs that represents not ONLY season one, but the ENTIRE series! 🎤 This is not only the FIRST Roller Band performance of the series, but it's the FIRST time Luna sings onstage, as well! 💙 I LOVE how Simon dedicates this song to Luna, then motions for her to join him onstage! 💙 I ALWAYS wished they would have added this version on the CD, but that's why this performance is SO special because it's the ONLY version of Roller Band singing it with just Luna! 💙

This performance is ONE of the most nostalgic and memorable performances of Soy Luna! 💗💙

Which TRIO/BAND performance is your FAVORITE? 💜

GROUP PERFORMANCES

#10 - Camino (Los Otros)

Honestly, these group performances were the HARDEST for me to rank! 💛 There are little things about each group performance that I LOVE and it's hard to decipher between each performances little things which little things I like more! 😂 For example, I LOVE the little choreography in this performance and how this performance makes me like a song that's NEVER been a favorite of mine from the series! 💛 I never paid too much attention to this performance, but this time I DID and I was vibing with it and was like, "Oh! This is actually REALLY good!" 👏💛

Technically, this performance was apart of Battle of the Bands, but to me it counts more as a group performance because the people playing instruments in the back aren't main characters and were only there so that they could perform this song during Battle of the Bands! 🎤 I do really like this performance and it ONLY ranks last because the other performances have other little special things that beat out this performances little things! 💛

This was Los Otros' ONLY performance, but it was FUN while it lasted! 💛

#9 - Cuando Bailo (The Chicos)

I'm not going to lie... this performance is ranked higher than the previous one because of Gaston! 💚 I CAN'T with his harmonizing and him putting his hand in the air as he hits those notes to PERFECTION! 💚 This performance is A LOT more upbeat than the previous one and it's a performance from my other FAVORITE Open Music event, Chicos vs. Chicas! 💚 This performance just has A LOT of energy and it's FUN to see the boys singing ALL together! 🎤💚

#8 - Corazon (The Chicos)

This performance is more of Gaston being Gaston! 💛 Cato and Gaston are the ONLY ones who can sing this song! 😂 It's just made for their characters! 💛 This is Gaston's shining moment, but I have to give the other boys credit too because their dancing is GREAT and funny (in a good way) at the same time! 👏 This is a slower song than the previous performance, but again, Gaston... just Gaston! 😂 It's CUTE watching ALL the boys performing this little romantic song and pouring out ALL their little emotions with their dance moves and the girls (besides Delfi) are watching like, "Is it our turn yet?" 😅

#7 - Un Destino (The Chicas)

It was REALLY hard ranking ALL of the performances from the same Open Music event because the boys and girls ALL did GREAT! 💚 So, like I mentioned before, I ranked them based on the little things I liked MOST in each performance, but it also matters if I like the song choice more! ♪ So far, for these group performances, this is my FAVORITE song choice! 💚 It's FUN to hear just the girls singing this song and in my opinion, the girls had more in-sync choreography than the boys! 💚

So, even though Jazmin messes up at the beginning, this performance is still VERY good! 💚 Also, I LOVE seeing ALL of the off-to-the-side reactions from the boys during the girls' performances and vice versa because there was SO much tension during this Open Music, but then there are also Simon's sweet reactions and him just secretly rooting for the girls' team because he hates being on a team with Matteo THAT much! 😂

#6 - Mirame A Mi (The Chicas)

I prefer Un Destino over this song! ♪ However, this song brings MORE energy and sass to the stage! 💙 Again, to me, the girls' performances have more in-sync choreography! ♪ This performance is ranked higher than the others because of their synchronicity, but there's also just something about their attitude and sass that makes this feel like a stronger and more put together performance! 💙 I know what it is... they are really owning the stage and that's what makes this performance SO good! 💙 If you know you're killing it, then it projects to EVERYONE else that your performance is killing it! 💙

#5 - A Rodar Mi Vida (The Chicas)

I was SURPRISED that I ranked this as the HIGHEST girls performance from this specific Open Music! 😲 I think I said this earlier, but this song can either be a hit or miss for me and this version is a HIT! 💚 This performance is a feel-good performance and EVERYONE seems happy... well... except for Ambar and that's one of the little things that I LIKE about this performance is the little "battle" happening between Luna and Ambar throughout it! 😂 The choreography is also funny (in a good way) to watch and it goes along with the feel-good vibe of the song! 💚 This is one of their LONGEST performances and it's not as annoying as it could be with this song choice! 😂 I actually really like this performance and think it's energetic and choregraphed well! 💚

#4 - I'd Be Crazy (The Boys)

I've LOVED this song and performance ever since I FIRST watched it! ❤ I get excited EVERY time I get to watch it again! ❤ And, guess what? I just realized I lied to you and to myself! 😳 Remember when I said during the trio/band performances that the performance with Gaston, Pedro, and Ramiro was the ONLY time Pedro performed onstage without playing the drums? 👀 Well, he's in this performance and he's not playing the drums! 😂 It just shows that my memory isn't what it used to be! 😬 But, YAY! Pedro gets to dance again! 👏❤ That makes this performance even more special then because ALL of the boys are in it this time! ❤ 

At the beginning though, I hope someone made sure that none of them got whiplash from that head-whipping! 😂 Their dancing, singing, and energy in this performance is GREAT! 👏 This is one of the boys' BEST performances for sure! ❤

#3 - Sobre Ruedas (The Girls)

I was SHOCKED when I decided to rank this higher than I'd Be Crazy! 😲 I ALWAYS sort of overlooked this performance because I ALWAYS thought it wasn't better than I'd Be Crazy and I never LOVED this song, but now I have a new appreciation for it! ❤ This song reminds me of an early 2000s girl pop song and this performance gives off that EXACT vibe too! ❤ I LOVE their colorful outfits, the choreography, and the overall laid-back/nostalgic vibe of the performance! ❤ So, call me CRAZY for ranking it higher than I'd Be Crazy, but right now I think it's in the PERFECT place! ❤

As you watch the performance, be looking at which colorful dress is your FAVORITE! ❤ Mine is Luna's, but I also like Jim's and Jazmin's and Delfi's does stand out A LOT and is VERY bright! ❤

#2 - Profugos (The Chicos)

As I mentioned before, Profugos is one of my FAVORITE songs to watch being performed and this time is NO different! 💛 This performance is SO short, but it's one of my FAVORITES for many reasons! 💛 First off, I already mentioned that I LOVE the song choice! ♪ But, this performance is literally SO funny because of Simon and Matteo's temper throughout it! 💛 As they both sing, they just get angrier and angrier with each other and I've ALWAYS loved this performance because of that, which I promise I don't like seeing people mad, but even you can't deny that this performance is ALL the better because of their little singing battle! 💛

This performance is high-energy and it's definitely memorable! 💛 I just wish it was longer! 😢

#1 - Valiente 

Valiente WINS in another category! 👏💚 EVERYONE (except Nina) comes together for this performance and sings my FAVORITE song of the season! 🎤 So, of course, this one WINS for group performances! 💚 I LOVE how it starts off with just Luna and then more people join little by little until the boys and girls are BOTH onstage ending the Chicos vs. Chicas battle united! 💚 This is the PERFECT song to end the singing battle with because it brings EVERYONE together! It's also one of the LONGEST Open Music performances of the season! 💚

DUETS

#6 - Corazon (Ana & Ricardo)

Not going to lie... this performance is kind of a vibe! 😂 If Ricardo was a character I actually liked, then I'd probably watch this performance more! 😬 Okay... okay! I don't HATE Ricardo's character, but he sometimes gives me off vibes and I don't know why! 👀 But, this performance is pretty good and he is FUNNY during some parts of it... NOT the part where they are spinning in circles with each other because she looks SO uncomfortable! 😳 Again, this song is EVERYWHERE, but I've just accepted it and now so should you! 😂 I could see why Nina was embarrassed by her parents performing, but honestly, it's not that bad! 🎤 I'd be vibing in the audience if I was there... I mean I'd also probably be falling asleep, but I'd be vibing! 💓

#5 - A Rodar Mi Vida (Jim & Yam)

I think this performance is why I was ALWAYS annoyed with this song and I think it has nothing to do with the actual performance, but the outfits! 😬 I know that sounds SO superficial of me, but anytime I watch this performance, ALL I can focus on are the outfits! 👀 If I try REALLY hard to not focus on the dresses though, then I do think this is a solid upbeat performance! 🤎 It isn't my FAVORITE, but it's not bad! 🎤 

#4 - Mirame A Mi (Ambar & Matteo)

Honestly, if I didn't ship Lutteo SO much, then Ambar and Matteo would be the IT couple! 🤍 This performance reminds me A LOT of their duo-skating routines because they really give it their ALL whether they are on the rink or onstage! 🤍 Their confidence onstage is what makes this performance SO strong and it reflects in the choreography, as well! 🤍 You can tell they know their good and they know that you know that their good! 😂 This is an overall STRONG performance and is another version of a song that I would have LOVED them to have put on the CD! 🤍

#3 - Profugos (Luna & Matteo)

It's no surprise that I am a Lutteo shipper and so, this performance has OF COURSE always been one of my FAVORITE Open Music performances! 💗 It's one of the performances that immediately pops into my mind when I think of Soy Luna! 🎤 It's Luna and Matteo's FIRST time singing together in the series and so, it's pretty SPECIAL! 💗 There isn't much choreography like in the previous performance and it's not SUPER high-energy! But, Luna and Matteo have a natural chemistry onstage together and it shows in this performance! 💗 Not only do I LOVE this song, but I LOVE that they sing it together for their FIRST performance! 💗 I know it seems like I'm kind of biased because I ship their characters, but you have to admit that they sound GOOD together and it's a CUTE performance! 💗

#2 - Profugos (Luna & Simon)

My little Lutteo shipper heart feels betrayed by the part of my heart that LOVES Simon and Luna's friendship! 😂 It's the SAME song as the previous performance, but a different boy! ❤ There are a couple of reasons why Luna and Simon's performance of Profugos beats out Lutteo's! ❤ First off, their performance is WAY more energized and it's FUN to see them performing together as a duet and dancing and smiling SO much throughout the performance! ❤ Simon looks SO happy performing with Luna, but let's not miss the little Lutteo moment that happens during the performance! 👀 Luna takes a moment to smile at Matteo because she knows he backed out of performing with them so that she could perform with Simon for his last Open and the little smile he does back... it's ALL so cute! ❤ It's the little things! ❤ 

Back to Luna and Simon, though... this performance is FUN to watch because of how HAPPY they are! ❤ I wasn't really LOVING Simon's character during these episodes, but I do LOVE this performance! ❤ 

It was originally REALLY hard for me to decide between the TWO different Profugos performances! ❤ So, I made this little remix edit of both to help me decide! ♪ Which version is your FAVORITE? ❤

#1 - Que Mas Da (Luna & Matteo)

Of course, this post HAS to end with a Lutteo song! 💙 It's ONLY right! 💙 Well, I was going to originally end this post with the group performances and have the LAST song be Valiente, but I LOVE the duets and wanted to save them for last! 💙 This is the FIRST original Lutteo song we get in the series and it was performed during one of my FAVORITE Open Music's of season one! 🎤 I LOVE this song and seeing them finally perform together when Luna actually wanted to sing with Matteo was an anticipated moment that we waited for ALL season! 💙 Them holding hands and singing to each other is SO sweet! 😊 One of my FAVORITE moments is at the VERY beginning when Luna looks at Matteo and he shakes his head a little and gets in front of her! 💙 

The little backstory to that moment is that Luna had SO much going on and didn't think she'd learn the song in time and was worried she'd forget the lyrics onstage! 😬 So, Matteo said if she got confused to just look at him and so that's what she did and he got in front of her and held out his hand while he sang the little part she forgot! 😭 I'm not crying you are! 😥 Okay... I might be a little too over-the-top with this whole shipping thing! 😂 

The PERFECT word to describe this performance is SWEET! 💙 It's definitely one of my FAVORITES! 💙
