πŸŽƒ My Top Ten Disney Channel Original Series MONSTOBER Costumes 🧑

Let’s celebrate this week and season by ranking the Top Ten Disney Channel Original Series MONSTOBER costumes! I had so much fun sharing some of my favorite Disney Channel fall looks in my last post and figured it would be an equal amount of fun to rank DC characters costumes!

It took a lot of time to create this post, but it was totally worth it! I hope you love seeing some iconic MONSTOBER costumes! Hey, they might even give you some ideas for your own costume this year! Unless, you’re a stay-home-eat-cookies and watch MONSTOBER episodes person like me… then you’re super cool, of course!

Okay, with our coolness being established, let’s go!

 πŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘

#10 – Alex Russo (Wizards of Waverly Place)

This is the best costume I’ve EVER seen! I mean, look at how unique it is! If everyone doesn’t wear this on October 31st this year, then what will they wear? Okay… you can probably sense the Alex Russo sarcastic humor in this, right? This is literally just a shirt that says “Costume” on it. It’s the type of thing only Alex Russo can come up with! Savage at the least. Honestly, I stopped dressing up a long time ago, so this does seem like something adult-me would wear. But, this is still a joke #10. I just had to put this one to trick you guys! Hey, this post might be a nice treat, but I didn’t say there wouldn’t be any tricks!

The REAL #10 – London Tipton (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody)

We’ve all dreamt of being a princess when we were little, right? Well, except for us Cheetah Girls. We don’t want to be like Cinderella sitting in a dark, cold, dusty cellar… because who wants that? But, some of us did want to be a princess and I’m sure this is similar to the costume we dreamt of wearing. However, I’m pretty sure London is a fairy princess because of the wand, which makes it even better! I love how sparkly this costume is, which isn’t a surprise because I can literally hear London’s voice saying, “SPARKLES!” The crown, the wand, the bow-shaped necklace, the gold gloves, and of course the pink sparkly dress… it all makes for a perfectly cute costume! Just grab your glass slippers and you’re ready to go get you some candy!

#9 – Luann Stewart (Hannah Montana)

So, I have a question. If you’re a fan of Disney Channel, then I know at some point you were most likely a fan of Hannah Montana. So, my question is… Did you ever dress up as Hannah Montana? I mean, what surprised me when creating this post was the fact that my sisters and I never dressed up as Hannah Montana even though we were huge fans. I feel like that costume would have been EVERYWHERE in 2006, yet neither of my sisters, or myself, picked it! Interesting.

Miley who is Hannah went as Hannah to the party in this episode, so technically she didn’t dress up because she’s already Hannah people just don’t know that she’s also Miley, but Luann (her cousin) who wasn’t Hannah Montana went as Hannah, so technically this counts as a costume option. Woo-wee! That was a doozy! If I ever dressed up as Hannah Montana, at the end of the night… at the last house… at the very last house… are you ready for this?!?… I don’t think you’re ready… at the very VERY last house… gulp**… I would reveal my true self and take off the wig and say, “I’m Hannah Montana.” I mean, you’d have to, right? Classic costume pick for sure! Oh, and if I ever tripped walking to a house, which would definitely happen to me, I would just stand up and say, “Nobody’s perfect.” πŸ˜‰

#8 – Avery Jennings (Dog with a Blog)

This costume is so whimsical and I love how it’s purple with some green thrown in! My oldest sister dressed as a fairy one year, but she was a blue one! Her costume wasn’t as elaborate as Disney Channel obviously makes theirs, but she still worked it and got lots of compliments and candy! I love how flowy this costume is and how it reminds me of the Tinker Bell Movies! Younger me would have LOVED this because I loved the color purple! I love the flower detail on this costume and the wrap-around boots! Definitely a super-cute costume!

#7 – Chloe James (Dog with a Blog) & CeCe Jones (Shake It Up)

Technically, Cece is wearing a costume, but it wasn’t for a Shake It Up MONSTOBER  episode. However, the character Chloe is wearing a similar costume and it WAS for a MONSTOBER episode! So, I figured I’d combine them to show how I like Chloe’s, but I think CeCe’s is more fun and not as serious-looking. Does that make sense? I prefer the pink over the red, as well as the shorter-length over the longer version. I actually remember wanting to be the “Queen of Hearts” as a kid, but I didn’t choose it as my final costume that year. I almost put this one below Avery’s fairy costume, but I like how this costume could be fun to wear with some attitude! I can see whoever wearing this strutting down the neighborhood streets ready to sass their way into some full-size candy bars! Which one do you prefer, Chloe’s or CeCe’s?

#6 – Ally Dawson (Austin & Ally)

I’ve always loved costumes with masks because no one knows who you are underneath it and you feel you can be anyone other than yourself for a night. Not saying I don’t love myself (self-love is important), but I think it’s cool to dress in something you’d normally never wear and pretend to be… oh, I don’t know… a superhero or something for the night! Which is exactly how Ally overcame her stage-fright in this episode! This costume totally gives me LazyTown vibes, though. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to be Stephanie when I was a kid and have the bright pink wig and wear pink all the time, but thinking back to that show sometimes gives me weird vibes. Anyone else?

I love the song Ally sings with Austin in this episode and I guess that’s part of the reason this costume is so memorable! It is definitely a unique costume and I love the metallic silver!

#5 – Ally Dawson (Austin & Ally)

Yes, Ally has two costumes on this list. Yes, her friends talked her out of wearing this one and that’s how she ended up wearing the one above. I know in this episode Ally explains what specific person she is dressing up as with this costume, but I forgot the name. However, no matter if her friends thought the history lesson she gave on it was boring or not, this costume is still super cute. I mainly just love the colors and the wrap-cape-thing. Oh, and the hat! I’ve read a lot of fiction books set during WWll and one of those books had a nurse as the main character. I LOVED that book and this costume reminds me of it, so I would totally be thinking I was that character if I wore this! It’s basic in a good way! The white, navy, and red are perfect together and again, the cape-thing makes this costume what it is! Do you like it better than the superhero one above?

#4 – K.C. Cooper (K.C. Undercover)

So, I’ve never been a Marvel fan… please don’t throw your candy at me! I grew up LOVING the OG Spiderman and never cared for any other superhero or Marvel character. However, recently I watched the Black Widow movie because I wanted to see a woman superhero that showed girls can be crazy-skilled too. I mostly enjoyed the movie. There were only a couple comments I didn’t like, but the action was top-notch! So, what does this have to do with K.C. Undercover? Well, this costume reminds me of the Black Widow! Now, I haven’t seen this episode, or really any K.C. Undercover episode (again… no candy throwing!), but I have seen an episode where I’m pretty sure this is her regular spy-outfit. Maybe I’m wrong, but even if I am, I would still call this a costume. It ranked high because of how much it reminded me of the Black Widow’s outfit and how tough it looks! I might have wanted to be a princess when I was younger, but don’t let that fool you into thinking I didn’t want to be a spy either. I wanted to be both. So, maybe this can be worn underneath London’s fairy princess dress. Hmmm… now that’s an idea. Princess Spy… check!

#3 – Maya Hart (Girl Meets World)

Okay, confession time. I honestly don’t know what this costume is. I know I’ve seen this episode before, but that’s way back when it premiered! Yeah, it’s been that long. So, I’m not sure if they explained it in that episode, but I wouldn’t remember it even if they did. However, I love how chaotic this costume is. The sparkly shorts caught my eyes first. Then, it was the marching-band type blazer/jacket with a coat-tale thing. The pirate-type vest was next and the top-hat followed. The shoes were last and tied the whole outfit together. So, even though I have no idea what this costume is, I like it that way! It’s fun and unique and chaotic at the same time! The perfect combo while playing baseball in a gym… okay, seriously, does anyone remember what this episode even is?!?

#2 – Kim Crawford (Kickin’ It)

I know this is so basic. A zombie cheerleader… BASIC!! But, I was a dead-bride when I was seven and this would have topped that costume for sure! I did cheerleading as a kid and for a year in high school, but I never dressed-up as one for fun and I never got to wear a uniform that had a cute skirt like this one with yellow underneath. There isn’t much to say about this costume other than the fact that it just clicks with me. I think it would be fun to be disheveled on purpose and this costume doesn’t look complicated and actually looks comfortable to wear. I also love the hairstyle. I would have totally picked something this simple as a kid! Did you ever dress-up as a cheerleader? I wonder just how basic this costume actually is. But, hey, there’s nothing basic about a zombie cheerleader knowing karate!

I don’t think you’re ready for my number-one pick…

Drum roll please… πŸ₯

Are you ready?!?

Are you sure you’re ready…

Okay… Okay… Here it is!!

#1 – Stan the Dog (Dog with a Blog)

OMG!! Is he not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?!? Well, other than my dog Abby, of course! Stan’s costumes are ICONIC! I mean, look at how many costume changes he had! And that merman tail… genius!! Don’t get me started on the hotdog costume! He’s the coolest dog on the block for sure! Look at his photogenic face and the way he works that knight costume! Stan is the man! Which look of his is your favorite?

 πŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘

Well, I had so much fun creating this post for you…

Wait a second!

You didn’t actually think I was being serious with my number-one choice did you?

I told you there would be tricks! πŸ˜‰

Stan is adorable, but he gets beat out by one other costume from one of my FAVORITE shows ever! Sorry Stan! You’re still the man, but you’re four costumes don’t win over this next one…

My REAL #1 – Luna Valente (Soy Luna)

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated every year in Mexico and in places where Mexican heritage runs strong. It is described as a day of joyful celebration, instead of mourning. It is a strong part of Mexican history and even though I personally don’t celebrate it, I do find it fascinating! It is celebrated the 1st and 2nd of November and the Sugar Skulls that are infamous around the holiday represent a departed soul.

Soy Luna has a whole episode dedicated to this holiday and it is one of my absolute favorites! It’s so festive and the costumes are AMAZING! My favorite is Luna’s costume, but I also love Nina’s and Ambar’s! Really ALL of them are great!!

Luna’s costume was also used in the concert without the sugar-skull makeup to go with it. Do you prefer it with or without the makeup? I prefer the makeup because that is a part of the Mexican tradition!

Watch these videos and you’ll see just how amazing this episode really was!

                                                                 πŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘πŸŽƒπŸ§‘

Well, it isn’t a joke this time! This really is the end of this post! 😒 I had so much fun making this and I hope you had fun reading it! Which costume was your favorite out of the ten? Comment it down below and let me know!

Thank you so much for reading this! I’ll see you next Tuesday for more celebrating! Don’t forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making!

I’ll let Stan do the official sign-off for this post… he was a little upset about not being #1!
