🎃 MY DISNEY DCOM TRICK OR TREAT BAG (AN ORIGINAL IDEA) 🍫🧡

Let’s celebrate this week and season by having some fun talking DCOMS and candy! Yes. CANDY!!! So, umm… not meaning to sound un-humble or anything... but… this is an idea that I am extremely proud of creating! I mean, I worked reaaaaallyyy hard on this and even if no one finds it entertaining… I am still really happy with the results of my random brainstorm I had the other night!

You’re probably wondering what I’m getting so hyped about, huh? Well, I LOVE so many DCOMS and as a kid I LOVED trick or treating and getting ALL the candy!! So, I’ve combined the two. I’ve chosen some of the most popular candy I got in my trick or treat bag as a kid and I’ve chosen a DCOM to go along with the yumminess!

Is the picture still kind of fuzzy? That’s okay! You’ll understand the concept once we get started. So, let’s go!

DISCLAIMER: I have eaten organic for seven years now, so I won’t be eating any of this candy this season. However, I LOVED the majority of what I found in my trick or treat bag as a kid and by all means if you LOVE all of this candy this season then enjoy it! Okay, disclaimer over. It’s CANDY time!!

 🍬🎃🍫🎃🍬

#1 – M&M’S (A DCOM that features Music & is Memorable)

Which M&M flavor was your favorite as a kid? I personally LOVED the peanut ones, but the original ones were mainly what I found in my trick or treat bag! Those were good to put in vanilla ice cream though!

The DCOM I chose to go along with this classic candy is one of my absolute favorites! So, are you ready to see my choice? Look below

I LOVE Starstruck so much! For a long time, I named it my favorite DCOM and it still is at the top of my list! It’s another great DCOM that shows that usually your assumptions don’t add up in the end and your left with finding out that a person is a lot different than what you originally thought. Here is one of my FAVORITE scenes that has music and is definitely one of the most memorable moments from the movie! ↓

#2 – Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (A DCOM character that has a tough exterior but is sweet on the inside)

I LOVED Reese’s cups as a kid, but don’t ever offer me the pieces or I might throw-up. No, like for real! The last time I had the pieces was when I was eight and I actually threw up. No joke! I haven’t had them since. But the PB cups were always the best! I’m curious… did anyone ever try the Reese’s Puffs cereal when they were younger? The commercial is iconic, but I never tried them. Were they just as delicious as the candy? Let me know!

Here’s the DCOM character I chose to go along with one of the most popular candy picks

Gotta Kick It Up is another one of my FAVORITE DCOMS! I love how it is all about Latin American flare! Seriously, why hasn’t Disney made more Hispanic movies? Daisy’s character was definitely tough on the outside for sure! But her character had a lot of depth and she learned what being a part of a team is all about! Check out her character transformation in this clip ↓

#3 – Hershey’s Chocolate Bar (A DCOM you have seen more than four times)

Hershey Bars are classic! This is something you know for sure you will find in your trick or treat bag. Some say they taste like plastic and some love them purely for nostalgic reasons. I’m one of those nostalgic reasoning people myself, so I think they taste fine… especially on Smores! What do you think and what is your favorite flavor if you do like them?

Depending on how you look at it, Hershey bars have three sections of four pieces or four sections of three pieces. I always look at it from the horizontal angle. So, I see it as four sections of three pieces, which is how I came up with choosing a DCOM that I’ve seen more than four times. Get it? I got technical with that one, didn’t I? So many movies could have been chosen for this, but I wanted to go with one I try to watch every October. Curious as to which one I chose? Well, here it is!

I can’t wait to watch this one this week! I love the vibe of this movie and that it is set in a movie theatre. I used to always go to the movie theatre as a kid, which makes this movie all the more nostalgic! Tell me if you don’t feel nostalgic while watching this clip

#4 – Hershey Kisses (A DCOM with your favorite sweet kiss)

Hershey Bar or Hershey’s Kiss? They taste the same, but one is just cuter! I used to get the big Hershey’s Kiss for Christmas every year and loved that little tradition for a long time! It’s all about celebrating good times with the little things, isn’t it? I’m not sure if I found these a lot in my treat bag as a kid, but I bet some people have found a kiss or two before! Have you?

For this one, I had to choose one of my favorite ships of all time! Can you take a guess? Well, see if you were right…

ZEDDISON! I know I clipped the scenes to where it was as if they kissed after singing Someday instead of One for All, but it matched the vibe better! Who is excited for ZOMBIES 3?!? Ahhh, I can’t wait!!

#5 – Twix (A DCOM that features siblings)

Left or right Twix? Kidding. Both, of course! Twix were one of those chocolate bars that I really liked as a kid but never chose when it was between them and the chocolate above. Honestly, I would probably choose them now though if I ate non-organic candy. They were very crunchy (and caramel-ey?) and just delicious all around!

I chose to pick DCOM siblings for this one because there are two bars in each package and who says they are twins? So, siblings it is and these two sisters are very realistic and fun to watch! What sisters, you may ask?!? These sisters

Erica and Courtney have one of the most realistic on-screen sibling relationships featured in a DCOM. They are sassy to each other, but have their deep moments when it counts! Watch these clips and let me know if you act this way with your siblings ↓

#6 – CRUNCH Bar (A DCOM character that seems to be going through a rough time)

If you loved Lunchables, then you have eaten a CRUNCH bar before. Crunch bars are actually really good and definitely a classic! Did you love opening your Lunchable and finding them as your special treat or would you have rather had a different dessert?

CRUNCH bars have a rough feel on one side of them and that’s how I came up with this prompt! Want to know who I chose? I will say that this was the EASIEST choice by far and all you have to do is watch this next clip and you’ll agree with me 100%... I’m sure of it!

#7 – Baby Ruth (A DCOM that features baseball or an iconic baseball scene 😉)

Okay, for some reason, I thought as a kid that I was such an old soul to love Baby Ruth bars. I was the only one out of my sisters that really liked them. I saw them as “vintage” candy bars and thought I was so mature when I picked one over all the other candy bars at the store. I know… I was an interesting kid. I also LOVED softball as a kid and thought it was meant to be that I loved Baby Ruth bars as well. Yep. Super cool kid.

Okay, I just looked up the history of Baby Ruth Bars and umm… that is some complicated history right there. However, this candy bar does have a strong connection to baseball and that’s where my prompt came from. I know what you’re thinking I’m going to pick though….

But you’re wrong. Tricked you! 😛

My actual pick

I’m sorry, but I knew you’d think I would pick HSM 2 because of the winky face. However, I want to feature Eddie’s Million Dollar Cook-Off because it has some great messages and baseball is a huge part of the movie! This movie goes against stereotypes and shows that boys can be interested in cooking and girls can be interested in baseball. Some people in this world still think that a woman’s place is in the kitchen… let’s not go there. Girls and boys can love cooking and girls can hate cooking as well. Also, girls can LOVE baseball too and guys can totally be into other things other than sports. Like I said, inspiring messages are throughout this movie! Watch and see ↓

#8 – Snickers Bar (A DCOM with a lot of layers)

Anytime I think about Snickers I think about my sisters because these were their favorites! I feel as if the choice was always between Snickers and Milky Ways for me and I always chose Milky Ways. However, I did love Snickers because of the many delicious layers.

Speaking of layers, I chose a DCOM that has multiple storylines and a diverse cast that made the movie really special! What movie is so special that I chose it along with a Snickers Bar?!? Hmmm… Watch and see ↓

As you can see in the clip, this movie is a military-based movie and it touched on some difficult topics, including 9/11. It is definitely a must-watch and really pulls at your heartstrings!

#9 – Milky Way (A DCOM that you think is out of the world!!)

Remember when I was just talking about choosing Milky Ways over Snickers… well, I would actually choose them over practically every other chocolate bar (if I ate non-organic of course). The gooey caramel and rich chocolate coating… mmmm… anyone getting hungry? These were the chocolate bars you’d try to save from your trick or treat bag for a special time but never make it past ten minutes without eating one!

I am so excited to share my DCOM choice because it matches PERFECTLY with this candy bar!! Drum roll please… the movie that is out of this world is…

ZENON is one of my favorite DCOMS! What can I say other than ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!

#10 – Swedish Fish (A DCOM that is set by a lake or ocean… no fish are in pools)

I’m going to be honest with you here… I never liked Swedish Fish! This was definitely a candy that I would trade someone else for something out of their trick or treat bag. What about you? Do you like Swedish Fish?

Even though I don’t prefer this candy, I do LOVE this next DCOM! It’s definitely a unique one! Any guesses?!? ↓

That clip was one of the most normal scenes you can find in the movie… LOL. I really enjoyed this movie as a kid and recently rewatched it and got ALL the feels! It matches Swedish Fish pretty well because I can see how it might not be a lot of people’s top-pick movie. It just depends on your “taste”. I don’t like the candy but love the DCOM!

#11 – SweeTarts (A DCOM with a bittersweet ending)

If I wasn’t picking chocolate as a kid then I was absolutely picking SweeTarts! These were my jam! I saw these as my “power pills” and ate them when I wanted to get hyped on A LOT of sugar! Which one was your favorite color? BLUE ALL THE WAY!

If you read my last post, then you’d know that I recently watched Going to the Mat for the first time and LOVED LOVED LOVED it!! I didn’t want it to end! So, of course it fits perfect with one of my favorite childhood candies!

SPOILER ALERT: Don’t watch this next clip if you haven’t seen this movie yet. It’s the bittersweet ending scene and I don’t want you peaking at it until you watch the whole movie… capiche?

#12 – Twizzlers (A DCOM with a lot of twists and turns)

Do you want to know a candy I absolutely disliked as a kid? Well, here it is! I don’t even have any words for this candy because I never liked it and always gave it to my sister because she loved it. So, Ariel this one is for you! Do you like licorice?

To go along with this very strange candy, let’s talk about a very strange DCOM. Strange in a good way. ↓

I watched this for the first time recently and let me tell you, it was VERY interesting. I can’t tell if I liked it or was plain-out scared of it. Okay, it wasn’t THAT scary… well, the creepy dolls were! This one has a good message about not growing up too much and it did keep my attention. It had so many twists and turns that I felt dizzy trying to figure out exactly what the heck was happening! Watch for yourself… but I warn you that you might get scared… boo! Or shall I say BOOgyman?!?

#13 – Fun Dip (A DCOM with an iconic friendship)

When I think of Fun Dip I think about elementary school and childhood friends and all the warm and fuzzy nostalgic feelings! Which flavor was your favorite? I loved the blue/green package one!

I featured this next DCOM in my last post and I mentioned how the friend-group in this movie is such a fun one! Bowling, 50’s vibes, childhood nostalgia… what’s not to love? Can you guess what DCOM it is?

Did you guess right this time? Amazing! You’re on a roll! This clip will show you why this is such an iconic friend-group ↓

#14 – Starburst (A DCOM that gives you a burst of nostalgia)

Starbursts were one of the only fruity candies I actually enjoyed (along with SweeTarts of course!) and would always be anxious to see if I got any reds or pinks in my trick or treat bag! We all know the reds and pinks are the best!!

There are so many nostalgic DCOMS! I chose one that I used to watch all the time as a kid and loved it even more as I got older! I’ll give you a hint… JORDAN CAHILL!!!

Yep… Stuck in the Suburbs bursts with all the nostalgia! Who else copied the dance they do to the song at the end? Anyone?!? I knew I wasn’t the only one!

#15 – Lifesavers Gummies (A DCOM song that makes you feel all gooey on the inside)

Gummies can be considered gooey right? Yeah, let’s go with that! These were another fruity candy I LOVED, but I loved them the most when I was a teenager. The original flavors were good, but the wild berry package… mmmm… so good… and the package is purple! I would get excited if I found the gummies instead of the hard candies inside of my trick or treat bag. Which one did you prefer? Gummies or hard candies? Gummies all the way!

Narrowing down DCOM song choices is a tough task… but I finally chose one! Ready… set… go!! ↓

Two words. Proto Zoa. This song is my FAVORITE song from all the Zenon movies! I could actually cry while listening to it because of how much nostalgia I feel when watching this scene ↓

#16 – Now and Later (A DCOM that hasn’t gotten old now and won’t get old later)

These candies have GREAT flavor and if they could be a little softer then they’d be the REAL deal! I guess that’s why they call them Now and Later’s . If they were too soft then it wouldn’t take you as long to eat them and you’d have nothing left later on! I don’t remember which flavor was my favorite, but I do know I would get a lot of these in my trick or treat bag! Which flavor was/is your favorite?

A movie that never gets old and that I would totally watch now and later is…

This was another movie featured in my last post because it’s THAT good! I love this movie so much and I will definitely be watching it later! Just watch this ice-skating scene and you’ll want to watch it too… or ice-skate… or ice-skate while you watch this movie… hmmm…. Now there’s an idea! ↓

#17 – Tootsie Roll (A DCOM with an iconic dance scene)

Tootsie rolls… good ol’ tootsie rolls! The candy you were guaranteed to find in your trick or treat bag whether you wanted to or not. I was actually one of the kids who didn’t mind getting Tootsie Rolls! Oh, and remember the colored Tootsie Rolls! I almost forgot about those! I loved the yellowish/brown ones that were vanilla flavored, I think. Wow! What a throwback! Did you like the original or colorful ones?

Time for an iconic dance scene! One word… PIZZA!!

This scene was so random and funny, but the dancing actually made me want to get up and dance myself! Anyone wish something like this would have happened when you were in school? I sure do! Things would have been a whole lot more interesting!

#18 – Dum Dums (A DCOM you watched that made you feel like a Dum Dum for not watching it sooner)

Okay, here is the number one question… which Dum Dum pop was your favorite? If there was a blue colored candy then that was automatically my favorite flavor! But I also loved the bubblegum pink one! These were always thrown into our trick or treat bags and it was fun to see which flavors you ended up with at the end of the night!

So, I’m about to break one of my own rules. Technically, I wanted to not repeat movies during this post. However, I have to mention this next movie a second time because I LOVED it that much and yes… I felt like a Dum Dum for not watching it sooner! Hurry and make your guess! 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… times up! Here it is… ↓

I can’t talk about this movie enough! It’s just so incredible! I shared this clip on my other post, but here it is again because it’s basically my favorite scene ever!! ↓

#19 – Sour Patch Kids *so sour you could almost cry* (A DCOM scene that left you emotional)

Sour Patch Kids were a candy that I got into right before I started eating all organic, so I didn’t have them a lot. However, I do remember really liking them even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of sour things. There was a blue kid which made it even better! Which color/flavor was your favorite? I’m not sure if these were given out as much as other candy for trick or treating because when they became really popular I was already ‘too old” for trick or treating and stopped (my choice completely). If you still trick or treat, are these a popular handout?

Now, if you kept reading to see an emotional scene, then this one will have you tearing up for sure! This is one of those DCOM scenes that hits close to home and brings out my younger-self emotions! Get your tissues ready…

But we can't forget this scene either...

This DCOM is definitely filled with ALL of the emotions! 😀😢

 🍬🎃🍫🎃🍬

Woah! That was a lot, wasn’t it? But it was sooo worth it to get to share DCOMs based on candy! How fun!! Since this post was so long, I’ll make this short.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post! Comment your favorite candy on this list and your favorite DCOM mentioned! I’ll see you next Tuesday for more celebrating! Don’t forget to celebrate each day because each day is a memory in the making! 🧡

  1. Very cute post sis! You know me I love anything chocolate (preferably the snickers or twix that you mentioned). But, I also love the fun dip and starburst ones that you did. :)
