⭐ Starstruck Sunday ~ Flashback to Valentine's Day 2010 ON DISNEY CHANNEL ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ’›

HAPPY VALENTINE'S WEEKEND!!! WOOHOO!!! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’“

If you didn't see my last post, then you wouldn't know that we're celebrating Valentine's weekend a bit early on this blog and we're having a blast doing it! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’“

We've ranked and talked about iconic Hannah Montana series Valentine's Day themed outfits and now, it's time to celebrate this weekend by talking ALL things StarStruck! ๐Ÿ’“⭐

StarStruck is one of my ALL TIME favorite DCOM's ever... like EVER EVER!! ๐Ÿ’› The BEST thing about it is that it premiered on Valentine's Day in 2010!! Say what?!? It was one of the only DCOM's to ever premiere on Valentine's Day, besides Zombies 2 in 2019! Crazy, right?!? ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’“

I mean, of course, one of the BEST Disney Channel original movies premiered on Valentine's Day... I would expect no less! ๐Ÿ’“ And in this post, we are going to dive in to the world of StarStruck... behind the scenes and on the scene! ⭐

Not only did it premiere on Valentine's Day, but that day happened to land on a Sunday, which Disney Channel ended up naming "StarStruck Sunday"! ๐Ÿ’›⭐

So, on this Sunday's post, we're going to get a little StarStruck! ⭐ Are you ready?!? I thought you might say that! ๐Ÿ’›

Let's do this thing! ๐Ÿ’“

๐Ÿ’›⭐๐Ÿ’›⭐๐Ÿ’›

To start off this post, we have to see what StarStruck Sunday was all about...

Wow! So many things were happening that Sunday night in 2010! ⭐

There's also going to be a lot happening in this post! Starting off with the StarStruck soundtrack song ranking! ๐ŸŽต In between the ranking's list, you're going to see behind the scenes of music videos and the movie itself, awesome interviews, live performances, and even be able to join the StarStruck cast as they tour around Hollywood! Say what?!? Yep, so much is happening in this post and I can't wait any longer to get started! ๐Ÿ’› So, let's go! ⭐

 ๐Ÿ’›⭐๐Ÿ’›⭐๐Ÿ’›

(from least to most favorite)

#12 - Make A Movie (Jasmine Sagginario)

This is one of the songs in the movie that is a background song and as you just saw, this song played during the ending scene at the school dance! ๐Ÿ’› I actually really like this song because it's upbeat and I think it fits perfectly with the school dance vibe! ๐ŸŽต The only reason it's last on this list is because it doesn't have an actual "music video" type scene and that makes it hard to rank against the songs that do have those types of scenes. It's still a groovy song, though! ⭐

Two of the actresses that were in that scene did an interview with none-other-than Jake at Radio Disney! Let's take a look... ๐Ÿ’›↓

One of the cool aspects of this movie is how the actors/actresses who played the "celebrity" characters were actually already living in L.A. and were Disney "celebrities" already and the actresses who played the two sister characters who were new to the whole L.A. scene were actually in real life new to the Hollywood scene! So, some of their real-life experiences were similar to their character experiences! ๐Ÿ’›

Here's a clip of Danielle Campbell, who plays Jessica in the movie, sharing about how she got the role and how new the Hollywood scene was to her! Let's check it out... ⭐

Do you guys here that?

It sounds like a bus is coming...

๐ŸšŒ⭐๐ŸšŒ⭐๐ŸšŒ

I think it's the StarStruck tour bus! ⭐ We better get on before it's too late! Who wants to tour Hollywood with the StarStruck cast? Me too! Let's go! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸšŒ

Wow! How cool were those facts about Hollywood? ⭐ Well, if we're going to be on this tour with all these awesome actors/actresses, then we'd better get to know more about the characters they play in this movie! ๐Ÿ’› Let's find out who's who! ⭐

I guess now that we're touring Hollywood we should officially be welcomed...

#11 - Welcome To Hollywood (Mitchel Musso)

I really like the vibe of this song, but the lyrics have me confused. It seems that he is "mocking" Hollywood in a way and says to live it up before it brings you down. However, he also says in the song that he was "in love at first sight" seeing Hollywood and "wouldn't change it if he could." So, I'm confused. Does he like the way Hollywood is or does he not like it? I don't know. That's why it's lower on the list. ⭐ I know you can't hear the song that well in this scene because it's another background song. So, the only other version where you can see him singing it non-live is when he sang it on Hannah Montana! So, let's check it out... ↓

So, what do you think? Do you like the song? ๐Ÿ’› Think about it while you watch Sterling Knight take over Radio Disney! ⭐

Sterling not only talked about his StarStruck character THE Christopher Wilde, but also talked about Chad Dylan Cooper! ๐Ÿ’› If you know the character Chad Dylan Cooper (you have to say all three names... it's a must), then which character do you prefer seeing on screen more? I, of course, vote Christopher Wilde! This is a StarStruck post after all! ⭐๐Ÿ’›

Speaking of StarStruck, I think the StarStruck tour bus is coming our way again! ⭐ Let's see where we are off to next! ๐ŸšŒ

Woah! Did y'all have your cameras out? ๐Ÿ“ธ I hope so, because we just saw a lot of stars! ⭐

Speaking of stars, let's see what the stars of StarStruck had to say about the music from the film! ๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ’›

Brandon Mychal Smith sure does convey A LOT of energy, which goes perfectly with a hype song like "Party Up"... am I right?!? Let's watch and see him in his energetic solo performance that was the final scene of the movie! ⭐

#10 - Party Up (Brandon Mychal Smith)

He seemed to be having a blast performing! ๐ŸŽค I love how unique his dance moves are and how much he was vibing with the song! I do think this song is fun to listen to, but it's lower on this list due to the fact that it doesn't have a deep meaning like some of the other songs. But, it's still a great song to pump up the volume and vibe to! ๐ŸŽต

I think it's time for another interview sesh with Jake, but this time with Christopher Wilde himself... aka Sterling Knight! ๐Ÿ’›

I agree with Jake... Sterling Knight so should have been in the Send It On music video! ๐Ÿ’› Christopher Wilde 2.0... this time helping save the planet. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒŽ

Hey! It seemed the tour bus got through all the L.A. traffic and is here to take us to another fun Hollywood site! ⭐ What are we waiting for? Let's go! ๐ŸšŒ

Wow! I love learning all this history about Hollywood I never knew before! ๐Ÿ’› Did you see Brandon and Sterling put on their shades at the end of the video? ๐Ÿ•ถ I wonder if they knew what song was coming up...

#9 - Shades (Christopher Wilde & Stubby aka Brandon Mychal Smith)

This song makes me want to put on some shades and drive with the windows down while blasting this song and nodding my head to the drivers next to me... in my shades! ๐Ÿ•ถ I love the vibe of this song, but it's only lower on this list because it's an "I'm better than you" sort of song and I like songs that are a bit more humble! But, I LOVE Stubby's rap part... it's my favorite part of the song! ๐Ÿ’›

Do you want to see what it was like behind the scenes of filming this scene? It's pretty cool! Let's check it out... ⭐

Going behind the scenes is so much fun, isn't it? ๐Ÿ’›

Interviews can be just as fun! Let's watch Sterling Knight share how much hard work goes into making music videos! ๐ŸŽต

I can imagine just how much fun goes on during the making of a music video, but I'm sure Sterling is right about how much effort it takes to make it look good! ๐Ÿ’›

Our next song on the ranking list is one that doesn't come with a music scene all to itself, but one that beat out some of the songs that did...

#8 - New Boyfriend (Anna Margaret)

A background song got ranked higher than an actual music scene, say what?!? Yep, it's true. I love the vibe of this song and how it's talking about wanting to find someone that appreciates all the great things about you! ๐Ÿ’› It's the perfect song to be playing as Jessica walks into the dance! ๐ŸŽต

This is just one of the two songs Anna Margaret sings on the soundtrack! You might think she was new to the Disney Channel scene, but she wasn't so new after all. Check out this interview with Jake and find out how Anna Margaret made it onto the StarStruck scene! ⭐

It's cool hearing about her background because I was born in Louisiana and it's always fun hearing that someone else was too, especially from the movie StarStruck! ⭐

Speaking of StarStruck, I think the bus is back already! We better hop on quick before it takes off without us! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸšŒ

Could you imagine going to Hollywood High School? Even if the name is cool, high school is high school, am I right?!? But I do wonder what it's like not being a celebrity and living in Hollywood... what do the people not in the spotlight think about it? ⭐

The stop at Hollywood High was actually Danielle Campbell's favorite site on the tour! Let's see what she has to say about it... ๐Ÿ’›↓

You might be shocked at the next song on my ranking's list...

#7 - StarStruck (Christopher Wilde aka Sterling Knight)

I know this is THE song for the movie considering it is the title song, but I do think some of the other songs are better! ⭐ Obviously, I still love this song, but the message is not as deep as some of the others. It does paint the picture of the "Hollywood" lifestyle, but I wish there was a verse talking about how it's not all fun and glamorous. However, I feel like you get that a little through the music video by seeing how he wears a disguise to skip all the "fame" moments and just wants to get on stage and do what he loves. ๐Ÿ’› That was my deep contemplation of the music video.

While I continue my deep analyzing, let's watch a fun behind the scenes look at the making of this music video! ๐ŸŽต⭐

It's interesting how Sterling Knight mentions that his favorite song scene to film was "Got To Believe" because that was a song that I never knew existed until I got the extended DVD and found out it did in fact exist! ๐Ÿ’› I have begun to really love that song and the message! So much so, that it ranks one higher than the title song for the soundtrack and movie! I guess Sterling and I have something in common... ⭐

#6 - Got To Believe (Christopher Wilde)

I love the message of this song! ๐Ÿ’› It's all about believing in yourself and knowing what's right for you and also, it's about music and how it makes you feel! ๐ŸŽต I love these lyrics...

This is where I should be

There ain't no other place, yeah

Where my soul really speaks

There ain't no other way

I can feel it, save me, move me, shake me

Gotta go where the music takes me

Let it set me free

You got to believe

Music definitely makes my soul speak! ๐ŸŽต What about you? ๐Ÿ’›

It is meant to be that StarStruck and Got To Believe are back-to-back on this list because at the DVD release party Sterling and Brandon talk about Got To Believe right before Sterling performs StarStruck! ⭐ Let's check it out...

Ready for the sweet slow song scene in the movie... ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽค

#5 - What You Mean To Me (Christopher Wilde)

Isn't that such a sweet scene and song! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’› If you listen closely to the lyrics, it matches Christopher and Jessica's little relationship perfectly! This was my reaction when he sings, "Come take my hand, I want the world to see what you mean to me"...

It's definitely an emotionally sweet song! ๐Ÿ’›

In the midst of crying over the cuteness, I almost didn't hear the StarStruck tour bus pull up! ⭐ Let's go so that we don't miss the second to last tour around Hollywood! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸšŒ

I've heard the Hollywood Hills referenced in songs before, but I've never actually seen them. It didn't seem like that many houses could fit up there, but there was only one side of the hills shown, which makes me wonder what the whole view looks like! ๐ŸŒ‡

#4 - Something About The Sunshine (Anna Margaret)

This is one of those songs I find myself randomly singing throughout the year, especially in the summer! ๐ŸŒž This is such a fun and upbeat summer bop and perfect for a sunny car ride! ๐Ÿ’› The music video is so unique with how they have the scenes as pictures on the wall behind Anna! ⭐ Let's be honest, we're exactly like Anna in this music video with the fact that we've ALL imagined ourselves in a music video at some point! ๐ŸŽฅ

But there's a lot that happens behind the scenes of a music video and Anna shows us just what does go on behind the cameras... ⭐

Wow! That was her very first music video and how awesome was it that it was for one of the BEST Disney Channel original movies EVER! ๐Ÿ’› Wardrobe is always fun to see on any set and woah, were there A LOT of shoes for one video! ⭐

On the soundtrack, there are two versions of this awesome song! ๐ŸŽต One version is just Anna Margaret singing solo and the other is her singing with Christopher Wilde aka Drew Ryan Scott! ๐ŸŽค I love the duet because it's always fun to hear how a boy and girl's voices mesh together, but I also love it for another reason... ๐Ÿ’›

#3 - Something About The Sunshine (Duet)

The other reason I prefer the duet over the solo version is the fact that the duet version of this song plays during one of my FAVORITE scenes in the movie! ๐Ÿ’› Jessica and Christopher touring Hollywood together and having fun is so cute to watch and when they start to sing along to this duet version it's so wholesome! ⭐ This scene wouldn't be the same without this exact feel-good song! ๐ŸŽต

Before we get into my top two picks from this amazing soundtrack, let's take a look back at some of the songs we've covered so far with this Disney Music Playlist! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽต

Now, that's a good playlist! ๐Ÿ’›⭐

Are you ready to see my top two choices?

Let's do it! ⭐

#2 - Hero (Unplugged - Christopher Wilde)

Usually, the unplugged version of Hero would be my number one choice, no question. However, the more I watched the two different scenes with the song Hero, I began to like the studio version better. ๐Ÿ’› I still LOVE this scene, though, and the acoustic version! Younger me didn't listen to a lot of acoustic anything, but she LOVED this version! Mainly, I loved love and I thought it was cute how he played the guitar and how Jessica was watching from the balcony. Yeah... younger me loved all the romance even at ten years old! ๐Ÿ’›

I have a disclaimer to make before I show the next clip that I am SO excited to share! Okay... here it goes. So, younger me did not know that Sterling Knight didn't sing any of the StarStruck songs besides the title song. When I found out, I was a little sad... okay... A LOT sad. But, I started thinking and realized you can still feel attached to a song and it's lyrics by lip-syncing because I lip-sync to songs all the time! ๐ŸŽค The songs that say Christopher Wilde on the soundtrack are actually performed by Drew Ryan Scott, who is a talented singer who also sang some songs for Shake It Up! ๐Ÿ’› But, here is the really really exciting news...

I found an interview with Sterling Knight chatting with Jake from Radio Disney about the DVD release party, which I showed a clip of already with Sterling rocking onstage to StarStruck! ⭐ Well, I never knew that DVD release party happened and I also didn't know that Sterling performed Hero live... LIVE I tell you... like what?!? We actually get to hear his own voice sing Hero live! ๐Ÿ’›

I can't wait to watch it again! So, let's hit play and watch a moment we never thought we'd see... ๐ŸŽค⭐

I know. I know. Why did they cut the performance so short? ๐Ÿ˜ข But, hey, something is better than nothing, right? And now we know what it would have been like if Sterling actually sang it for the movie! ๐Ÿ’› Drew Ryan Scott's voice is still awesome, though, and he did do a great job singing all of the StarStruck soundtrack songs! ⭐

Well, I'm pretty sure you know what my number one choice is because I already kind of spoiled it when talking about the unplugged version... ๐ŸŽค

#1 - Hero (Christopher Wilde aka Drew Ryan Scott)

Like I previously mentioned, I chose this one above the unplugged version because I think it's more interesting watching all the different clips than seeing only one scene of him playing the guitar... even though I still love the chill poolside version! ๐Ÿ’› Also, this comes after all the fun moments between Jessica and Christopher. So, in these clips, you can really see him getting into the song and know he's singing about Jessica when during the poolside scene he had only just met Jessica, so I'm sure during that scene he wasn't singing it to her... even though I like to imagine that he is. ⭐ But, in these clips, it's obvious they're both thinking about each other and the song playing along with them is perfect! ๐Ÿ’›

Well, sadly, this StarStruck Sunday is coming to an end... but not before the very last StarStruck tour around Hollywood! ⭐ So, what are we waiting for? Let's end this thing BIG! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸšŒ

Sadly, Danielle wasn't on the last tour around Hollywood. But, you can catch her playing Jessica in StarStruck, which I'll be doing after finishing up this post! ⭐

And... if none of this has inspired you to go watch the movie... maybe seeing the official trailer might! Hit it! ⭐๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’›⭐๐Ÿ’›⭐๐Ÿ’›

Twelve years ago on Valentine's Day this amazing movie premiered and younger me LOVED it! ๐Ÿ’› Things haven't changed and I still LOVE it twelve years later! ⭐ I can't wait to watch it again this year and I might even try to watch it on Valentine's Day... even though I really want to go ahead and watch it as soon as I get done typing this! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’›

This movie shares a lot of great messages! The main one being how you shouldn't judge a person if you haven't tried walking in their shoes. Jessica gets a taste of what "fame" is really like when she gets a glimpse of what it's like living Christopher's life running from the spotlight. Christopher learns things too from Jessica about being yourself and making your own decisions! ๐Ÿ’›

I hope you all enjoyed this StarStruck Sunday post! ⭐ I know I did! ๐Ÿ’› Which StarStruck song is your favorite and which Hollywood site did you enjoy learning about the most? ๐ŸŒž

The Valentine's Weekend posts continue with a super special one tomorrow! I can't wait for you to see it, but for now I'll leave you with this...

Don't forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making. ๐Ÿ’›
