πŸ’“ Ranking FOURTEEN Love Song Music Videos from Disney Channel Stars πŸ’žπŸŽ₯

Let's celebrate this week by continuing the Valentine's celebration all month long! πŸ’•πŸ’“πŸ’—

In the Disney Channel and Walt Disney universe, there are SO many amazing love songs! πŸ’— When it came to figuring out what I wanted to post this LOVEly month, I thought about SO many different love song rankings I could do! πŸ’Ÿ

So, get ready! There are so many fun rankings to come and one of them is the very one you're reading right now! πŸ’•πŸŽ‰

Disney Channel wouldn't be Disney Channel without the stars of the series starting music careers and having iconic music videos! πŸ’–

I've picked fourteen love song music videos from Disney Channel stars and am so excited to rank them for this love-filled month! πŸ’“πŸ’—

When searching through the stars' music videos, I only picked ones that came out during their time on the Disney Channel! πŸ’• Also, these music videos are from the Disney Channel stars and not the Disney Channel characters they played! πŸ’“ Which means that there will be a separate ranking for the actual love songs from Disney Channel shows and characters... aka Hannah Montana, Austin Moon, etc. πŸ’•

Also, when ranking these music videos, I mainly focused on the music video storyline/concept and how well it went with the song! πŸ’— So, this is a music video ranking, but the songs themselves had a huge impact on how much I loved the music video! So, it's sort of a music video and song ranking all rolled into one! πŸ’“πŸ’•

So, are we ready to get this love song music video playlist started?!? πŸ’— Right on! Let's do it! πŸ’Ÿ

πŸ’“πŸ’žπŸ’“πŸ’žπŸ’“πŸ’žπŸ’“

(from least to most favorite)

#14 - Ready or Not (Bridgit Mendler)

I was a little shocked that this video ranked last on this list because I think we ALL remember when this played on Disney Channel nonstop! πŸ’“ I never got tired of watching this music video during commercial breaks and maybe that's why I didn't get into it as much when I watched it this time around! πŸ’ž Even though this is ranked last, I do love the energy Bridgit brings to this video and how it's a fun summer love song to blast as you go on your own little adventure! πŸ’Ÿ The scavenger hunt idea is actually super creative and fun! Overall, this music video isn't a bad one, but it didn't hit me the same way it used to! πŸ’–πŸŒž

Here's a behind the scenes look at the making of this summertime adventure... πŸŒžπŸŒ‡

#13 - Come Clean (Hilary Duff)

There's a lot I have to say about this music video, but I'm not sure I can turn my confusion into words! πŸ’“ Honestly, this video is confusing to me! To me, it doesn't match the song, but it's still a nostalgic video and that's why it placed second to last and not last... because it did almost make it to last place! The only things that really saved it from being last place was the song itself and the rain! πŸŒ§πŸ’§ I mean, c'mon, a rainy moody vibe will always make a music video stand out! πŸ’¦πŸ’™ After watching this video over and over again, I still think it doesn't match the song that well! I don't see where the love interest part comes in and the ending is super confusing! πŸ’• But, this video is nostalgic and watching some of the behind the scenes did make me understand the concept a little bit better. πŸ’™πŸ’“

If you're confused like me, maybe this will help... β†“πŸ’˜

Isn't it funny how you have to sing in chipmunk voice for a slow-motion video?!? πŸ’— My favorite element in the music video is the one that Hilary actually explained about the leaks in the roof and her trying to place bowls and cups to make sure the rain doesn't flood the house! If you think about it, it's actually a really deep and creative idea! πŸ’§πŸ’“

#12 - Remember December (Demi Lovato)

Something that helped when comparing the music videos I had trouble ranking (these last three) was to think about which music video I'd want to be in the most! πŸŽ₯ I LOVE 80's music and this song has an eighties vibe to it for sure! πŸ’“ There isn't much to the music video, but I think it's perfect for this song! I love the simple band-type performance with Demi just rocking out with her band in a super cool outfit! 🎀❀ The song itself is a bittersweet type of love song! It's all about trying to remind someone of the good times when that person has begun to listen to others about leaving the relationship behind! πŸ’ž It's cool how the Camp Rock 2 cast is in the video as well, maybe hinting to who the song is about... I'm stretching it here because I honestly have no idea who was with who during this era! πŸ’—

Want to see some behind the scenes action?!? Hit it! β†“πŸ’“

 #11 - Smile (Meg Donnelly)

A lot of the love songs on this list are pretty deep once you really concentrate on the lyrics! πŸ’“ I love deep and meaningful songs, but there's also something about a song that just makes you want to vibe and dance and one that doesn't make you think too much! This song is one of those! πŸ’• I love how simple, but amazing this song is! It's a whole vibe! πŸ’— The music video is perfect too! This is a summer bop for sure! 🌞 This video and song bring happy vibes and first-love type energy! πŸ’– My favorite lines are...

When we met it was a summer

I remember heat and fireworks, lights

Said I was a stunner (Said I was a stunner)

Had me feelin' I was comin' alive

This is a cute summer love song all about wanting to make someone smile! How cute! πŸ’“

So, there isn't any behind the scenes clips! 😒 Don't be sad, though! There is something even better! πŸ’“ Meg actually did a version of this song in Japanese! Yes, you read right! Japanese! πŸ’— I LOVE when songs are sung in different languages! So, what are we waiting for?!? Let's check it out... β†“πŸ’“

#10 - Round and Round (Selena Gomez & The Scene)

Selena Gomez and The Scene music videos were iconic on Disney Channel and everywhere! πŸ’— They are some of the most nostalgic music videos out there! πŸ’• This one was never my favorite out of all the others growing up, but it has grown on me more now that I'm older! I always thought this video was filmed in London, but it was actually filmed in Hungary while Selena was filming the movie Monte Carlo! πŸ’“πŸŽ₯ I love the color scheme of the music video and how it's all neutral-toned colors! The spy concept is actually really cool and perfect for the location of the music video! The song can get repetitive, but it works for the lyrics! By the time you finish listening to the song, you feel like you've gone round and round yourself, but the song still has a vibe to it that makes you want to replay the song over and over again making your head spin round and round! πŸ’ž This video also has some cool outfits, but we won't talk too much about those because that might or might not be in a different post later on... πŸ˜‰πŸ’“ However, my favorite look in the video goes along with my favorite location scene in the video...

I LOVE this look, especially with the background of engraved images on the wall with the gold lights! πŸ’“β€

There isn't an official behind the scenes look for this music video, but there is a nostalgic Disney Channel promo for it! πŸ’“ Let's check it out...

#9 - Come Back To Me (Vanessa Hudgens)

Just like Vanessa couldn't seem to stop laughing during filming this video, I can't help but laugh every time I watch it! πŸ˜‚πŸ’“ This video is a whole vibe! Her dancing, the R&B sound, the swinging from the chandelier... what was that? LOLπŸ’“ This is for sure an early 2000s music video and I love it! R&B music has a special place in my heart because it reminds me of where I grew up and my childhood! πŸ’ž Watching this video makes you want to get up and dance! πŸ’ƒ It's a simple, but fun video! ❀ The song itself is sweet and is all about wanting the person you love back in your life! πŸ’•

Here is a fun Disney Channel promo for the music video that shows a little behind the scenes look... β†“πŸ’–

#8 - Can't Blame a Girl for Trying (Sabrina Carpenter)

When this music video first came out, I was obsessed with it! πŸ’— I LOVED the song so much and played it over and over and over again! πŸ’• In my opinion, this is one of Sabrina Carpenter's BEST songs she's released and the album this song is on is my FAVORITE album of hers! πŸ’Ÿ It's such a pure and innocent little love song album that has some amazing songs! This one being one of my favorites, of course! πŸ’— The music video is so creative with all the different transitions! It's a genius idea! πŸ’“ My favorite transition is when she spills the drink on the bedside table and accidentally steps in it, but it turns into glitter! πŸ’– Honestly, this video gives off such a positive and happy vibe! The whole thing is filled with bright colors and the song matches the concept perfectly! πŸ’•πŸŽ₯

I could go on and on about how cute this video and song is, but I'll let you go ahead and take a peak into the making of this creative music video... β†“πŸŒž

If you were paying close attention, then you would have noticed there was a deleted scene that was shown where Sabrina pretended to blow her nose and it turned into confetti/glitter in the tissue! At first, I questioned why they cut it out of the music video, but when I just typed it out it does seem like an "interesting" concept to put in the video... what do you think? Should it have been left in? πŸ’“

#7 - Say OK (Vanessa Hudgens)

Lyrically, I think this song is one of the best songs sung by a Disney Channel star! πŸ’“ As a kid, I didn't fully take in the meaning of the lyrics because I was super young! However, now that I'm older, this song is one of the most realistic love songs out there! The fact that the lyrics deliver such a mature view of love is awesome considering Vanessa was just eighteen here! πŸ’• The song should be heard more by young people these days because the version of love sung in this song is the love you should be looking for in a person! A person that makes your heart feel safe. A person that won't run away when things are hard. A person that sticks with you through everything. A person that can commit to one person. A person that will make you feel better when it's not alright.

A person that says OK.

If I was just ranking the songs on this list, then this one would be wayyyy higher... maybe even number one! πŸ’“ But, this post is mainly about the music videos and while this one is super nostalgic, it's a little gloomy! Part of me likes the blue-tint feel of the video, but part of me thinks it's too gloomy! But, it does match the mature tone of the song and it still has it's fun scenes at the bowling ally and the diner! Does anyone else think about the movie A Cinderella Story during the diner scene of this video? I can't be the only one! πŸ’“

There isn't a behind the scenes look for this music video, but Disney Channel did come out with an alternate music video that is a look into her performance of this song during the HSM concert! πŸ’— Let's check it out... β†“πŸ’“

Disney Channel didn't overlay that video with Vanessa's actual live performance, but used the studio version instead. But, her live performance is really good! So, here is the live version for those who want to listen to this song just one more time... it's that good! πŸ’“

#6 - Love You Like A Love Song (Selena Gomez & The Scene)

This music video and song is pretty iconic! πŸ’• I didn't fully understand the concept of the music video until I watched a video of Selena actually breaking it down a bit. So, here is that video to watch before I continue my thoughts... just in case you're a little confused by the music video as well! πŸ’“

So, each look/era is supposed to show the different types of love stories that come with those eras! πŸ’“A whimsical hippie-type era. A mid-17th century old-fashioned era. A rebellious 50's bad-boy era. And Selena Gomez doesn't even know what that last look/era was, but the random mariachi band is actually my favorite thing in the video! πŸ₯πŸŽΈπŸŽ΅ This video is a lot of fun to watch because of all the different costumes and the karaoke idea is pretty genius! πŸŽ€πŸ’“ Of course, the song is amazing too! It's one of my FAVORITE Selena Gomez & The Scene songs! It's super upbeat and makes you want to fall in love just so you can relate to the lyrics! πŸ’—

So, if you still don't fully understand the concept of the video... *cough* like me... then, the behind the scenes video will give you a clearer view of the whole crazy fun concept! πŸ’“πŸŽ₯ Let's check it out!

It must have been a lot of work to film all of those different scenes in those costumes, but I'm sure it was also a TON of fun! πŸ’“

Here is one more video where Selena talks about this bop of a song! ❀🎡

This song was and is so iconic that it was even featured in a DCOM, which is one of the only times I remember seeing a song from a Disney star covered in a DCOM! πŸŽ₯πŸ’“ It's an amazingly sweet scene, so let's watch this clip from the DCOM How To Build A Better Boy! πŸ’•πŸ’“

 #5 - Lovebug (Jonas Brothers)

This music video is a cinematic masterpiece! πŸ’“ It's brilliant! πŸ’— It's like it's own little movie! πŸŽ₯ The whole concept goes perfectly with the vibe of the song! This song was never my favorite because I was never much of a Jonas Brothers fan as a kid. However, this music video has opened up my eyes to how amazing this song is and when a music video can do that, then you know you have made something special! πŸ’ž The whole 40's love story concept with the Jonas Brothers being a part of it in a "background" sort of way is genius for this song! Like, I literally can't say enough about this music video! πŸ’“ One of my favorite parts is the instrumental break when they are all chilling out and sipping their retro sodas! πŸ’“ My other favorite part is the dance scene, of course! I mean, the flower petals falling down in slow-motion... it's just so perfect! πŸ’•πŸŒΈ

Disney Channel had special commercial breaks to show behind the scenes of this amazing music video! Let's check them out! πŸ’“

#4 - Naturally (Selena Gomez & The Scene)

This is another super nostalgic music video that I LOVED as a kid! πŸ’“β€ I remember doing the little hand movements and dancing to this song with my sisters and cousin! πŸ’• This music video is pretty simple, but in a good way! The kaleidoscope effect is super unique and cool! πŸ’“ I love all the color schemes and the outfits! My favorite kaleidoscope effect is when it's red and black and her outfit matches the colors! β€πŸ’“ This song has always been one of my favorites from Selena Gomez & The Scene and will always be one of my FAVORITE love songs! πŸ’“ I think we can all think of a person when listening to this song who is naturally confident and sure of themselves, which makes you want to share that same energy! πŸ’—

Here are some behind the scene looks at the making of this incredible music video... ❀↓

Did you know that Selena Gomez at first didn't want Naturally on her album? Let's hear what she has to say about it... πŸ’“β†“

Aren't we all so glad she changed her mind and put it on the album?!? πŸ’“β€ Yes. Yes, we are.

Here's what Selena thought about the music video when watching it back a few years later... πŸ’“β†“

#3 - All I Want (Olivia Rodrigo)

Technically, this song was created for the Disney+ series that Olivia is on and a series that I personally do not watch. However, this song was written by Olivia and has a separate music video that is separate from the show! So, I think it belongs on this list! πŸ’“ This is more of a self-love song about having different relationships and at the end of the day wanting to be okay with just loving yourself without having to be in love with somebody else! πŸ’• It's a very deep and meaningful message and while the music video is very simple, it's the perfect setting for this ballad! πŸŒ… This music video is aesthetically pleasing! I LOVE sunsets and my FAVORITE part of the video is when the sun is setting behind Olivia whose playing the piano in the water! πŸ’“ I love the simplicity of this video because it let's you focus on the lyrics of the song! πŸ’— Honestly, it's a relaxing video to watch because the setting is beautiful! Like, God created that peaceful setting and can you just imagine sitting at a grand piano playing in the middle of that masterpiece?!? Perfection!πŸ’“

Here is a behind the scenes look at this peaceful music video...  πŸ’—β†“

#2 - A Year Without Rain (Selena Gomez & The Scene)

As a kid, this music video never clicked with me. I loved the song, but the video was never memorable to me, except now it is! πŸ’“ As you saw, the setting of the music video matches the song perfectly! I love how much thought went into the video and how the picture shown with the two hands is actually a personal picture of Selena's! πŸ“ΈπŸ’• I've come to realize from this music video and the previous one that I LOVE when they are filmed outdoors in nature, especially a desert type vibe like this one and the previous one! πŸ’“ I guess there is something I love about vast expanses of nature untouched and how much of a freeing vibe it gives to music videos! πŸ’— Rain is classic in a love song music video, especially when the love song is about feeling as if you're experiencing a year without rain when you're away from your significant other! The rain pouring down at the end because Selena sees the guy she loves coming towards her is super cute! πŸ’•

I not only think about this song in a love song type of way, but it also has elements in the lyrics to relate it to your faith as well! πŸ’“ Sometimes it can feel like God isn't close, but then something happens and it's like you can feel a downpour of His love surrounding you! This song can get pretty deep any way you look at it! πŸ’•

Let's watch some behind the scenes of this lovely music video... πŸ’“πŸ’¦β†“

Wow! Music video shoots must be longer than I thought because she said she left her house at three in the morning and thirteen hours later they were just starting to do the rain scene... 😲... they did mention a lunch break, though! Also, it's a music video and that has to be a super cool project to do no matter the hours! πŸ’“

Here is another video of Selena talking about this iconic music video... β†“πŸ’—

The fun doesn't stop there with this song! πŸ’• Did you know that Selena did a Spanish version of this song and filmed a music video to that version as well?!? I know! I LOVE Spanish music! πŸ’“ So, what are we waiting for?!? Let's watch it! β†“πŸ’“

No wonder it was such a long shoot! She filmed two different versions of this song! πŸ’“ Let's give a round of applause for all the hard work put into these music videos! πŸ‘πŸ’“

Okay, before I reveal my number-one choice for BEST love song music video from a Disney Channel star, I have to admit that I changed my top three picks at the VERY last second! πŸ˜²πŸ’“ Originally, I had All I Want as number two and A Year Without Rain as my number-one choice! I know. Shocking, right?!? πŸ’• My official number-one choice is one I have not been able to get out of my head while typing this whole post and I realized that if I ever got to choose to be in any of these music videos, then I easily choose the next one hands down! πŸ’“ This next one tops them all!!

So, are you ready to find out my number one music video choice?

Are you sure you're ready?

I don't think you're ready...

I think you're still thinking about the previous music videos...

Is your mind cleared of those other videos to experience this amazing one...

Not saying the other ones weren't amazing...

Because they totally were...

But, this one is even more amazing...

You want to know, don't you?

Okay...

Okay...

I'll tell you...

But, you know what we must do before I share this HUGE reveal with you...

We must have a drum roll...

So, drum roll please... πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯

 #1 - Replay (Zendaya

This is the music video I'd want to be in if I ever had the chance to be in one! πŸ’“ Dancing was a huge passion of mine when I was younger and it still is, even though I don't do it as much these days! ❀ This music video has it all and even matches the song perfectly! πŸ’“ It has singing, dancing, and even a little bit of acting with the small "love story" concept with the guy who disappears throughout the video! πŸ’ž I love the R&B flare added to the song and the hip-hop choreography! β€πŸ’“ I remember being obsessed with this video and song when it first released! Watching it again so many years later makes me want to get up and learn the dance in the video, just like I did when I was fourteen! πŸ’“ The song itself uses music as a metaphor just like in "Love You Like A Love Song", which is one of my favorite metaphors used in lyrics! I mean, we can ALL turn on a specific song and be reminded of someone special and that's what this song is all about! πŸ’ž I know I've replayed a song over and over again just to keep thinking about a specific person because music keeps them near even when they're far as long as you keep replaying the songs that remind you of them! πŸ’“

Here are some fun behind the scenes clips that I'm sure you'll enjoy watching... β†“πŸ’“

My favorite part is the same one Zendaya said was her favorite, which is when they start doing the main choreography with the black and white outfits! ❀♑

In the first behind the scenes video, we got to meet the choreographer for the music video whose name is Ian! πŸ’“ Well, from what I've gathered, there was this dance tour/company called "The Pulse" and Ian was a choreographer for that dance tour/company. Well, Zendaya actually did a special performance with some of the dancers on that tour and of course, she performed to the song Replay! πŸ’ž What's really exciting is the fact that Zendaya didn't sing during her performance and instead, she performed a full dance combo to her song! πŸ’“ A FULL DANCE! πŸ’ž I cannot wait for you to see the full dance to this incredible song, but I have to share my favorite part before you watch the video so that you don't miss it! πŸ’• Towards the end of the song, you see a man run up on stage in a suit and start dancing! That man was Ian and it was the first time he performed his own dance choreography alongside Zendaya for this song! πŸ’“ Super cool, right? Well, now that you know what to look for, let's hit it! ↓❀β™ͺ

πŸ’“πŸ’žπŸ’“πŸ’žπŸ’“πŸ’žπŸ’“

I had so much fun watching all of these music videos and ranking them and I hope you had fun too! πŸ’— I love the month of February and how it makes you want to listen to ALL the love songs and feel all the feels! πŸ’“

These fourteen love song music videos are all iconic in their own way and all amazing in their own way, as well! πŸ’ž Which music video/song was your favorite? Did your favorite song out of the fourteen choices match your favorite music video? πŸ’“

I can't wait to share more iconic Disney Channel love songs with you all before February 2022 is another month in the books! πŸ’• Next up is ranking love songs from the actual Disney Channel original series! I can't wait to begin that post! πŸ’“

But, until then, don't forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making! πŸ’—
