⛄ Ranking Every Barbie Christmas Movie ~ My Last Post of the Year 💗

Let's celebrate this week with our LAST post of 2022! 😲💗🎉

I'm sure I don't have to explain how iconic Barbie movies are! 💗 During quarantine in 2021, my sisters and I started watching ALL of the Barbie movies and I planned on ranking EVERY.SINGLE.ONE of them once we finished! 📝 Well... we did finish ALL of the ones from 2001 to 2020! 👏 However, by the time we watched the last movie (number thirty-eight), I had forgotten my thoughts about the first fifteen we watched! 😳 

So, I never got to do an official ranking of the movies because I didn't keep good track of my thoughts on each movie! 📺 But, hopefully, I'll be able to rank ALL of them in 2023! 🤞 If not, there's this ranking of at least three of them! 😂

There are three Barbie holiday movies and I watched ALL of them this Christmas, which was actually SO relaxing! 🎄💗 I think that's why people, including adults, love to re-watch Barbie movies because they are SO peaceful to watch! 💓

For these THREE holiday movies, there are THREE parts to this ranking! 💗 I'll be ranking the movies, the outfits, and the songs/dances from each movie! 🎵⛄ Now, if I ever get around to ranking the rest of the Barbie movies, then that ranking will look a bit different! 👀 

For this ranking, the outfits and the songs/dances will be ranked separately for each movie! 🎶 For example, ALL the songs from Barbie: A Perfect Christmas will ONLY be ranked against each other and not the other movies on this list! 💜 But, when I get to my official ranking of ALL the other Barbie movies... the outfits, songs, and dances will ALL be ranked against each other! 📺 Does that make any sense?!? 😂 Hopefully, it does! 💗

#3 - Barbie In The Nutcracker (2001) 

I LOVED watching this movie this year during Christmas because for some reason I got really into the Nutcracker ballet this year and watched many different versions of the ballet on YouTube! 🩰 The music from the original Nutcracker ballet, which is used in this movie, is some of the most iconic instrumental Christmas music EVER! 💗 It's even used as the background music in one of my all-time FAVORITE Christmas movies, Eloise At Christmastime! 🎶💗 

The only reason this movie is ranked last on this list is because it gives off the least amount of Christmas vibes, but that doesn't mean I don't LOVE it because I do! 💗 If you've read my previous posts from November, then you know that I LOVE dancing and this movie has some AMAZING ballet numbers inspired by the original Nutcracker ballet! 🩰

This movie teaches you to NEVER make assumptions, to NEVER judge someone based on their appearance, and that it's okay to have BIG dreams! 💗 The settings are whimsical, the music is amazing, the characters are well-developed, and the dancing is the cherry on top! 🌸🍨

Also, this was the FIRST ever Barbie movie made! 👏💗

#2 - Barbie: A Perfect Christmas (2011) 

You might be surprised that I ranked this above a classic Barbie movie, but I LOVE sister movies and this one is just that! 💗 I actually watched most of this movie with my sisters this year as we wrapped presents! 🎁 But, we never finished it and I didn't get to pay close attention to it because I was wrapping! 🎀 So, I re-watched this whole thing by myself and actually LOVED it way more than I initially thought! 💗 I mean a Barbie Christmas musical... say no more! 🎤💗

This movie actually has some GREAT songs that are super catchy! 🎶 I LOVE how realistic Barbie and her sisters are in this movie because they are basically arguing the whole time! 😂💗 This movie has some SUPER sweet sister messages like always being there for each other, learning that siblings don't need to compare/compete with each other, learning how to make the most out of a situation, and helping each other out ALWAYS! 💗👏

This movie felt Christmas-y the WHOLE time, especially with the songs! 🎶 I LOVED seeing Barbie with all THREE of her sisters and this is the FIRST Barbie movie to show them all together! 💗 This is definitely a sweet sister movie to watch during the holidays! 💟

Two quick notes I noticed while watching this movie... 

⭐ Barbie's singing voice is different in this movie, but not all Barbie movies have the original singer's voice singing in them and this singer's vocals are still GREAT! 🎤💗

⭐ My mind is blown because Stacy is Barbie's sister that was in the VERY first Barbie movie and in some of the others and I always thought the little girl in this movie was supposed to be Stacy, but I just realized Stacy is the second youngest in this movie! 🤯 So, they had her grow up in this film, but Stacy is the SAME Stacy from the OG Barbie movies who used to be Barbie's youngest sister, but now Chelsea is the youngest! 😲 I feel dumb for not realizing this sooner! 😂

#1 - Barbie In A Christmas Carol (2008) 

As much as I LOVE the FIRST Barbie movie EVER made and the FIRST sisters musical, this movie just gave me ALL of those special Christmas vibes! 💛 Sometimes the Christmas Carol "Scrooge" plotline can become VERY overused for the holiday season! 😬 I hope that doesn't make me Scrooge by saying that! 😂 However, this movie was refreshing and made the classic Christmas Carol storyline seem fresh and new! 👏

This movie does have some sadder moments because that naturally comes with any retelling of the classic Christmas Carol story, but it also has some AMAZING songs, heartfelt moments, and Christmas magic! 🎄💗 

I LOVE when movies allow you to see a deeper side of a "Scrooge-like" character because in this movie you see that Eden wasn't all that bad! 💛 My FAVORITE "spirit" in this movie was the ghost of Christmas past because seeing Eden and Catherine's characters so young and full of life was SO sweet! 💗 

This movie has SO many AMAZING messages about learning that it's never too late to change, learning to help out others (especially children), learning to not make assumptions about others, learning that your past does not define who you are, and learning what true friendship is! 👏💕

This movie had the MOST classic Christmas songs in it, which made this one overflow with Christmas vibes! 💗 Technically, this is marketed as Barbie's FIRST ever Christmas movie, but it was definitely Christmas in Barbie In The Nutcracker! 💝 However, this one definitely had WAY more Christmas vibes and was SO heartfelt that it touches you with that special holiday feeling! 💗
