๐ค Ranking The Bonus (Never Before Seen) Songs From ICONIC Disney Channel Musicals โค
Let's celebrate this week by ranking songs I never knew existed from Disney Channel Musicals!
When Disney Channel aired these musicals on this list, they left out some songs you wouldn't have heard unless you bought the DVDs. My sister had the HSM 2 DVD, which means I've heard "Humuhumunukunukuapua'a" before! However, the other songs on this list were completely foreign to me when I first heard them recently!
It was exciting to discover new songs from some of my favorite childhood movies that I never knew existed! I wanted to create this post to bring that excitement to any of you that also have never heard of these underrated songs that should have definitely been in these movies!
So, are you ready for this?!? Because Our Time Is Here ๐ธ to Cherish The Moment ๐ฐ and It's Not Too Late ๐น to bop to these songs! I'm sure while listening you'll be thinking discovering this Feels Like Love ๐พ as if you've been Walkin' In My Shoes โญ recently!
So, let's go back to those nostalgic days of our Different Summers ๐ค and feel as if we're Livin' On A High Wire ๐ with the rush of memories that these Disney Channel Musicals will bring!
So, are you ready? It's time for some song rankings!! โค

(from least to most favorite)
#8 - Different Summers (Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam)
This song is sweet, but it is on the slow side. There isn't a lot happening, which isn't bad, but it doesn't get me hyped! That's most likely why they didn't add it in the original premiere of the movie. The song does describe Mitchie and Shane's relationship in the fact that they haven't seen each other in a while and it's almost as if they're starting all over again. It is super cute how Shane seems really into the song and looks so cute watching Mitchie in her element on stage singing about their relationship! So, yes. This is last on the list, but it's still a good song! Give it a listen... ๐ธโ
When I first heard this a few weeks ago, I was shocked it wasn't in the movie! This song is hype and they have so much energy performing it! It almost has a country vibe, which is something different for the band, but a good different! Of course, there's another iconic rapping break in the song, which makes it unique from some of their non-rapping songs! In this scene, the band is performing on an interview show and there's even an extended scene with them doing the actual interview, which I'm not surprised wasn't in the movie because honestly that scene is a little awkward and wouldn't have been a good ending. However, the song itself is really good and I love how it's not just Olivia as the main singer, but also Mo! Grab your lemonade an hit play... ๐โ
Okay, my sister (backtodisneyblog.blogspot.com) thinks this song doesn't fit with the India vibe of the movie! Do you agree? Because in normal younger sister fashion, I disagree! Lol. I think this song and scene would have fit into the movie so well because there isn't another "love song" that connects the couples in the movie. This scene is so sweet and shows the different relationships progressing... and Dorinda all alone (#relatable in a good way ๐)... who needs complicated relationships... even though younger me was heartbroken that Joaquin and her broke up (still sort of bitter about that)... but the other relationships are still cute! One of my favorite parts is when the characters Gita and Rahim have there duet moment. Their voices blend really well and I love that they added their characters into this song! So, debate time! Listen and see which side you're on... Does it belong in the movie? ๐โ
I actually really like this song and scene! In my opinion, it's a much needed Mitchie ballad that belongs in the movie! She even sits at the piano and sings and that would have made such a good parallel and connection to the first movie! I love the message about not giving up and figuring out a way to fix things because it's not too late! I love this ballad and I'm sure you will too! Do you think it belongs in the movie? Let me know after listening... ๐นโ
Okay... funny story... when first creating this list... I wasn't going to add this song! ๐ฒ I have so many childhood memories of watching this scene on my sister's DVD and remember thinking exactly what Troy says before the song begins... "What the heck?!?" ๐ฎ But I decided to give it a listen anyways before finalizing this list and guess what?!? I couldn't stop laughing... and I couldn't stop replaying it!! It's strangely addicting to listen to, which has me believing that there has to be something in HSM songs that makes you want to listen and listen and listen to them!! The fact that this is number three on my list is really shocking and amusing at the same time! But, like I said before, it's strangely addicting! And the scene itself would have fit into the movie not only to show how insane and obsessed Sharpay really was, but to show why Troy was actually late to his and Gabriella's date, which is the next scene in the movie. What do you think? Was this song absolutely unnecessary for the movie or do you like it? Let's play this obnoxious song, shall we? ๐โ
This song so belongs at the end of this movie, but not in replace of Amigas Cheetahs! Instead, it would have been perfect to have playing while the credits were rolling! One of the plot points in the movie is Chanel coming to terms with her mom's relationship with Luke and how she's the main reason stopping him from proposing. When he finally proposes after a heartfelt conversation with Chanel, then it leaves you wondering what's next and here it is! This scene is the missing piece! It's such a sweet song about cherishing each moment and living for today! I mean, we not only get another amazing cheetahlicious song, but we get more Joaquin and Dorinda moments. Adult me is still just as hyped over their relationship as younger me... and I'm not sorry for it!! The vibe of this song is so chill and the scene itself is beautiful! I mean, it's a wedding!! How could it not be beautiful?!? That was a rhetorical question. Okay, now I'm just rambling, so let's play this thing Cheetahs and Cheetohs!! ๐พโ
