๐Ÿ’“ Ranking FOURTEEN love song music videos from Disney Channel Stars ~ Valentine's Month 2023 ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿ’ž

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’Ÿ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’—

Let's celebrate this week by reading the LAST Valentine's Month post for 2023! ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’“

It's bittersweet that it's the fourteenth, but hey... Valentine's Day is a month long in my eyes! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’—

I'll be CELEBRATING for the rest of the month by listening to more LOVE songs, watching MORE cute edits of some of my FAVORITE TV ships, and watching ALL of the CUTE Valentine's Day episodes from some of my FAVORITE series! ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’Ÿ๐Ÿ’“

Speaking of LOVE songs... ๐Ÿ’“

Last year, I shared FOURTEEN love song music videos from Disney Channel stars (here) and I'm HAPPY to be sharing FOURTEEN more this Valentine's Day! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to find FOURTEEN more love song music videos just from Disney Channel stars alone because there really aren't that many...

But, I looked hard and found some REALLY good ones! Some are SUPER nostalgic and SOME I watched for the FIRST time this year! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’—

I can't wait to share the ones I've chosen for our FINAL Valentine's Day post! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

So, let's just jump right in, shall we?!? ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“

 ๐ŸŒน Roses are RED

๐Ÿ’™ Violets are BLUE,

๐Ÿ˜ข This is a bittersweet post,

๐Ÿ˜Š But I'm glad to be celebrating Valentine's Day with YOU! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•

 ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“

(from least to most favorite)

*This is a ranking for the music videos and NOT the songs themselves! โ™ช However, how well the concept of the videos matches with the meanings of the songs was important to me when ranking these! ๐Ÿ’“

#14 - Chemicals React (Aly & AJ)

This is one of my FAVORITE Aly & AJ songs and it's SUPER nostalgic, but the music video is a little boring! ๐Ÿ’“ This is what I call a "performance music video" because the concept is just them performing the song for a crowd of people! ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ’ž I LOVE the gold and black aesthetic, though, and they do know how to rock out to this song onstage! ๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ’“

Overall, this is a FUN high-energy music video to watch, but it isn't one I'd watch over and over again! ๐Ÿ’“

#13 - Boombox (Laura Marano)

I don't listen to Laura Marano's music that often, but I do LOVE this song! ๐Ÿ’“ The song is a BOP, but the music video is trying a little too hard to be... hmmm... what's the word I'm looking for... flirty?... sexy?... spicy?... Those words seem kind of weird to use, but it's true! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I'm not going to say Laura Marano can't dance because that's mean and I think EVERYONE should dance whether they're the best at it or not! ๐Ÿ’ƒ However, the choreography they gave her for this comes across SUPER awkward! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I'm not trying to be mean in any way, seriously, but I just think they were having her try WAY too hard in this, but a lot of the moves were too stiff! ๐Ÿ˜•

Don't get me wrong, though, because this video still has it's CUTE moments! ๐Ÿ’“ I think they should have focused more on Laura getting taught the steps by the background dancer because those scenes looked more natural than any of the others! ๐Ÿ’ž Also, the music video has too much dialogue at the beginning and the end to where it's funny the first time you watch it, but then I just skipped ALL the talking the second time around! ๐Ÿ’“

Overall, I do like this music video, but I can't get past the awkwardness! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ’“

(Behind The Scenes)

#12 - Like Whoa (Aly & AJ)

This is another "performance" type music video, but it's not filmed onstage with a crowd and is instead, filmed in a photoshoot type setting! ๐Ÿ’“ I still call it a "performance music video" because they are mostly just singing to the camera and there isn't like a music video storyline with acting and stuff! ๐ŸŽฅ This music video is also a tad bit boring, but my FAVORITE part is the bridge when they do ALL the slow-motion glitter and jump scenes! ๐Ÿ’ž Other than the slow-motion scenes, the music video really only consists of Aly and AJ singing with different styles of microphones! ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ’“

Overall, this is a VERY nostalgic music video, but it could use more FUN slow-motion moments! ๐Ÿ’“ Also, I do LOVE the song "Chemicals React" more than this song, but this music video is a bit more interesting than the other one! ๐Ÿ’ž

#11 - Ins and Outs (Sofia Carson)

I LOVE when music videos have night scenes in them, especially when they're set in a city setting because you get to see ALL the city lights at night! ๐Ÿ’“ Well, this music video is ALL a night/city setting and instead of there being a ton of city lights, this city setting has a more chill and mellow vibe, like all the lights are out and it's just the couple running around a quiet city! ๐Ÿ’“

I LOVE how this is a pretty simple music video and it only ranks lower on this list because I wish there were less taxi scenes and more scenes of them as a couple running around the city! ๐Ÿ’“ I do really LOVE the aesthetic of this music video, though! ๐Ÿ’ž

(Behind The Scenes)

#10 - Digital Love (Meg Donnelly)

This music video was originally going to go higher on this list because I LOVE any music video that has A LOT of dancing in it, but there are a couple things I would change about this music video! ๐Ÿ’“ I LOVE that there's dancing in this music video, but I would add even MORE dancing because there isn't that much now that I've watched it for the hundredth time! ๐Ÿ’ž I'd also make the music video longer because it is pretty short and making it longer would allow there to be MORE dancing! ๐Ÿ’ƒ I'd also change the filter/look of the video a bit because the coffee shop scenes look like the people are like stock images or something... I don't know if that's a good way to explain it, but the vibe just seems like they were inserted into a stock video they purchased! ๐Ÿ˜‚

The concept of the video matches the song SUPER well and I do one-hundred percent agree that we live in a VERY digital age, but sometimes I don't always like being reminded of that! ๐Ÿ˜‚ This video has a negative undertone of how there's little human interaction these days and it's kind of depressing! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I do think this music video has an important message, though! ๐Ÿ’“

Overall, I LOVE a lot of the aspects of this music video, but it's mainly lower on this list because it doesn't give off the theme of a "love song music video" as much and is mainly trying to share how we should put our phones down! ๐Ÿ’ž

(Behind The Scenes)

#9 - Get Back (Demi Lovato)

This is another "performance-style" music video, but this one has a completely different vibe than Aly & AJ's! ๐Ÿ’“ This one has daytime and nighttime scenes and I LOVE the city/bridge view! ๐ŸŒ† This music video ranks in my top ten because the setting gives me Step Up 3 vibes and this performance music video is different than the others because there are some scenes where Demi Lovato is looking out at the view and isn't singing with the mic! ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ’“

Demi Lovato's energy in OG music videos is always top-notch and she really gets into showing the emotions behind each song! ๐Ÿ’ž I LOVE the aesthetic of this music video and how it's white/blue toned and not warm toned like A LOT of the other videos on this list! ๐Ÿ’“

Overall, this is a VERY aesthetic music video with a GREAT scenery of the city and water! ๐Ÿ’ž

(Behind The Scenes)

#8 - Shower (Becky G)

Technically, I didn't know if Becky G counts as a Disney Channel star! ๐Ÿค” But, she was apart of Radio Disney's N.B.T. contest and she did perform on Austin & Ally... So, it might be stretching it a bit, but I think she can be considered a Disney Channel star! ๐Ÿ’“

This song and "Party in the U.S.A." are Fourth of July BOPS! ๐Ÿ’“ My FAVORITE parts in this music video are ALL the sparkler scenes, but the WHOLE video just has a HAPPY vibe to it! ๐Ÿ’ž I LOVE the summer vibe and the different transitions, like Becky G running through paper and the "shower" wall just being a backdrop that falls down! ๐Ÿ’“

Overall, you can tell this video didn't have a HUGE budget like the other Disney Channel stars got, but they did a GREAT job with still creating an upbeat and FUN music video that for sure beats out some of the ones with bigger budgets! ๐Ÿ’“

(Behind The Scenes)

#7 - On Purpose (Sabrina Carpenter)

This is the MOST aesthetically pleasing music video on this list! ๐Ÿ’“ Sometimes I rank music videos based on the thought of "If this was my song, what type of music video would I make for it?" ๐Ÿค” Well, I think it'd be SO much fun to film a music video where you get to walk around London and feel ALL vintage by using old camera props and getting to film in a telephone booth! ๐Ÿ’ž I like how she isn't lip-syncing to the song in EVERY clip and how there are SO many different settings and even different outfits in this music video! ๐Ÿ’“

The setting of London and the vintage aesthetic filter of the video gives off the PERFECT love song vibe! ๐Ÿ’ž I'd definitely make a music video like this one if I were a singer and wasn't afraid of flying in an airplane to go to London! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’“ The only reason it isn't higher on this list is because sometimes I do prefer storylines/acting in music videos because ones like this one can get a little monotonous if you watch it a lot in a row, which I have done for this ranking! ๐Ÿ’ž

#6 - Burnin' Up (Jonas Brothers)

I remember ALL the drama surrounding this music video because Selena Gomez makes a few appearances in this video and EVERYONE was freaking out that her and Nick were together and not Nick and Miley... Oh, the teenage drama of 2008! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’“ For that reason, and the fact that this played during Disney Channel commercials ALL the time, this music video is VERY nostalgic! ๐Ÿ’ž However, I was never much of a Jonas Brothers fan as a kid and never was obsessed with this music video, but I like it more now that I'm older and can understand it a bit better! ๐Ÿ’“

At first, the different characters the Jo Bros play in this music video were distracting from the actual song, but I kind of like the concept now! ๐Ÿ’“ I mainly like it because they're SO over the top to where I just laugh throughout the WHOLE video, but this music video has one of my FAVORITE things... a NIGHT scene! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ž The poolside performance scenes are my FAVORITE, especially when their bodyguard starts rapping! ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ’“ My FAVORITE dialogue at the beginning and the end are Joe's comments! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Overall, this music video is different than ALL of the other ones on this list because it hits more on the comedy side of things, but then has the COOL poolside scenes to bring it back to being more serious! ๐Ÿ’“ It's a GREAT mix of both! ๐Ÿ’ž

(Behind The Scenes)

#5 - Why (Sabrina Carpenter)

It's interesting because I ALWAYS saw the thumbnail for this video anytime I looked up a song/video of Sabrina Carpenter's, but for some reason, I never clicked it... Until, I started searching for music videos for this list! ๐Ÿ’“ My first thought was that the dialogue at the beginning seemed a bit awkward/stiff and the music video would be fine without it! ๐ŸŽฅ My second thought was that I LOVED the little details throughout the video that showed how they were opposites! ๐Ÿ’ž Like, when they are sitting on the couch back to back and the guy is reading a book and listening to a record playing on a record player, but she has her headphones on and is listening to music on her phone! ๐Ÿ’“ You can spot other little details like that throughout the video and I think it's really COOL and matches the message of the song SO well! โ™ช๐Ÿ’ž

I like the vibe of this music video and how there is a consistent storyline running throughout it! ๐Ÿ’“ I don't understand the ending, though! ๐Ÿ’ž If someone does understand or has a theory as to what the ending means, then let me know please! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’“

(Behind The Scenes)

#4 - History (Olivia Holt)

So, at first, I had a different music video picked out for this list and decided to completely take that one out of the running and replaced it with this one! ๐Ÿ’“ I first discovered this song at the beginning of 2020 when I had went through a phase of watching the show "Kickin' It" for the first time! ๐Ÿ’ž I'm not a HUGE fan of that show now, but I did LOVE Jack and Kim together! ๐Ÿ’“ So, when I looked up Oliva Holt's music and clicked on this music video and saw Leo Howard in it, I immediately LOVED this video and became obsessed with this song! โ™ช๐Ÿ’ž

I LOVE the vibe of this music video and how it's ALL about her reminiscing on ALL of the memories with her ex whom she still loves! ๐Ÿ’“ As she walks to the different areas inside and outside of the house, it plays clips of her and her ex in those same spots! ๐Ÿ’ž There are some really cute couple moments in this music video! ๐Ÿ’ž Even though this can be a break-up song, it's really a song about getting back together with someone you never really got over! ๐Ÿ’“

Overall, the scenery/location of this music video is SO simple and pretty and PERFECT for a song like this one! ๐Ÿ’ž

(Behind The Scenes)

#3 - It's Only Love, Nobody Dies (Sophia Carson)

This was another new-to-me music video that I hadn't seen before this ranking! ๐Ÿ’“ The CGI is SO good in this video and the concept is pretty deep! ๐Ÿ’ž Now, I don't know if I'm right, but I sort of have my own theory as to what is going on throughout this music video! ๐ŸŽฅ

At the beginning of the music video, the guy takes the girl to a place with a stunning view as if that view represents the first time the girl really begins liking this guy! ๐Ÿ’“ Then, the flame sparks in her eyes and everything is on fire as if that scene is representing the feeling of falling in love with someone! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Then, the couple has their first fight. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ The girl gets out of the car and is alone. Until, the guy gets out of the car too. As they are making up, it begins thundering and pouring rain! โ˜” They get back in the car and begin to drive really fast, trying to get away from the storm, which represents the turmoil in their relationship! ๐Ÿ’” As they get past the storm, they drive onto a bridge that is surrounded by clouds! โ˜ The bridge could be representing them trying to "bridge" back together their relationship, but the scenery NEVER turns sunny after the storm and the clouds don't go away, which could represent how they might be out of the storm, but their relationship is still not one-hundred percent fixed. ๐Ÿ’” The guy ignores all the clouds and leans in to kiss the girl, but she picks up the car keys and gets into the drivers seat as if she is now taking control of the relationship! ๐Ÿ”‘ As she is trying to get past the bridge, the scenes become chaotic and she begins to look worried and then, they end up in a tunnel filled with lights! This scene could be representing how she's had tunnel-vision throughout the relationship and is now seeing all of the things wrong with their relationship! ๐Ÿ’” As the tunnel is spinning and the girl is looking worried, the guy is smiling in the passenger seat! ๐Ÿ˜ณ All of a sudden, the girl stops the car and the guy is no longer in the passenger seat! She smiles and as she drives out of the tunnel, all the lights finally turn off as if representing the end of the relationship! ๐Ÿ‘

That is my theory as to what ALL of the different scenes mean, but I could totally be wrong! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’“ But, that's how deep this music video is because you can literally create your own idea of what the meaning behind it is! ๐Ÿ’ž The CGI is SO cool and unique! It's like you're watching a scene from an action movie! ๐Ÿ’“

Overall, this music video can definitely be a "break-up" music video, but it's more of a music video that shows ALL the stages of falling/being in love and falling out of love! ๐Ÿ’ž

(Behind The Scenes)

#2 - Back To You (Selena Gomez)

Okay. I went back and forth on where to place this music video on this list! ๐Ÿ˜ณ First off, I can't tell you how many times I used to listen to this song! ๐Ÿ’“ I had never seen the music video until like a year ago and was confused, but intrigued by it! ๐Ÿ’ž It felt like a Bonnie and Clyde type of storyline and I DO NOT like how people take the Bonnie and Clyde stories and turn them into some romantic love story... like NOPE! โœ– They were criminals! ๐Ÿ˜ณ However, this music video isn't really showcasing a good type of love and more of a toxic love! ๐Ÿ’” They do steal a car. They are thieves. But, I think that's more of a metaphor of how their relationship is toxic and how they made bad decisions in the relationship. ๐Ÿ˜• It shows from beginning to end how their relationship goes from one bad decision to the next leading up to the moment where it just starts ALL over again when she asks him if he wants to steal a car again as if they are about to repeat EVERY bad decision they just made! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

This video definitely showcases a toxic relationship, but apart from stealing a car, it's actually really relatable because I think we've all had relationships in our lives where we just kept going back and forth, until finally you just figure out that you're only going in circles and it's not healthy! ๐Ÿ’” Family, friends, significant others... any type of relationship can be like what's happening in this music video! ๐Ÿ˜”

Even though I DON'T like the bad stuff, like stealing, in this music video... I do like the overall vibe, especially the camcorder moments! ๐Ÿ“น To me, the girl is the instigator in the relationship. ๐Ÿ˜ณ She wants to steal the car. She surrounds herself with apples that the guy ends up getting a cameo moment of taking a bite out of it, which to me represents Adam and Eve and how Eve was the instigator. ๐ŸŽ The girl burns the car. She goes back to the party. Then, she asks him ALL over again about stealing another car. It seems the girl in the video is the one who is making ALL the wrong decisions and the guy is making the wrong decision by following along! โœ–

The reason this counts as more of a "love song" music video than a "break-up song" music video is because the girl and guy are still in a love (even if it's toxic) at the end of the video! ๐Ÿ’“ Overall, I LOVE the vintage vibe to this music video and even though it symbolizes a toxic relationship, I have to admit that it's an interesting music video because you wonder what's going to happen next! ๐Ÿ’ž

I am SO excited to talk about my number-one music video because my brain hurts from having to type out my thoughts on the previous two videos! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’“

#1 - Call It Whatever (Bella Thorne)

There is NO doubt that this is my FAVORITE music video out of these FOURTEEN! ๐Ÿ’“ Whenever I hear this song or watch the music video, I instantly go back to 2014 when I used to play this song and "Can't Blame A Girl For Trying" by Sabrina Carpenter back to back on REPEAT! โ™ช๐Ÿ’“ I was obsessed with this song and still am... it's a total BOP that will get stuck in your head after just listening to it once! ๐Ÿ’ž

Anytime I see a diner set, I immediately think of the movie "A Cinderella Story" and I'm not mad about it! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I think diner sets are SO cute and FUN and I would SO want to have a music video just like this one! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ I LOVE all the little dancing parts in this video and I LOVE when they go outside and it changes to a night scene that gives off SO many 80s vibes... I just LOVE it SO much! ๐Ÿ’“

I just LOVE how upbeat and light-hearted this music video is! It gives off SO many happy vibes and I feel like it honestly has more Valentine's Day vibes versus any of the other videos on this list! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ A CUTE setting, FUN dance moves, a BOP of a song... what else could you ask for in a music video? ๐Ÿ’“ This music video gives me ALL the nostalgic feels! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

(Behind The Scenes)

 ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“

Before we officially wrap-up our LAST Valentine's Day post of the year, I want to share one more music video! ๐Ÿ’“

ALL of these love songs are FUN to listen to, but one of the MOST important things you should celebrate today is the love you have for yourself! ๐Ÿ’ž If no one bought you flowers or candy today, go out and get you a treat for yourself! ๐Ÿซ๐ŸŒน You deserve it! ๐Ÿ’“ Today is also about the love you receive and give today to the people in your life that are there for you every day! Go out and get them a little something too or make them something... it doesn't have to be store bought! ๐Ÿ’“

Valentine's Day isn't just about romantic relationships, it's about EVERY good relationship in your life! ๐Ÿ’ž Here is a self-love song that I LOVE and I know you will too! And it's PERFECT for today because it's called, "The Rose Song." ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ’“

 ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’“

I had SO much FUN creating this post for the SECOND year in a row! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

These love song music videos were SO different than the ones from last year and I'm curious if you've seen last year's post (here), which post do you think has the BETTER fourteen music video choices? ๐Ÿ’“ I LOVE all of them and can't choose, which I know defeats the WHOLE purpose of the question! ๐Ÿ˜‚ But, maybe you find it easier to answer, so let me know what you think! ๐Ÿ’ž

What was your FAVORITE music video from this year's Valentine's Day post? ๐Ÿ’“ Did I put these music videos in the same order you would? ๐Ÿ’ž

I've had SO much FUN creating ALL four of my Valentine's Month posts and I already can't wait to create more for NEXT year! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

I hope you ALL are having/have had an AMAZING Valentine's Day full of LOVE! ๐Ÿ’“ I'll see you ALL in March for a whole NEW set of posts! ๐Ÿ’ž

But...

Until then...

Don't forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making! ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

And...

For one LAST time this year...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’Ÿ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’—
