💜 My Top Ten Shake It Up Dance Costumes To Wear This October - Disney Channel MONSTOBER 👻

Let’s celebrate this week and season with some more awesome costume ideas and this time these top-ten picks are from one of my favorite shows… Shake It Up!!

Almost EVERY episode of Shake It Up features a dance number and along with those dance numbers comes some incredible outfits that can definitely inspire your costume choices this season!

I do plan on sharing my top-ten dances from SIU in another post. However, there might be a couple of those top-ten choices sprinkled throughout this post… can you guess which ones also made it onto my top-ten dances list? Costumes are an important part in dance numbers because they are a visual representation of the emotions you’re trying to convey through the choreography. I can’t wait to share these costumes with you! So, what are we waiting for?!? Let’s get this costume party started!

💜👻💜👻💜

(from least to most favorite)

#10 – Parent Trap It Up (S2E16) **Ep. 17 on Disney+

These costumes totally give me “One World” by the Cheetah Girls vibes!

I love the bright colors and all of the glitter/jewels!! These costumes not only look incredibly comfortable, but it would also be a lot of fun to dress in attire that is a part of a different culture. Which one do you prefer, the mostly blue one (CeCe’s) or the mostly pink one (Rocky’s)? I love Rocky’s the most because of the color and it’s a lot more sparkly!

Oh, and I actually like the red one that the character Gita wore in “One World” the best, but Dorinda’s out of the three Cheetah Girls'!

#9 – Love and War It Up (S3E15)

There are three costume options in this dance and I’m curious as to which one you’d choose? My personal choice would be Alice even though I’m sure that’s the basic choice! I could totally see my younger-self dressing as Alice, especially because I was obsessed with the live-action movie when it came out. I think Alice would be a fun character to dress as and pretend you’re in a dreamland for a night!

#8 – Lock It Up (S3E4)

I LOVE these outfits! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! These are 80’s inspired outfits and if you know me then you know I LOVE the 80’s!! I love both CeCe’s and Rocky’s outfits, but I think I’m going to have to make my final choice Cece’s. I love the pink and yellow together and the green shoes! However, I do love how Rocky has sparkles on her outfit! Which one do you prefer? Also, the song “Contagious Love” that plays throughout this performance is a total bop and I wish it would have been Bella’s and Zendaya’s version, but this version works too! I would pair these outfits with a boombox and you are all set with the perfect 80’s vibe costume!

#7 – Switch It Up (S3E14)

Marching band anyone? Drill sergeant anyone? This outfit can be interpreted in a few different ways, but I would pair it with a whistle and march and blow my whistle ALL night! I love the colors of this costume and how it’s just simple and well-put together! I would even make a mini-drill routine up and do 10 push-ups after hitting up every tenth house. That sounds fun, right? You gotta work to get your candy! 🍫🍬

#6 – Whodunit Up (S2E18) **Ep. 19 on Disney+

This is a fun one! My mind automatically goes to the Clue game that I played a lot as a kid when I see these outfits! It would be fun to wear this and go around peoples houses with a magnifying glass asking if anyone saw whodunit! Of course they’d have no clue 😉 what I was talking about, but that’s all a part of the mystery! I love how this costume is green and black, since green has been my favorite color lately! I could definitely get into a detective mindset for the night while wearing this. It would be a total blast!

#5 – Shake It Up, Up and Away: Part One (S2E3)

Okay, I don’t know exactly what I would call this costume, but that doesn’t matter! Dressing in neon and painting my face with neon colors would be so much fun! I wonder if I would glow in the dark?!? I LOVE this dance and I LOVE these outfits and it’s a blast from the past because eleven-year-old me LOVED neon!! I prefer the neon yellow/green skirt that CeCe is wearing. What about you? These could be some cool costumes to wear with friends so you can all glow together! What would you call this costume?

#4 – Surprise It Up (S2E26) **Ep. 27 on Disney+

THIS costume! This costume. It is perfect! I love the whole masquerade vibe and Cece’s costume is my favorite with the pink and black dress that has sparkles and the cool black and white tights! I love costumes with fun masks and Cece’s and Rocky’s masks are so different and interesting! I personally would pair Rocky’s mask with Cece’s costume and have the perfect masquerade costume! Which costume/mask do you prefer?

#3 – Embarrass It Up (S2E27) **Ep. 28 on Disney+

I have always loved racecar driver outfits! They just seem so cool and sporty! Oh, and if I could afford it for one night, I’d totally get a small car like in the picture and drive around the neighborhoods in it. How fun would that be?!? I love how you can personalize this costume too with different patches and you could also add your favorite number on it. I literally love this costume idea and if I was still a trick-or-treater you know what I’d be dressing as! I love both of the colors and would be fine with yellow or red! How about you?

#2 – Tunnel It Up (S2E19) **Ep. 20 on Disney+

Zenon vibes anyone? I think YES! I LOVE these costumes so much that they almost made it to the number-one spot! You’ll find out why they didn’t after this. I’ve always LOVED the outfits in Zenon and these totally look like they could have come from that movie trilogy! I LOVE the blue and silver and just the whole look of them! The helmets would be difficult to breathe in and so I think I’d do a cute headpiece instead, but this costume just screams futuristic! Do you like it? Would you wear it this October?

Are you ready for my number-one costume pick? Drum roll please… 🥁🥁

#1 – Age It Up (S1E6) and Funk It Up (S3E2)

Okay, okay. Let me explain. I know I’m technically cheating by putting two different costumes for my number-one choice, but I have a reason. My number-one pick is definitely the costume from Age It Up, but I thought the outfits from Funk It Up have the same baseball vibe and I want to know which “baseball” costume y’all prefer. Like I said, my absolute FAVORITES are the Age It Up costumes because they look so comfortable and cute! The navy blue and red colors and the letterman sweater make the outfit what it is! I do love how the other option is a more classic baseball vibe, but I still prefer Age It Up’s outfits! I think the main reason I picked these costumes for my number-one choice is due to nostalgia. I played softball growing up and anything that reminds me of my softball days goes at the top of my list! Plus, I’ve loved the outfits and dance from Age It Up ever since it premiered when I was eleven! Justin Starr anyone?!?
