This is my first official post of the year... CRAZY!!! 🙉💛 I am so excited to jump right into this post... so, let's go!!! 🎉🎇

The Disney Channel New Year's Eve Countdowns are iconic! I mean, Disney Channel stars coming together to count down the New Year... what more could you ask for?!?
Now, sadly, these countdowns are super hard to find! 😢 However, there are some of them on YouTube that were uploaded by some awesome Disney fans and I am so glad those fans uploaded these hidden gems! 💛
Now, some are still missing! Here's the 411... ↓
Who remembers ZOOG? Yeah... you have to be super OG to remember what Disney Channel was called back in the day! ZOOG was the name for Disney Channel's "tween" block that aired in the afternoons with all of our favorite OG Disney Shows and the first New Year's Eve countdown actually started with ZOOG! 🎉
There were four ZOOG Countdowns...
🎉 Zoogin' New Yearz Eve Party (1998)
🎉 Zoog2k: Zoogin' New Yearz Eve Party (1999)
🎉 3rd Annual Zoogin' New Year's Eve (2000)
🎉 4th Annual Zoogin' New Year's Eve (2001)
ZOOG was a completely different Disney Channel vibe and just for all of you I have put together a fun compilation of some of the ZOOG New Year's Eve countdowns! 💛 Let's check it out... ↓
ZOOG ended in the fall of 2002, which also led to the ending of ZOOG's New Year's Eve Countdowns... but don't play the "awww" sound effect yet... because something better (in my humble opinion) came along that changed Disney Channel FOREVER... okay... that was a little dramatic... *cough*
What is this "better" you ask? Well, I have an answer... because if I didn't this would get awkward very fast...
The Answer = Disney Channel stars began hosting New Year's Eve Countdowns!!! Yay!! 🎉
The 2002 New Year's Eve Countdown was hosted by the That's So Raven cast and was called "A Raven's New Year's Eve"... which is one of the countdowns that is probably in a Disney vault somewhere because I couldn't find it ANYWHERE!! 😲
But... I did find this... and that's all that exists... ↓
So, fun fact, in 2003 the That's So Raven cast hosted the New Year's Eve Countdown as well! But, here's what I couldn't find out, was it a rerun of the 2002 countdown or did they do a whole new taping with different guest stars and outfits?!? I guess we'll never know...
In 2004, things got changed up a bit and the Phil of the Future cast hosted the countdown! It was called "Disney Channel's New Year's Eve House Party" and again, it's nowhere to be found... *cue sad dramatic music*
There is this though... not much... but hey, it's something... right?... 💛↓
I know you're probably wondering which ones aren't hidden because there seems to be A LOT of countdowns in the vault...
Well, I'm happy to say that I found full versions (well... semi-full... I'll explain in a bit) of the 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010's countdowns!! WOOHOO!!! 🎉🎉
2007's countdown was called "Happy U Year" and was hosted by... well... YOU! 💛 That was the year videos were sent in from viewers around the world and were aired during the countdown! Now, between those videos, the Disney Channel stars did share some of their New Year's resolutions and things they loved about 2007... sadly, those clips are missing! 😢 But, I did find as much content as I could from "Happy U Year"... so, what are we waiting for?!? 💛↓
In 2011, there was no Disney Channel New Year's Eve Countdown and there hasn't been one ever since... 😢 But, Disney Channel did create a brand new segment called "JaNEWary" that lasted from 2011 to 2014! 💛 Here's what I gathered for "JaNEWary"... ↓🎉 I think I'm officially a Disney Channel detective.

Phew! That was A LOT of information, wasn't it?!? Well, now the ranking can officially begin with the countdowns that still exist! 🎉💛
Each New Year's Eve Countdown was shown throughout commercial breaks during episodes chosen on DisneyChannel.com by viewers! During some countdowns, music videos were also chosen and played along with the episodes! Sadly, except for the 2009's countdown, there aren't any videos out there that show which music videos and episodes were chosen for the other countdowns! 🎵 But, there are still the main clips featuring the Disney Channel stars during each countdown! 🎉
Each countdown was unique in it's own way! So, are you ready to see how each countdown ranked on my list?!? Me too! Let's go!! 🎉⭐

#5 - Shake It Up New Year's (2010)
If you've read my previous blog posts, then you know that I LOVE Shake It Up and have ever since it premiered! So, you can only imagine my eleven-year-old-self being sooooo hyped that the Shake It Up cast was hosting the New Year's Eve Countdown that year! 💛 The reason it's last on my list is solely because this was the shortest countdown out of them all... I know... super sad, right?!? I think there could have been so much more content, especially because dancing was incorporated! Where were the fun Shake It Up dances? I do LOVE the energy that was going on ALL NIGHT during the countdown, but it was still very short compared to the others! It's still a whole vibe, though! 🎵 Along with the main clips of the stars on stage, there were also added clips of dance tutorials for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam! 💛 You can find the countdown clips on YouTube, but here is the intro for those who can't wait to rewatch this iconic Disney Channel event! 🎉↓
P.S. I wanted to share the clip of the cast counting down from ten to ring in the New Year, but sadly, I couldn't find that clip! So, I guess we can all just use our imaginations for that one! 😀
#4 - New Year's Eve Star Showdown (2009)
I was so excited to rewatch this one because I LOVE the Disney Channel games and this is super similar to that except it's a New Year's Eve theme! I love watching the Disney Channel stars compete in challenges and these New Year's Eve challenges were a lot of fun to watch! Some of my favorite challenges were the trivia ones the stars had to answer about other DC stars and I loved the "Guess the Song" challenge as well! 🎵 The reason this is lower on my list is because it didn't have some of the classic segments the others had, which I'll talk about during my next pick! However, this is the countdown that has the version on YouTube that includes all of the commercial breaks shown along with the countdown, including the music videos!!! 🎉 It was so exciting getting to see which music videos were chosen because I LOVE music and Disney Channel music videos are iconic! 💛 So, without further ado, let's watch the top ten music video choices for the year 2009 on Disney Channel!! ↓🎉
I LOVE watching old Disney Channel commercials and when watching this countdown there were so many funny and inspiring commercials that I completely forgot existed! Some of them being the most dramatic Wizards of Waverly Place commercials to ever exist, but also the BEST!! Check them out... ↓
Speaking of commercials, one of the segments missing during this countdown are the clips of the stars "expressing themselves", which you'll see in a moment during my other choices. This countdown didn't include that segment, but it did have some "express yourself" inspired commercials that are very heart-warming! 💛↓
Now, onto a segment that was included in this countdown, the stars sharing things about their year and saying their New Year's resolutions! Let's see what the stars wanted to achieve for the year 2010... ↓

Before we say goodbye to 2009, let's see one more commercial that is one of my FAVORITES because it has to do with one of the BEST DCOMS ever!!! Hit it! 🎥↓
*The reason this one didn't make it to my top three is because while it was very fun to watch the stars participate in fun challenges, it was missing that cozy-personal vibe that the others have with the stars gathering around on couches and talking to each other. It is still a must-watch though! 💛
#3 - Disney Channel's Totally New Year (2008)

This countdown had some of the classic segments that I love like the photobooth, the clips of the stars sharing their resolutions and answering questions, and the sit-down talks with stars of upcoming DCOMS!!! 🎉 I love how cozy this one feels because it's filmed on the apartment set from Wizards of Waverly Place! I love the sit-down talks the stars have with each other and just the all-around vibe! Everyone seemed excited and hyped to be there and I love how literally almost every Disney Channel star made an appearance! Let's watch the stars share their resolutions for 2009... 🎉↓

#2 - Totally Suite New Year's Eve (2005)
This one was soooo close to being number one! Honestly, it would probably hit number one if the full version existed, but sadly... it doesn't. 😢 The whole vibe of this one is AMAZING! I love how it's set at the Tipton hotel... like what?!? The Tipton? Yes! The Tipton!! 💛 I love how this one has a lot of the OG Disney Channel stars and it has all of the classic segments that make the New Year's Eve Countdowns iconic! The photobooth, the dancing, the express yourself booth... or in this case the express yourself elevator, and it even has a segment where the stars walk into the Tipton and chat about their resolutions and outfits! Also, there is a greenscreen segment that is a lot of fun too! There are so many different things to watch during this countdown and I wish we could all see the full version! But, there are still a lot of awesome clips to watch! Starting with some fun entrances from the That's So Raven cast... ↓
My FAVORITE segment is the "express yourself elevator" and the fact that in some of the clips there is actual elevator music playing is PERFECT!! 💛 Check it out... ↓

#1 - Disney Channel's New Year Sing-Along Bowl-A-Thon (2006)
YAY!!! A sing-along and a bowl-a-thon?!? Both? Yes!! You read that right! Not only is their singing and bowling, but there are so many other fun segments that put this countdown at number one! 🎉 What are those other segments I'm talking about?!? Let's watch and find out... ↓
So many exciting things to watch! One stands out the most because it's even in the title... BOWLING!! Let's watch some of the stars get their bowl on and even watch some get their jump on... 🎳↓
Wow! That was some awesome jumping and bowling! Let's take a break from all the bowling-lane action and jump over to the photobooth! 📸↓
Like I said during my number two pick, the "express yourself" segment is one of my favorites and this one is no exception! 💛↓
So, we have the bowling covered, but what about the singing?!? The three songs chosen for this sing-along countdown are some of my ALL TIME favorite DCOM songs!! The stars looked like they were having so much fun being on stage and even the ones in the crowd seemed hyped and were smiling the whole time! So, what do you say Wildcats? Let's get this singing started... 🎤↓
One of the best parts about this countdown is how they went around the world and spoke to Disney stars from other countries about their New Year's Eve traditions! Hearing about different ways celebrations happen internationally is so cool!! Not only that, but the Disney stars counted down the New Year's for EVERY country! How awesome!! Well, we can watch the awesomeness by hitting play... 🎉↓
In my opinion, this countdown is the best because it has SO MUCH exciting content and watching it makes you feel like you're celebrating right along with the Disney Channel stars! I love all the segments and the energy everyone had during them! It's definitely my number one! 🎉⭐🎳🎤

I loved getting to watch all of these because... I can't believe I'm about to admit this... this stays between you and me... okay... here it goes... I didn't make it to midnight this New Year's Eve! 😲
I know... I know... how could I even admit that?!? Well, it's true! I didn't get to countdown the New Year's... I thank a long shift of work for that! But, thanks to these Disney Channel countdowns, I felt like I did make it to midnight and did get to countdown to the New Year!! 🎉
You know me, I LOVE celebrating and this post was so much fun to create because it was literally all about celebrating the new year!! 💛🎇
I don't have New Year's resolutions, but I do have New Year goals! My goal is to keep being positive as much as possible and to experience every emotion as they come and to learn from them... good and bad!
